The real reason for this review is to commend La Mesa RV for putting together an organization thats makes it an enjoyable experience in shopping for a motor coach. For example: our sales advisor was Don Pickering who provided all the information we needed. He made us feel very comfortable; he was honest in his approach to financial limitations and worked hours and days (even on his day off) to help us reach our goal. Few employees make the effort that Don made to assure us of complete satisfaction. All of the La Mesa staff were very courteous and friendly, which speaks volumes for La Mesa's business philosophy. Mr. Pickering introduced us to Larry Irvin, who acted as our financial advisor. Larry worked tirelessly to obtain the best interest rate he could for us. Awful experience that never ends with service. It has been 4 months, and i am still trying to get my RV warranty repairs done. Terrible communications. You will always need to call in if you want to know something. And good luck getting that call back when you leave a message. They are completely disorganized and not customer focused. Sad that I am actually looking forward to getting out of warranty for the small repairs. It's just not worth the hassle. LaMesa RV does a nice job on the sales end. The problem is that they sell 3-5 times as many RV's than they can service. With most motorhomes you have about a one year warranty and need to take it back to LaMesa for resolution. LaMesa service department is the worst is have seen. Took over 2 months for 10 routine items to be fixed. They lied about where they were at in the repair process and never communicated with me unless I called them. Drove in to likely purchase an RV I had seen on the internet and talked to them about. A salesman walked up to my open car window without a mask. When I told him I was handicapped and would need to take my car over to the RV, he abruptly said cars were not allowed and that I would have to walk. He never offered a ride in a golf cart or anything. He never offered to bring the RV out to me. My driver and I left disappointed and shocked that we had been treated so rudely. read more

Worst RV dealer for communications. I recently sold my RV. During the process, several dealers reached out to me based on my rvtrader post. LA Mesa was one of them. The first buyer from LA Mesa called and asked a bunch of questions and asked for pictures. I responded and sent all he needed. I was assured an offer was coming. After several email and phone follow ups I gave up. I got a second call from a different buyer, more of the same. A bunch of wasted time in discussions and pictures sent. I asked him to use the file the first buyer had, but he couldn't. Still not offer even though one was promised. The third buyer was the same. I now realize that this is just the way LA Mesa works. No communication at all. If you don't want the RV, that's fine, just tell me. Don't promise an offer and never send it. For reference, Kelly, Chase, and John were the 3 buyers who I worked with, and wouldn't recommend. read more

We purchased a 2020 Winnebago 22R from La Mesa RV in Phoenix and took delivery Friday, March 6. On our 2 hour drive home, we stopped for fuel and heard what sounded like a tire puncture. Instead it was a leak from the propane tank. All I knew to do was to get the RV out of the gas station. I do not want to tell the entire ordeal but we learned a few things about propane. The key point of this is as follows: IF YOU CANNOT STOP A PROPANE LEAK WITH A SHUTOFF VALVE, CALL THE FIRE DEPARTENT. La Mesa sent a mobile tech but they could not fix the problem and did not get back to La Mesa. The next day, Saturday, Richard Toth from sales and the delivery manager, James Lemaster, called me before La Mesa opened, to find out about our situation. They asked if I could bring the RV today, Saturday, and assured me that they would resolve the problem. Normally, service is light on Saturday if at all for RV's. I took the RV and they found the problem to be faulty O-ring. To repair the tank would of taken a long time, so La Mesa replaced the tank with a new one. I was driving home in 3 hours. In addition, they paid for a full tank of gas and gave us a starter box of hoses. We are extremely pleased with service at La Mesa. read more

WE PURCHASED a 42 ft fifth wheel Luxe by Augusta a week ago from LaMesa RV on line from Mark. The transaction went smoothly. Don the sales manager was very personable and helpful. We had a generator and washer and dryer installed. .the Technician that installed these was very polite and professional and did a great job. Garry Cotton the walk thru specialist was outstanding. .he paid special attention to all the details and went up and above as well as Roman .Everyone was very nice we worked with..also Leslie the finance manager, Dawn in parts, Memo the service advisor and Sherry the receptionist. We purchased a used Class B camper van from La Mesa. Though the financing process was easy, the pick-up revealed some shady swap-outs, including an oil change performed incorrectly by their own service garage (the warranty insists it be done at a Sprinter service dealership) that ultimately caused a problem we needed to pay a Sprinter dealership to correct. La Mesa did not accept responsibility for the error, even though they admitted they did the oil change themselves. Additionally, we began to have problems with the batteries that run the camper shortly after purchase. This was surprising, given that La Mesa told us the batteries were "updated." After several camping trips with battery issues, we took the batteries in to a shop, where we discovered the batteries were actually older than the camper itself. So yes, La Mesa put different batteries in - older batteries that had very low voltage (2 Volts in what should be 6 volt batteries). I wish we could say we were shocked, but at this point, we kind of expect this from La Mesa. read more

I had my Oman generator serviced by this company. I left it up on my property in North eastern Arizona after I had it serviced. Rats got into the generator box after a month. I had to clean Out the box and checked to find the hole they chewed through to seal it. La Mesa RV pulled off the three access holes and didn't replace them. Now I have wires I need to replace and also replace the access holes. Thanks a lot la mesa. You caused me a lot of trouble and more work than I had you fix. Never going back to them again. They will take every shortcut to do the work you ask for. Make sure they did the work you asked for. You may have a bad surprise like I did. Never go back. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOCATION/HORRIBLE SERVICE. I have grown up camping, and my family has owned trailers or Coaches my entire life. My husband and I were so excited at the reality we could purchase our own. The young salesman was nice and had no complaints when we brought back our kids to ensure everyone would have plenty of room. In August 2018, we traded in our toyhauler and ended up purchasing a Winnebego 31G. Upon delivery, several cosmetic items that were suppose to be corrected in the coach were not, so they scheduled an appointment for us to come back. That weekend we took our first trip, and discovered several items were not right. The fridge latch was warped and opened while driving. On the way home, the generator would not run under load, and the refrigerator kept shutting off. Luckily, we bought the magical extended warranty were they "would always treat us like family if something went wrong". When we called to add these items on to our schedule appointment for the other issues, the appointment was pushed back due to parts. It was then moved back once again because there was time (we were told if we brought it in, it would just sit there for a month). After an eight week delay, we brought it in, just to be told it would be a while as they had too many new coaches to get ready for delivery.....So at this point I am upset. During camping season, we go about every six weeks. The weekend in October I brought it in was suppose to be our second trip. My coach has been in the shop for FIVE WEEKS, and we just missed our Labor Day trip to the dunes. The repair technicians communication was very poor, and sales does not want to take any accountability for us paying for a coach for three months that we have been unable to use. Moral of the story, these is a horrible dealership and service department. So sad that they are willing to take advantage of people who save and work to be able to afford and RV, only to sell you something broken and let you pay for it while it is unusable. read more

Shady salesman alert! We went to the Westworld RV show in Scottsdale last weekend. My family wants to upgrade our trailer and wanted to start looking at our options. We were met at the show entrance by a salesman. We started chatting. We told him what we're looking for and he took us to see some trailers on the show floor. After a bit, we found one we liked. We weren't ready to buy that day, but we liked the guy enough to get his card and to continue to work with him once we do decide to pull the trigger. He offered to get us a brochure. We said yes. He told us to go back and sit in the trailer we liked and that he'd be right back. So we did. And we waited and waited and waited... Needless to say, he never intended to come back. It was just his sleazy way of dumping us because he wasnt going to get a sale from us that day. And on our way out, there he was again, talking with another family. Why would we ever do business with a company that hire sales people that are so disrespectful of a potential future client? The answer is we would not. When we got home, the business card went straight into the trash. read more

One star because I couldn't leave none. I live out of state and bought a quarter of a million dollar diesel pusher from them. Flew down after changing my flight once because it wasn't ready. Did the walk thru, pointed out half the air bed was flat. Delivery guy said "Oh it's just not blown up, it's fine". The bag of manuals shown in the pictures was gone. "Oh, we'll find those". Left for the 3 day drive home. Water heater doesn't work. I call my salesman and the delivery guy about the issues. They want to send me to a local RV dealer that's backed up. I say, "Hey, let me look at this thing myself now that I'm home." Fixed the water heater just by cleaning the diesel jets. Found manuals online so I can deal. Found the air hose was torn out of the chamber. Sent LeMesa pics, They say "Too bad, we're not covering the bed." Now this is not something that went wrong on the way home, this was pointed out during delivery and was assured "We don't sell junk". Now they won't return my calls because they are afraid to buy a bed. Turns out I found a replacement chamber on eBay for $186 that'll be here Tuesday. So for their pettiness, and juvenile "Quit answering the phones" they get 1 star. Hopefully I don't come across real issues with this coach. read more

Dishonest and poor customer service in the repair center. Tried to charge us $500+ to order a part to repair our fridge then never actually ordered it or called us. When we called to check on it, the technician was disrespectful. Luckily we took our trailer to a different repair center and found out there was no real issue with the fridge - just needed to be reconnected. Not trustworthy. read more

Less than 48 hours after driving off the lot with a 2020 trail runner that they had set up, we already as issues. They begrudgingly agreed to replace the TV and replaced it eventually with one that was not compatible. It took many go arounds and arguing with them for them to finally agree to replace it with the correct TV. Additionally a chip was missing from the navigation system that has never been recovered. There is reason this dealership h as very poor ratings. we have been dealing with the service department here for 6 months worth of warranty claims which of the 6 issues they have only actually repaired a tail light in that amount of time. We were told Keystone Rv declined our warranty claims so they could not repair the unit. upon a phone call to Keystone we were informed that they did indeed authorize all warranty claims. this dealership let us pick of our Rv with a safety brake issue that was not repaired. Their answer to failing to repair our brakes under warranty was met with us paying for a brake job which they miss diagnosed at our initial trip there. service writer as well as service manager have been zero help with a 100% do not give a shit attitude. As a small business owner here in Tucson I am extremely displeased with the lack of professionalism this service department operates. read more

This year, we purchased a new Thor Vegas from La Mesa RV. And, like with any RV, I had a few warranty issues to resolve after our first time out. So I setup an appointment with a gentlemen by the name of Mike Rios, and that call started of one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. Mike walked me through the process, kept me informed via text or phone, and had my RV back before it was due. When I arrived to pick it up, Mike had everything cleaned up, A/C was running, and walked me through every repair they made. If you EVER go to LaMesa for any type of service, call Mike. Attempted to get service on our 2007 Allegro Bus (in excellent shape)... the service desk did not ask what the problem was she simply stated "we do not work on RVs that are 10 years old". All that I wanted was a simple oil and lube job. I will never go to LA Mesa for any thing including when we upgrade (their adds are bate and switch). On our to Yuma we noticed a closed Le Mesa RV lot - with this kind of service it's no wonder. The girl behind the service switched board should be fired....The majority of the people in our RV Resort do not like La Mesa either. read more

We had a great experience with La Mesa RV in Tucson and an incredibly great experience with our saleperson, Jon Gold. We are full time RVers and have lived for 2 years in a Tiffin Allegro Red. We had been talking about upgrading to a bigger unit and on a whim walked into La Mesa last Saturday. We were honestly just tire kicking but Jon talked to us about what we wanted and low and behold, they had the exact unit on the lot: a Tiffin Phaeton 40IH. Jon spent basically the entire morning with us showing the unit and taking us on test drive (encouraging me to drive it). We definitely LOVED the unit. We decided to see what kind of deal we could get and gave Jon our numbers. He came back with pretty much what we expected (fair price, trade in our older unit, good financing and interest rate, payment in our ballpark) and by 4pm we were giving a deposit. I want to stress here that we felt absolutely zero pressure from Jon. By Wednesday the deal was done. La Mesa makes it super easy to move into the new unit. They park the units side by side with the doors facing each other, plug both units into 50Amp service and tell you to take your time. We spent the night on their lot moving our things over and by Thursday morning we were all moved in. There were some service things that had to be done (moving our braking system for the tow vehicle and a few other things). These were all done by 2pm on Friday. I would like to make a comment that we do think the service dept could do a little better job of communicating the status of the service. But, all service issues were handled to our complete satisfaction . Also, we had an orientation from TJ and he was really thorough and gave us a good understanding of all the features on our new unit. So...my overall walk away is that we had a great experience with Jon, got a fair deal, love our new unit, and have already recommended LaMesa to a family member. read more

I have had my coach for 4 years now. And unfortunately I have bad experience after bad experience. I understand that places get busy due to servicing other customers coaches. Every time I have dropped mine off for servicing it's always there minimum a month. I have always been understanding considering I don't know what the situation is over there. But this last time did it for me, almost 2 months it was there for an awning repair and wax. I would get called with updates rarely. Once I was told it was ready I head over and right off the bat there was miscommunication on the payment. I had a claim and I was to pay $1000 deductible ONLY and my insurance was to pay the rest. With out checking or even knowing if they received the check from my insurance they were ready to charge me the full amount which was over $2000! After that was settled I walk outside to find my coach completely filthy and unwaxed. I mention it to the manager and am told it will have to be another claim. I simply said fine, I'll bring it back another time because it had already been there 2mo.! As I got it home I realize that my coaches license plate is completely missing! I call La Mesa and explain that it's gone. And am told to take a picture and email it and that they would look for it. So, I will have to say I do not recommend this place for purchasing anything you want to enjoy the great outdoors in!! Save yourself the stress! read more

We took our fifth wheel in for check up before long trip north. They did not check slides as indicated on check point list. Large slide breaks on our trip and we were stuck for over a week out of state. That cost an extra 1000. We had paid them 1500+ for this service for the safety check and some electrical repairs. So my hard earned money basically was for nothing as they did not do the work. Let alone that they would do this to a good paying customer. Do not take your rv there!!!!!! They are dishonest, don't do the work hired for and overcharge. Shame on them. read more

Avoid at all cost! They are great at sales (bought new 2016) but that's where it ends! The service department is dishonest. They lied to me about services completed. They accidentally punched a hole in one of my storage compartment doors and refused to take responsibility and then they trashed the carpet (muddy/dirty shoes)- they "cleaned it" but the stains remain and they refuse to correct the issue. The service manager makes excuses for the staff and refuses to take any responsibility. The customer service manager is friendly but provided no value. I now drive an extra 190 miles to get my coach serviced at 3Ts RV Products in Lake Havasu AZ and it is worth it! Learn from my mistake and avoid La Mesa RV!! read more

I put a deposit down to purchase a "new" 2019 RoadTrek E-Trek. I live in Colorado. I said I was flying down to purchase it, but first I needed to inspect it and test drive it. A time was set up for my 'orientation'. When I arrived, the sales person picked me up from the airport and is very friendly--but he is not wearing a face mask. (The Coronavirus pandemic is still ongoing, and in fact #'s are increasing in Arizona.). When we arrive at the customer waiting area for the sales team, no one in the organization is wearing a mask and there is no social distancing. I see the RV. It is filthy inside and out and a cupboard door is off a hing and lying on the couch, the upholstery is dirty and there is also dried blood on one of the captain's chairs. The blinds are not in nice shape and the bathroom is filthy. We go on the test drive and arrive back with only an hour to spare before the orientation. (And the detailing, cleaning and sanitizing is supposed to occur all within that hours time!). When I told the sales person I was not going to purchase it, he got his sales manager to try and convince me to buy it--and actually tried to lay a guilt-trip on me about the time I took up for the sales person and that he was on commission (interesting that the sales person told me when I first spoke with hime on the phone, that he was to on commission.....) I resisted his pitch. Yes, I felt that the RV was bigger than I wanted---but more importantlyI did not feel that La Mesa RV had my best interests and health safety in mind. I left feeling their main goal is to move RV's and make large number of sales. If you go to this organization from out of state--be aware, that it does not appear they are following CDC guidelines in protecting the public from the spread of Coronavirus. I was not offered my $500 deposit back.....But better to lose $500 than to regret an over $100,000 purchase! read more
