    Taquitos de papa
    Grisel A.

We are not from Chicago, just visiting But seems they have a lot of medican food restaurants. So we looked on Yelp and found this one. And the photos looked amazing for food options What better day to order for delivery than a cold snowy day. We ordered the chicken/steak fajitas delicious Also ordered the taquitos de papa, these brought back childhood memories. So good And I was thinking of my childhood and ordered a torta with Al pastor and boy was I obsessed. Bummed I didn't get to try the tamales as they were sold out. But typical around holidays. This place is a must try if your in the area Only thing I didn't like was not getting my Mexican coke, they bagged it with the hot food and the bay broke and my coke went plop to the ground.

This place shocked me in more of the ways than one. I assumed this was a fast food in and out super quick "Mexican restaurant ", but I was right and wrong at the same time. You do walk in order with the kiosk, and wait for your food, like a fast food restaurant. But the food and the amount was by far more than I ever anticipated for a chain and fast food restaurant. The meat with my fajitas was tender and very flavorful. The fajitas were loaded with chicken, steak, bell peppers, and onions. There was enough food for myself and my wife to share, and we took home enough meat for one possibly two more fajitas. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

AMAZING! Everything was so so good I definitely recommend checking this place out. The chips were so fresh and delicious - I recommend getting a side of them! The salsa was slightly spicy but pretty good. I got the shrimp tacos which was SO GOOD! I also got a carne asada taco that was delicious. Overall the food was amazing. The service was very quick too so we barely had to wait to get our food which was great because we were starving. Restaurant was clean and even had hand sanitizer on every table which is always appreciated.

They had the buy 1 get 1 free deal going on via Uber eats for both the red n green. I ended up getting 7 for $18 because I can't do math right but regardless they were excellent.

I recently stumbled upon this place after seeing a reel about the new sweet corn icecream and decided to get takeout. I got the California burrito bowl with tofu and the sweet corn icecream. The burrito bowl was so delicious! Loved the balance of the flavors. I also asked for the peach habanero salsa on the side and omg, it was really spicy but in a good way. The peach and habanero work really well together. The icecream was too cute to eat. It literally looked like a real corn on the cob. The attention to detail on the icecream is impeccable. I love the fact that the icecream also comes with crushed cookie toppings, coconut flakes and chocolate syrup. Truly impressed with the food!

Very quick service and ordering was super quick on the self-service kiosks! Lunch and dinner comes with rice and beans. I ordered the nachos which tasted so amazing, with fresh guacamole and pico de gallo! You can choose to add a protein as well for an additional ~$2 and can choose between the regular nacho cheese or mozzarella. Personally, these nachos fit the craving I had and made me wanting more! Definitely coming back next time I have an itch for nachos or affordable tacos or burritos!

Been here a couple times and the food is good but nothing special. The restaurant is close to Wrigley Field, so it's a good place for a quick meal before or after a baseball game. The restaurant is a bit small but I didn't have a problem getting a table. Decorations are nice and there was Mexican music playing. However, they tried to charge for a cup of water even after I bought a meal.

This place is too convenient. It's right across the street from the Metro. I go see a show and then get tacos before I head home. The food and the service have been good and fast the multiple times I've been there.

La Mexicana Grill is the real deal! We live in the area and decided to walk over today to grab lunch to-go. When you walk in, there are a few tables lined up to dine it and then the kitchen. There is a piece of plexiglass up protecting the employees and the delicious food they're cooking up. Everyone is wearing masks too, of course, but I appreciated this additional safety precaution. The menu is hanging above where you order and is easy to read. There area lot of options including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and even burrito bowls that look very similar to Chipotle! I decided to go with something I know and love, a quesadilla. To spice it up from the ol' tortilla and cheese, I added steak and fajita vegetables. We grabbed some chips & salsa to take home with us too! The food was ready in about 5 minutes, and despite the cold and windy weather, everything was still hot (and packaged nicely) by the time we made it home. My quesadilla was so dang yummy! The steak was cooked and seasoned nicely and wasn't soggy like they can sometimes be when you get them to go. They provided sour cream, guacamole, and verde salsa along with it. Our chips and salsa came with a large portion of salsa that we ended up popping in our fridge and I'm sure we'll use it up this week. The chips weren't the best I've had, but I almost always have tortilla chips on handy, so it was no biggie. Can't wait to come back! La Mexicana has a good thing goin.

We stood at the door for about 20 minutes before someone finally told us the wait would be 1-2 hours. Keep in mind, the place is pretty small and already crowded, so there's barely any room to stand while you wait. After getting on the waitlist, we decided to go to a nearby spot for food--but not even 5 minutes later, we got called back saying our table was ready. When we returned, we were seated along the wall in a very tight space--so tight that if I stretched my arm out, I would've hit the person next to me. We noticed a large table nearby had been sitting for a while without food. When their food finally came out, it made us realize our wait would probably be even longer. After another 20 minutes passed and we still hadn't been able to order, we decided to leave. I'm not sure the space is fully ready for the rush right now--it feels overcrowded and service is slow. I'll give it another try once the hype dies down. I'm happy for their success, though--just be prepared to be patient when you go.

Starting with margaritas (because obviously ‍), queso and chips that were dangerously good, and the chicken empanadas that came out perfectly crispy with so much flavor. I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. So savory, flavorful, comforting, and packed with crispy carnitas on top with the eggs and pickled onions... literally unreal. And then the skirt steak tacos absolutely stole the show. The steak was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired so perfectly with all the toppings and sauces. Every single bite tasted fresh and homemade in the best way possible. And can we talk about the ambience for a second because WOW. The music, the energy, the vibe inside, everyone celebrating, the drinks flowing -- it felt like the perfect Cinco de Mayo dinner spot. Entrees were steak and shrimp for me, and Tampiquena for my friend. In both dishes, the steak was done to perfection. The sauce that came with my shrimp was spicy and deep--lots of flavor layers there. Both of us took home portions of our meals because there was a lot of food on the plates.
