First, I am a fan of La Michoacana ice cream shops, but this location was such a disappointment. My husband went in with my son to grab some ice cream and I stayed behind to cater to my newborn. Mind you, my husband came back with an ice cream cup. I had specifically asked for "Fresas con crema". He said that's what they gave him. I was not only upset but just disappointed in how such a signature item from the brand was not even correct. It was more of an insult to their brand than to me. My husband had told me that the workers didn't seem to even want to work. After reading the reviews it makes sense to me now. If the store staff isn't properly trained or they aren't prepared for work then they shouldn't have the privilege to be a part of such company. We usually look at the reviews before hand and we make our decision based on them and unfortunately it was my mistake. We come from another city to visit family here in Bakersfield and it was an unfortunate experience for me and especially as a mom on Mother's Day. I hope this store gets better staff. read more

Decided to pop in and have pistachio ice cream. This place is pretty tasty and has a lot of nostalgic flavors of ice cream that you will find in Mexico. The place is usually busy. However, the staff is very good at keeping things organized and the line in order to get you, your treats as quickly as possible. The location is huge and clean, even the bathroom was clean and that's saying a lot! Kudos to the staff for doing a great job and making sure their establishment is not run down. The pistachio ice cream is so delicious here. It is creamy, but also very nutty because they are not stingy with the nuts. They also make the ice cream with real pistachio nuts versus other places that use almonds, I am sure to accommodate people with allergies... This place is fun. The colors, the murals, the mangonadas! I felt like a kid, so excited to be sitting in a booth that is upholstered in bright watermelon colors. Of course the whole family loved it. There is something delicious for everyone. And seriously, the best mangonada I have ever had. The most wonderful balance of sweet and spicy with fresh mango on top. My family and kids love this place and never had an issue until today. We ordered some tostisopa with the buldak ramen and while usually when we order other things the ramen is cooking. The girl tells us to sit and she'll let us know when our order is ready. This is fairly new and strange to us because they never say this to us. They aren't even busy they had no costumers. So we sit and wait 5 minutes pass and we ask her why is it taking long she said it's 6 minutes to cook the ramen. we aren't strangers to cooking buldak ramen. I know at max is 3 minutes so whatever I am not gonna argue with the girl. Once she starts making it she put Cheetos when I asked her why are putting Cheetos we always get Tostitos chips she starts educating us on how they make it. So I did let her no this isn't my first time ordering it and I've never been given ramen with Cheetos. I can tell she has an attitude. Hands me my order and walks away. I get home and the noodles are so overcooked and mushy it's disgusting. I don't know if she's the owner or not she had her hair up in a bun shorter gal tan skin with a green long sleeve shirt. I love this place but her attitude and communication needs improvement. The food is never the issue. Its the service. We understood that there were people there behind us but me and my family were trying to order in english and the lady there continued to speak to us in spanish and very rudely at that. I never have an issue since I understand it somewhat but the way she went about it made me feel like not coming back at all. We all heard her speak english aswell yet she still chose to speak spanish. Although the food is good her service made me want to walk out right then and there even after ordering. This place is seriously picture perfect! The colors make the place look like your in a music video for Taylor Swift! It's very colorful and clean! Also, the people that work there are kind and provide fast service . Now to the good part, my go to has always been mangonadas and I truly enjoyed every bite. This concoction Is made with soft served mango ice cream with chamoy and chili candy bites it is sweet and spicy so if that's your thing you must try it! The menu has many things I would also love to try like the Tostilocos and esquite. This spot has definitely become one of my favorite summer spots to go to! They also stated that they'd personally mention it to their management about working on improving on the quality of customer service they provide. Since then, I've dined in and happily placed orders without any issues. I left feeling content with both the delicious desserts and kind customer service.
