The menu is a little overwhelming at first for an indecisive person like me, but I like that it's huge and easy to read. It was 102° outside, so I ordered the guava watermelon agua fresca. It was refreshing and the perfect blend of flavors. Flavors all sort of taste the same. Milk shakes are soupy. There is no where to wash your hands after eating pretty messy items. They accidentally spilled the runny milkshake over my hands while passing me the items through the window but have nothing to offer to help you with cleaning afterwards. No towelettes. Their Instagram is very active and frequently posting new reasons to keep coming back. On this visit, I wanted to try their new hot chocolate with a toasted marshmallow rim, and it did not disappoint. It was a very rich and semi-sweet hot chocolate with a hint of cinnamon, just like my momma makes it. My sister had the Dubai-style hot chocolate, which had a pistachio topping; she had no complaints. We also decided to try the Dubai style chocolate covered strawberries; the strawberries were a bit tart, but the toppings were all delicious. Just a heads up, they are an outdoor-only seating establishment, so come prepared. They do, however, have good lighting and patio heaters to help. Wow! What a delight to have found this spot. We got the banana pudding funnel cake and a churro. The banana pudding funnel cake was delicious in every bite. The size is pefect to be shared with someone, my wife and I shared. Ice cream is an extra cost to add to the funnel cake. The churro was small in my opinion for $3, so it's not something I'll purchase from here again, plus I forgot to ask if it was made fresh, which I usually do for churros. I won't dock a star, because it was something I learned for next time, and the banana pudding funnel cake was amazing! There was one person taking orders, although they have a way to place your order on a kiosk just outside the ordering window. Although, while eating our food, we noticed the kiosk became the only way to place an order as it got busy. There is room to sit and enjoy your food on picnic tables. I usually order the Dubai Cupboard Chocolate Strawberries from Sweet Bites and Ice, but lately, the quality has really gone downhill. Every time I go, the strawberries are barely covered in chocolate or the Dubai sauce -- it looks and tastes like they rushed it. On top of that, the strawberries themselves often taste a little off, like they're old or starting to spoil, and the texture is way too soft. What makes it worse is that if you ask for just a little extra chocolate or sauce on the side, they charge you $6 for a tiny container. For that price, I'd expect fresh strawberries and a generous coating, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. Been coming to this location for years never had a problem until today. I ordered a banana split and while waiting for my sister order I open my ice cream to take a bite after the first bite I noticed a hair in the strawberry ice cream. I took it back to the counter and tried to discreetly tell them there was a hair in my ice cream. First thing the lady at the counter said is we wear hair nets. She took the ice cream talked to the guy behind the window then opened it again to say they would remake it. I should have taken the refund instead of the remake because I got no apology and the lady made it seem like the hair was mine when it was behind the cherry and in melting ice cream. I went yesterday because someone recommended this spot to me to try it out . Very disappointed i ordered beignets with powder sugar and an order or regular churros keep in mind no one was there it was empty. I waited for my order about 15-20min which i didn't mind. On the drive home I opened my order the regular churros and the beignets the outside seem cooked but the inside was raw dough on all of them. I drove an hour away for this never coming back . I can only imagine how many people have ate raw dough and not notice. Milkshakes were thick and creamy. Perfect consistency and sweetness! The Fresca wasn't milk based but still creamy, light, tasty and very refreshing. And there's so much more I'd like to try! This place will serve up your daily dose of sweet deliciousness like no other! :) Wait times will vary depending on how crowded they are and the fact that everything is made freshly upon ordering. I finally decided to treat my kids even allowing them to pick whatever they wanted without complaining about price or sugar intake. The parking lot is sus! First of all this place is tucked away in the old Hushpuppies parking lot and it looks like it hasn't been repaved since the restaurant was opened! After perusing their extensive menu we all decided to try out the Oreo shake, the classic beignets, and the strawberry dream funnel cake. We all enjoyed every last dessert but my favorite was the beignets! They were dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon and had finely chopped walnuts and the most delicious whipped cream I've ever had on top. They package everything really well and are usually on it. However, one time I was sent everything but the ice cream. This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at a dessert shop. When we walked in, we were never greeted. No employee acknowledged us, spoke to us, or checked in at any point. We had ordered online, yet no employee made any contact with us at all until we finally asked about the status of our order after waiting over 30 minutes. During that wait, we watched 5-6 customers who ordered after us receive their food first. Employees were busy restocking and doing other tasks instead of working on orders, while we stood there ignored with no updates or explanation. When we finally asked about our order, the response was snarky and rude. Our food was placed on the counter with a blunt "here", and our order number was never called, unlike other customers. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. The lack of acknowledgment, the poor attitude, and the way we were treated made us feel ignored, disrespected, and honestly discriminated against. This was a horrible experience, and we will not be returning. I will absolutely be telling others about how poorly we were treated. Save your time and take your business elsewhere. read more
