Not a fan. I got 2 things.. esquite and bionico, I really wish I had taken a photo of the bionico because it wasn't my favorite. The consistency of the crema used was so thin like water and they put so much with an okay amount of fruit. They only had 3 available fruits, which I thought was weird. The esquite was not good at all. They put so much mayo, that I could only taste mayonnaise. I couldn't handle all the mayo so I had to throw away the esquite. Pieces of fruit were too small and tasted too much like water. The elote was in a solid cup so you couldn't see the layers which there were none bc she only put on the very top and it was all water on the bottom. Asked for their Dubai strawberries and one of the employees assumed I didn't understand English and tells her coworker to say they are out. Either they are lazy to make orders or what? because I stayed to enjoy my ice cream and to my surprise they made them for other costumers. So unpleasant and rude. One of my favorite desert spots in the area! The people are nice, the serving sizes are good, the price aren't crazy, and it's always very clean inside. I like the elotes con hot Cheetos, nachos, and drink. They are really fast too so you'll be in and out. Not the best parking lot but that's not really their fault. read more

Came to this La Michoacana approximately 30 minutes before closing on a Monday night. It was nice and clean. The young lady helping me out had a great attitude. The options here are endless. Walked in on a Sunday and it smelled like fabuloso! You Know they just cleaned! Lol everything was cleaned and organized. Was really craving an esquite. It was $7.50! My gosh how these prices have grown. It was in a a S/M cup. In was super surprised when I got to the register. She already made it so I bought it. This born in the Coachella Valley white boy was happy to find this place. It hits close to home and the selection of fruit bars is extensive. About 20 water based fruit bars and about 20 milk based bars make this a must stop during the hot summer months. I had a water based passion fruit today (bomb) and my house mate had a mixed strawberry/kiwi/mango bar. (bomb de da bomb bomb) I'll be back for 4th of July to pick up a couple dozen bars to bring as desert for the 4th of July. Fresh and good with non healthy choices as well as healthy ones. read more

I asked if their churro was fresh they said yes and than served me cold churro that was raw in the I asked to replace it with something else and they said we don't do that. I came in with my sons and we ordered cones. The one cone was made very large, larger than the second one to the point that I asked for a cup so that I can scrap some of the ice cream into it. While I was asking, my son dropped the cone while we were still checking out. The woman helping us told me I had to purchase another cone because she had already handed me the ice cream and it "wasn't her fault". I wasn't blaming her and didn't even mention how large she made the cone because at that point I could see she was not interested in helping. I don't think I have experienced a situation like that before where an employee does not care about an accident, especially one made by a little boy. I come here a lot and do not think I will return. read more

My favorite Mexican street-food snacks in one place! Service was fast and friendly.. not busy on a Saturday afternoon either. Wow wow wow! I'm so glad I stopped by this dessert shop :) My friend and I had been in Pomona for tacos for dinner but wanted a sweet treat after so we looked up what was near by and La Michoacana popped up! Upon entering, it was a little weird because it was SO BIG and there was so much empty space but it gave up plenty of tables to choose from. The ice cream and popsicle options run along the wall. There are sooo many options. Make sure to walk along the freezer window to check out all the different flavor options. I sampled the coconut and mamey ice cream and REALLY wanted a split scoop of both flavors but the girl said I would have to buy two scoops to get two flavors :( I ended up ordering the Mamey Popsicle and it was very tasty. Their popsicles are very creamy and not icy like the store bought ones. It's like ice cream in popsicle form. My friend ordered the Oreo Popsicle and really liked it too. The best part is that they are pretty affordable. Only $2.50 for one! They also sell Chamangoes, chocolate covered bananas, agua frescas, elote, crepes, tostilocos, etc! I'll definitely be back. I found this place on a whim! I came down to the Wal-Mart Supermarket on Towne, and overheard customers talking about it, so I decided to give it a try. They had cases and cases and cases of ice creams and paletas. Mango, oreo, chichle, ferrer rocher, lime, pina colada, tequila, mango chamoy!!! All different types made in-house. Found this place next to one of my favorite pho spots! I love Mexican ice cream so i was super excited when i found this place nearby. Outside wasn't too clean but the inside was pretty clean and well maintained. They also had SO MANY different flavors to choose from! There were ice cream popsicles as well as the ice cream in tubs and bunch of other things on the menu. I got the pistachio popsicle and it was amazing. The only thing was that there was only one person working at the time and we kind of waited awhile until someone could help us. But other than that, It was great! read more

The haagen dahs of the Mexican world with multiple offerings, including hot items. Elote in a cup?! You can't beat that! Mangoneadas, paletas or helados. So yummy. And those mangoneadas last all afternoon, a mix of sweet, sour and spicy. My mouth is watering now thinking about it. Definitely worth a try. There is so much to say about this amazing place! All I need to say is you MUST try this ice cream shop. Everything is homemade and there are so many choices! They make aguas frescas (fruit waters and other Mexican inspired drinks), they have ice cream bars, unique ice cream flavors, sundaes, banana splits, and so much more. I had the mango ice cream bar with the chili and tamarindo candy straw. It was filled with delicious childhood memories of eating Mexican candies! I also ordered the pepinos locos (crazy cucumbers). Crazy is an understatement but wow my mouth watered with every bite of chili flavored cucumbers and mangos! If you want to explore a different culture of sweet treats I highly recommend this place. They are adorable and quite filling after eating one jelly jar pie. I ordered a variety to share with my family and our favorites were the Salted Caramel Banana Cream and Cookie Butter. The crust was honestly my favorite part. Even though the pies are delicious, it seemed a bit pricey to me. One jelly jar pie ranges from $8-$10. They get a ton of points for their cuteness factor. After accumulating 95 points on the Clover app, you can redeem for a free pie. Parking was easy and free. There's plenty of parking in The Claremont Packing House structure.

It also came with (fresh?) strawberries and pineapple. The only downside is due to the heat of the soda, when I got the bowl, a nice portion of it was melted. You could taste the Sunkist in the yogurt but the pineapple did overpower things. Service was good. There was only one woman working but she made sure to give attention to everyone and worked hard. The price wasn't bad as it was only $15 or so for both items. I just wish the yogurt didn't melt as fast and they had room to sit inside. The place did seem pretty cluttered and compact. Overall, I'd probably go back to try out another flavor and mix.

When I saw that there was an unknown extra 83 cents charge on my order and asked about it, the two workers side eyed each other in front of me while looking annoyed. It made me feel awful, so I just ended up paying extra for the drinks. Once I got my drinks, I was met with a stare when I said thank you. After leaving the cafe, I realized that my drinks were made with more than half with ice (photo attached below). For the amount of drink I received, the extra charge on my drinks, and the attitude of the workers, I am extremely disappointed with my experience here at The Spot Cafe. I hope this place improved in the future

Ambiance: 6/10 Nothin special. I came in at closing time. The shop was clean, well lit, and easy to access. Parking is probably hard to find during the day or on the weekends. TDLR: They don't do samples. Strawberry balsamic is good. Slight peppery hints. Don't be scared by the name. Can't really taste the balsamic.
