This is by far the best one. I have visited 2 others. The one Pulaski and the one on Kedzie. All of them have good service, but this one is more "welcoming." I actually sat down to enjoy my Mangoneada. When I've stopped at the other two locations, I just get it to go. This location is nice and colorful. Very inviting! The ladies were very nice and had no problem letting me sample 3 of their ice creams. I even got a sip of one of the flavored waters (strawberry), which was very good by the way. The guy who said it's the worst ice cream place ever is correct. This is one of those places that you just *have* to go, but your scale may not support your decision. 31 flavors? Forget about it. When I finally dragged a friend in this place she was so mad. She loved the yogurt a little too much and was scared of the calories that might be involved lol. So don't go often, but certainly go! The food here is good but the customer service is horrible! I didn't get greet when I walked in. I said hi to the girl who was serving me she completely ignored me. When she ringed me up she kept staring at me, once she ringed me up I said thank you and the girl just walked away without saying anything. I worked in customer service and retail do I know there could be customer who are just plan rude. Always the place to go especially because of how close I live. The desserts are super authentic and tasty. I was pleasantly surprised with how good their strawberry shortcake ice cream was. I usually go for the mangoneada, elote, horchata, butter pecan paleta, or the frutas drink. The lines are out the doors sometimes especially late at night on weekends with only 3 staff. The line moves slow but the staff still keeps great composure. I've been to multiple locations and the staff at all of them were consistently friendly even to those like me who can't speak great Spanish. Fresh and packed with that chili and lime flavor that really keeps you coming back for authentic Latin eats. Elotes? Get yourself a spaceship because these things are out of this world. I've never had them better than when I've had them here. Actually, basically everything I've had here is better than I've had it anywhere else. I been to a few Michoacana's in Chicago, and while they're mostly pretty solid, none even come close to this place. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes I was attended by a younger dark, tall skinny woman who refused to serve me rice flavored ice cream bc it was too hard .. I've been coming here since it opened and never been refused anything here.. I than ordered a yogurt de Nuez but she never asked me what size she just took it upon herself to give me a small... I complained to the cashier about this and she apologized and asked if I really did want that flavor ice cream she would have no problem serving it.. at that point I was pissed so I told her no thanks .. at least she tried to make things better.. michoacana needs to stop hiring these lazy ass people... zero stars for the laziness today after waiting in line so long .. read more

This is the best candyland anyone could be in. From hot chetoos with nacho cheese to elote with flamin hot Cheetos on top to everything you can possibly think of! The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that I went in with a couple of non-Spanish speaking friends of mine and I had to translate for them. Wow unreal their credit card machine wasn't working and I stood in line for almost 10 minutes to be told when I got to buy ice cream there credit card machine is down. I told the lady it would've been nice if she would've posted that at the door so I wasn't waiting for 10 minutes. She apologized I said just a sign would be nice. As I was walking out the door . This is hands down my favorite ice cream spot in the area.They have a great selection of 100% natural ice cream.The paletas are absolutely delicious as well as the aguas frescas.I recommend trying something different everytime you come in because theres just so much to choose from and you just cant go wrong no matter what you try!!!!
