Came in here to return 2 items , I had receipts for both . Originally wasn't able to return them because the girl doesn't know how to do her job and she's a "manager " apparently. Anywho she asked the other "manager" a question on my receipt? Came back and asked for my name and phone number ? Never had that happened . Then asked why they needed my name and number if they have the receipts , said it was policy , okay fine . Then proceeded to keep both my original receipts , asked for 1 back because I had other purchased items on it , tried to tell me no because "they need it " not sure why I wasn't able to take back my own receipts to begin with . I walk in today at around 3:15 to purchase some shoes. I waiting about 10 minutes to get some help when the store was empty. There was two person standing by the cashier. One was actually helping a customer the other lady was just there. After she came over I ask for two pairs of shoes her attitude and customer was very unprofessional. As soon as she brought the two pairs she took the two boxes and went and stood by the cashier. She didn't ask if they fit or if I needed to check other shoes out. Her name was Monica at least that's what she told me. Hope the manager or owner can give her more advice once it comes to customer service. read more

This Shoe Palace is low key neat and organized but the HVAC doesn't seem to work. It is unpleasant to browse through the different products when the temperature is uncomfortable. Lastly, I once in a while sign up for raffles for shoes I like and collect. One time, my name was selected for a recent Jordan 4 release but I wasn't able to pick up the call as I was at work. Called them back in less than 3 minutes from the time I missed the call and the sales person said "sorry, we've moved on to the next person". This policy needs to change as it is unfair for a 9-5 working loyal customer who doesn't have all day to stare at my phone waiting for call or none at all. read more

Selling way above competitor prices and shady sales tactics/return policies. My first experience here was a good one, I was quickly helped and they have a good selection of shoes. For that reason I am giving this place 2 stars instead of 1. I bought a pair of shoes here for $110 and they ended up being a little small so I checked online for the same pair and came across them at only $60 at 2 other stores. I did not buy them online yet, because I liked the shoe palace and wanted to support the growing DTSA area, so I went in the next day and told him I wanted to return them, unless they could bring the price down. Why pay $50 more for the same shoe?? At least I gave them the option to compete. The second I requested a return or for the price to come down, he got defensive and refused to return or exchange them. He claimed they were "dirty." I had these shoes for a day and wore them for a few hours indoors. The only outside wear was walking through a couple parking lots. They would have been too uncomfortable for me to even wear for longer than that. The amount of wear reflected the few hours spent in them. I have no doubt that this was done in retaliation for confronting him about the price difference. If shoes that new are not returnable, then they're "return policy" is a sham. Clearly this store does not care about customer service. Not only are they selling their shoes for almost double their price than other stores, but they also put a quick buck over having a loyal customer. I will be taking my business elsewhere next time. read more

Just as I walk in, I'm greeted by Esther and asked if I needed help with anything. I mentioned I was looking for a specific pair of shoes for a gift but unfortunately they didn't have them. At first I was a bit disappointed, but Esther actually pointed me in another direction with some different shoes. She was very helpful and informative. I just so happend to come across this store because i was out helping my lil sister find a quince dress a couple stores down. I figured i would just go in real quick to see what they have, as i walked in there was only one girl out on the floor. I said hello as i was walking in no response back from the employee, which is named Esther. So i just made my way to the womens shoes, not once did she ask me if i needed anything she just ignored me the whole time i was in there. Finally another emolyee walks out and greets me thats when she, all of a sudden, notices me and asks if i needed anything. I asked for a shoe size and she goes to the back to get it. What seemed like 15 mins later she finally brings me the shoe to try on. While im trying on the shoe i over hear her tell the employee "its a mess back there huh thats why i took long". As im still trying on the shoe i realize she brang out the wrong size so i ask for the correct size, she grabs it out of my hand and tells the other employee to get the correct size. The employee goes back and gets the correct one i quickly tried it on and gave it back because at this point i didnt want the shoe but i didnt want it to look like i made the other employee look for nothing. You would think if she is the manager of the store her customer service would be alot better than what i received. She never bothered to ask if the shoe was ok, if it fit right or even if i wanted to see anything else. Thanks for no thanks for me ill take my money else where. read more

A friend told me to check this location out because they have tend to have more in stock. When I walked in the employee on the floor, his mame is Edgar, immediately stoped what he was doing to greet me and asked if i needed any help with anything. I had told him i was just looking a couple mins later he came to check if i needed any sizes. I had asked him for a size in one of the kids shoes and when he came back out he brought me the size i needed and a size up and told me i should go with the size up because the shoe ran small. I really appreciated that because its one less trip i would have to make back if the other size didnt fit. He had also recommend a similar style to the one i originally asked for because he was asking me who i was shopping for and getting to know why i was in there really taking his time to help me as best he could. I ended up getting both pairs because his customer service was great. Will definitely be stopping by again in hopes he is working again to assit me. read more

I completely change my mind made me wait a week and 4 days for shoes they didn't even have. They just got my hopes up like straight up that's bs. How would you feel if you payed for shoes then they call you when they are supposed to get them and they tell you they don't have them that you can exchange them or get a refund like wtf.
