The pupusas are so delicious, as is the curtido and salsa rojo that comes alongside. The pupusas are crispy, cheesy, flavorful and full of beans and meat. I haven't tried anything else on the menu yet but I'll be back time and time again for the pupusas for sure. This restaurant re-heats food, and is unsanitary. There was a huge roach pictured on the far right corner of the eating area. I informed the waitress, and her response was "oh" and she shrugged her shoulders. The owner himself refused to sit my large party in the larger table area because he said "that area is reserved for bigger parties and it's Sunday, so no ". One of my kids needed a drink remade due to an accident, and he attempted to charge us for the remake and said "whose problem and fault is that?". My husband ordered a $27 plate of steak that was served re-heated. Customers deserve to be treated cordially and get what they paid for. One single pupusa is now $5.50, way overpriced. I would rather drive farther to get quality service and quality food. We will not be returning to this cash cow of an establishment. read more

My friend and I love trying pupusas from different places. She bought La Molienda to my attention and we beelined to this great place. First let me talk about the service, even before I stepped inside. I arrived 1st for our lunch date. La Molienda is on Goldnerod Rd, there is a nicely sized sign with the name of the restaurant but the building number is a little hard to see from the street. There is parking on all sides, I parked in the front for a few, then made my way to the back, walked to the front in order for my friend to see where I was. The manager noticed me, came outside and offered me a business card that he thought would help in giving the precise location to who I was waiting for. SERVICE!! It is a nice place, lots of tables and a full size bar. We were greeted immediately and given the choice of seating. Immediately our server came over, we ordered all the pupusa offerings, queso, chicharron con queso, revuelta, Loroco( which is a vine with edible flowers very popular in El Salvador and Guatemala, but really accessible in all Central America. We also got an order of fried yucca to munch on and tacos. Drinks, sangria, water and a coke. Here's the horrible thing I did as a Yelper, we were so engrossed in enjoying our meals and talking, I did not take pics!!!! Unreal!! The food is good, the pupusas are nice sized, the curtido is not as pickled as other places I've tried but it was good, kind of like cole slaw. The sauces were nice, a bit of a kick for the pupusas, and a bit to vinegary the one for the fried yucca. The lorocco pupusa is is great tasting vegetarian option. Fours stars and not five because I felt that a bit more salt/flavor was needed. And the tacos were supposed to include guacamole and it never arrived. Overall, it was a good experience. read more

I've stopped in here several times. Its been around for a long time now and appears rather popular, but I don't know why. It specailizes in Salvadorian food and maybe the problem is with me because I am no expert on what Salvadorian food is suppose to be or suppose to taste like. However, everything I have had here has tasted rather bland, lacking in flavor or any added touches making it unique or interesting. The chicken dishes have always been dry, kind of overdone and tough as a result, which holds pretty much true to all of the other foods I have tried here. I came here once for dinner and it was a different set of servers, and I have to say, they were much slower and inattentive. We had a group of about 10 people and when we told them that we wanted to pay in separate groups, they said they couldn't do that since we were seated together. So we put 2 inch gaps between our tables and suddenly it was okay to get separate checks. Weird policy. Their soup specials are really simple yet filling. If you're feeling adventurous, then I recommend the seafood soup for their super creamy and rich broth. But it's a bit pricey so you can't go wrong with their beef or chicken soups. Three stars cause although the beans were super runny, they tasted awesome. Moved to Hollywood from Miami and stumbled on this place, decided to try it. If I can't get the real good stuff, this place is a sad consolation price. The beans taste awesome but too runny, I had the pupusas which were good but the little red sauce taste too much of spices. The chicken in the fried tacos is kind of chunky and toasted not soft, and the tamalito de elote is well proportioned, tasted awesome but it's a little dry. all in all, definitely not the best. Food came out super quick. Lots of meat, onions and peppers, but it wasn't sizzling, I think the non-iron skillet was just for show. The meat was super bland, had to put salt n pepper to add some flavor to it. So were the red beans, they looked and tasted like canned beans. Only got 3 tortillas, which is never enough for a skillet full of meat n veggies. If you want more you can ask and get 1 free, or you can pay for an order of 3. Cheap tactic. Mid-meal I decided I shouldn't have given this place a shot and should've gone instead to the best Salvadoran in town even if it's farther. Won't be coming back. Service was very good. read more

5 stars because they have great "Pupusas's", a typical Salvadorian specialty hard to come across. When in the area this is the place for my go to lunch usually at 3 PM while starving after waiting too long to eat before heading back to Miami. The service is good and the place is clean and pleasant. Now I order extra to go. They heat well in the oven the next day for breakfast.
