Sooo good! It took me back to my island of PR. The chicharrón was cooked to perfection. The pollo en salsa delicious. We also has a passion fruit juice and empanadas de pizza! Yes, we love our food!! We highly recommend this place. Friendly warm service also.

We love getting takeout from here all the time for their lunch special and sometimes mofongo. (We always call on the phone to place the order so that it's ready for pick up when we get there). Everything is delicious and the family is very nice. They are closed on Mondays. One of of favorite places to get food that's in our area!

I have to ask, where is the so-called manager who claims to be in charge of the restaurant? Doesn't he see how bad the food has become? In the past, after getting off work, I would often stop here because I have to go to Mount Dora and don't have much time to eat. I always enjoyed coming here. Now, I can barely enjoy my favorite chicharrones. Sometimes they are completely burned, and other times they are not crispy at all. The roasted chicken is also burned on some occasions, while other times it looks yellow and poorly prepared. The mofongo? At 4:00 in the afternoon, I'm told they can no longer make it. Then why even have it on the menu? And don't even get me started on the fish--it has very little flavor and is often burned as well. What is going on in the kitchen? "What is going on in the kitchen? The quality and consistency of the food have changed dramatical The only good thing that remains is the way the women treat the customers. Their kindness and good service are honestly the only decent thing left about this place. That is why I still leave a tip--to show my appreciation for the attention and courtesy they give me. To the owners of Lechonera Latina: if you don't start hiring qualified cooks like the ones you had two years ago, you are going to lose customers to the other restaurants in the area. It is a shame to see a place that was once so good go downhill like this.

The cafeteria set up allowed us to see what we were ordering as we walked along and said or pointed at what we wanted. I tried using some of my limited Spanish vocabulary to order our food. We had three plates of food with Fried Rice style rice, Mofongo, Beef, Tostones and Fried Sweet Plantains. For dessert we ordered a White Chocoflan (I don't know if that is the current name) and to drink Passion Fruit Juices. The food was okay. Didn't taste bad but was just okay. The food trays were generously portioned and worth the price - approximately $14. The Passion Fruit Juice was delicious. As one of my favorite juices, I had high expectations. It did not disappoint. I love Chocoflan and only have eaten homemade Chocoflans. This White Chocoflan was delicious. It was not too sweet. Both sides complimented each other well and had a good balance of flavor and texture. We were able to order and pay for our food and drinks in a reasonable time. There is ample parking and indoor seating available for dining in.

My friend took me out to eat at this restaurant for lunch. I asked her if it had good reviews and…read moreshe said that she didn't know. She said she only checked what was on the menu. Upon entering this restaurant I knew that the food was going to be great, because it smelled so good! This restaurant is severed cafeteria style, where you go down the line with different dishes of prepared food on display before you, behind protective glass. A team member on the other side with the food, assists you be gathering together what you point to, as you go down the line. Then they put the food that you pick out into a "to go" container. At the end of the line, you pay for your food at the cash register. Just to make a sure you are aware, a tip is automatically added onto your check when you get to the register. This caught my friend by surprise, because she wasn't aware the tip was included in the receipt until it was too late, and she already paid. You are asked if you want a beverage with your order at the register. You can request a cup of tap water with a lid at this point, but if you don't specify that you want tap water, they may automatically charge you for a bottle of water. They give you plastic silverware with napkins with your meal container. After you pay for your food, you either seat your self at one of their available booths, or you take food with you to go. I got the chicken with white cheese, along with the beans and rice, and I also got some fried plantains. My friend got two dishes with pork and another dish that I can't remember what she called it. My food was so delicious! My friend loved her food as well! The atmosphere here is loud fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the music that they were playing. They also have several large TV's hung from the ceiling. that are playing shows, but I didn't see any closed captioning. The restrooms appear to be just one stall for men, and one stall for woman, and they were kept clean. After I sat down I did see a couple of house flys hanging around our booth. I did see on the wall a sign that said they deliver, but it also said that the minimum order cost for delivery was $300. I'm not sure if this restaurant also partners with meal delivery services. The restaurant is definitely a great place to go and have lots of delicious food! It is also a great place to escape the Florida heat for a little while, as it is kept nice and cool and comfortable inside.

This is an upscale Latin American fusion vibe. The portions are very middle of the road - not a lot of food for the price, but the presentation and attention to detail makes up for that. The bread for the table was a sweet coconut bread - I really liked this unique touch! We tried the Arugula Salad, Calabaza Raviolis, Langosta, and Tres Leches. Everything was delicious! The Arugula Salad was very fresh and flavorful and that dish was enough for two people to share as an appetizer/side salad. The raviolis and langosta were beautiful and complemented each other very well. The Tres Leches was again very beautifully presented and tasty, but I probably wouldn't order it again (a little too dry and too sweet for me). Overall this was a really nice special occasion or date night experience. Our server was very attentive and seemed passionate about the concept of the restaurant and the menu, which made the experience even more fun!

The giant NOW OPEN banner was flapping like it personally invited me, and the storefront painted in bold Trinidad flag colors looked ready to hand out citizenship papers with every order. I walked in thinking I'd grab a quick bite. Rookie mistake, one look at the doubles and suddenly I'm ordering five. Then I'm calling my aunt and cousin like it's a family emergency: "Allyuh want doubles? Because these looking SERIOUS." Next thing you know, I'm walking out with ten doubles like I'm catering a small festival. And let me tell you, these doubles? Soft bara, perfectly seasoned channa, pepper and tamarind sauce hugging everything like a warm Caribbean auntie. I've basically been on a doubles‑only diet since, and honestly, I feel spiritually aligned. I even ate one cold from the fridge and it still slapped. That's when you know it's real. Then there's the boneless curry chicken with buss‑up‑shut. Pure comfort. The kind of meal that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. The potatoes were soft enough to spread on a cracker, the channa was rich and earthy, and the chicken tasted like somebody's grandmother was in the back whispering, "Put a lil' more seasoning, nah." The buss‑up‑shut was fluffy, torn, and ready to scoop up every drop of curry like it had a mission. And the pepper sauce? Flavorful. Respectful. Not trying to fight me or send me to the ER. A rare and beautiful thing. The place is clean, the parking is plentiful, and the staff has real Trini accents that instantly make everything feel more authentic. Even the way they say "Next!" has rhythm. Next time, I'm calling ahead for dhal phourie, because clearly this place does not miss and I'm not risking it selling out. If you see me there again, mind your business! I'm probably ordering another ten doubles and living my best life.
