Signature massage was great! More than 5 stars. I will definitely come back for that again. I felt every single muscle on my back next day :) and I wanted to keep my back straight, because I didn't feel any tension there anymore. And this is good considering that I used to hunch a lot before. Signature facial was 2 out of 5 stars. It was not bad, but it wasn't what I expected. It was more like "applying different things, light head massage while waiting for the mask to work, deemed light, relaxing music, etc". But I was more interested in the result, rather that process. I expected to get "cleaning, extraction, mask to calm down the skin after the extraction". But I almost didn't get any extraction at all. The lady removed only 2-3 dots and she was apologizing for that every time. I came there for that, why apologizing? :) then I specifically asked her to remove as many of those as she can and she said "Yes, sure". She applied smth on my face right after that, so I was pretty sure that it was something that will help her with the extraction. But then she applied mask and that's when I realized that the extraction part was over. So, not a single one was removed after I specifically asked for that!! Maybe she didn't understand me.. who knows. My point is that I could buy a pretty good cosmetic for 60+$ and apply it at home more than once. But when I do the extraction myself, that's where things goes wrong, thats what I would like to get done professionally... However, some people may like it and come for facial to just have a quiet hour :) read more

Went here for a signature Thai massage with deep tissue work. It is very traditional in that the therapist will walk on your back and stretch your back while standing on it. If you don't like this type there are other options such as Swedish or deep tissue massage. Patty was great and I hope to return soon. read more

I have been two this Spa a number of times and have found the therapists very knowledgeable and professional. I am on my feet constantly and do lots of physical work that takes a toll on my body. This place is simply amazing! So much so, that I was hesitant to even write this review for fear of others finding out and leaving me with no availability to schedule! For starters, the massage - A-MA-ZING. For one hour, your knots will be rid, your back will be straightened, and your muscles and limbs will be stretched around like nobody's business. However, this massage may not be for everyone as their touch is firm and they walk on your back. I for one love this, but if you are a weakling and looking for a style equivalent to that of a feather touching your back, then this is not the place for you. Aside from the massage, the service is fabulous and the spa is very clean and serene inside. Suffice it to say, this is the only place I will continue to go to for a massage. Went for a hydra facial yesterday. The place is very clean and the staff is pleasant. My skin feels and looks better and smoother just after 1 session. The esthetician used some blue LED light to help with acne, she did some manual extractions as well but there are no marks or redness left on my face from the extractions. There was some mild redness and small bumps that went away in a few hours. I don't recall the esthetician's name, she was nice, would like to see her again. Only downside is you don't get a robe to change into so dress accordingly. Also the facial lasted roughly 35 mins, as this was my first hydra facial I am not sure if that is how it is supposed to be. read more

I got the WORST Brazillian wax of my life here! Not even worth the $25! I went in a few weeks ago to get a Brazilian. Due to traffic I was about 10 minutes late - but I called ahead and told them I was running late by 10-15 minutes, and they said it would be no problem. When I got there, the parking lot was full, which was a pain. When she sent me into the room, she made a snide remark about me being late. She asked if I was getting a bikini wax or a Brazilian, and I specified Brazilian, which I had also said when I booked the appointment, and when I called to tell them I was running late. She then made a remark about her next client being here already. She was either early, or they booked appointments too close together, because it had only been about 15 minutes since my original appointment had started. The wax itself was terrible. I'm still feeling the effects 4 weeks later - mostly ingrown hairs and thicker hair. The biggest mistake she made was pulling the wax off slowly. Anyone who has ever gotten a wax knows you need to pull it off quickly. She also used the same cloth strip to rip off the wax the entire time. I'm not exactly sure what did it, but all the hair was ripped out at the surface or just below the surface, instead of from the roots. This has caused my hair to thicken down there, which means my next wax is going to be more painful. It also caused me to get a ton of ingrown hairs, which I'm still trying to get rid of. The wax she used was also very hot. Not scalding, but the hot wax was more painful than tearing off the wax paper. When we were done, she didn't give any kind of antiseptic lotion, etc. I know not all places do, but the professional places typically put something on you to make the area less irritated. This was absolutely without a doubt the worst wax I've ever gotten. I recently went to my usual lady, and she told me she couldn't even do it over until all the ingrown hairs were gone, since it'll irritate everything too much. I'm probably being a bit dramatic to say she did it on purpose, but it's strange I had such a bad experience when people seem to have good experiences here. Whatever the reason, it was not worth it to come here. Maybe she was just having an off day, but I am never ever returning here. Was definitely not worth the $25, though at least I didn't pay more for such a terrible experience. Best of luck to anyone that still goes here. I seem to be an outlier, so take this review with a grain of salt! This is just my personal experience. Update: A few months later and I have scarring from the ingrown hairs and irritation I got from this wax. I'm desperately trying to get everything to go back to normal. Even after getting a wax at my usual place I'm more prone to ingrown hairs than I've ever been. I'm still upset I went here in the first place. I don't know what happened, and hopefully other people's experiences here are different! read more

Not only was the price enticing but the quality of service is AMAZING. When you first walk in, you're immediately greeted by a friendly staff. So you're thinking to yourself, $25 for a Brazilian? What, am I getting waxed in a barn with tar? No, let me explain. La Moon is super zen and cute on the inside and makes you feel really calm. The rooms are really clean with small pots of different types of wax bubbling away and there's soft waterfall-type music playing in the background. I have no idea who waxed me (sorry!), but she was great. She was quick and efficient and didn't make me feel weird about it. She even pulled out a pair of tweezers to get the hairs that the wax missed. I've never had a Brazilian this perfect. She used a mix of hard and soft wax and it wasn't as painful as it could have been. (I mean you are getting your hair ripped out by the roots so you're not kidding anyone when you say it doesn't hurt). I'd totally go back again. Great location! I had a Brazilian wax done by Nikki. She was great! Brazilians can be really awkward and painful, but Nikki was gentle yet quick and really friendly! There was no awkward silence, she kept talking to me, and asked me if I was comfortable and if the pain was bearable. Overall, the spa is neat and clean, and very hygienic. With the promotion they have going right now, the Brazilian only cost me $25.00!! I will definitely be back. Nikki also suggested a facial for my acne-prone skin, so will be getting that soon too. the hydrafacial was great! done professionally, and the girl explained every step to me while she did it. i would definitely come back for another facial! the massage, however, was not a great time for me. the woman massaging me didn't seem to pick up on sensitive spots, and instead put her whole weight on places that hurt the most. i was literally sitting there crying, and that was AFTER i asked her to go more gently. i left in more pain than i was in when i walked in, and am still in pain a day later. read more

I had been going to Nikki for my facial for over a year now in Quincy but then heard that she moved and has opened her own spa in Wilmington...I got the information and drove from Quincy to Wilmington for my regular facial...Nikki is great, she studies your skin and does the facial based on her evaluation as opposed to most places where they just blindly follow the steps. She also explains what she is doing and why...which I greatly appreciate. The spa setup is very nice and calming. Wow! I finally found a regular massage place! My husband and I had a couples massage last Saturday that was unforgettable! I have been to a lot of different massage places in the Merrimack Valley area. I use Groupon alot and have never found a place that I would go back again and pay full price! Now I have, You need to know this is not your ordinary massage. Maybe they will do that if you ask, but otherwise be prepared for a Thai massage! Not truly traditional Thai, but very close. Yes, they walk on your back, and other places too!, They not only use their feet, but their elbows and whole bodies. They use hot stones, in wonderful ways. They will stretch you and have you in yoga poses before you realize it. They will work to get out any knots you have, no matter what! These girls know anatomy and were amazing! I was a little worried hubby might be a little weirded out, but he walked out of there asking when we could book our next one. Nice new building that is all by itself, not in a plaza or office park. Extremely clean, and best part, they were extremely accommodating with the appointment, and I booked the day before. We can't wait to go back! read more
