My dad and brothers come here regularly because they live in the Richwood and Lake Jackson area, and like the food. My dad especially likes the green sauce. Our waitress was extremely kind and took our orders quickly, filled our coffee regularly, and made sure we had more than enough green sauce for our food. The food came out quickly and was very good. I ordered the Hippo in a bowl (no tortilla). Very tasty, and the green sauce was just the right amount of heat to it. It was about a 13 minute drive from the jetties. The restaurant had a pretty decent lunch crowd. I was greeted the second I walked up to the counter. I ordered 4 beef fajita tacos, chicharron taco with red sauce, and a barbacoa taco. The prices on the steep side per "breakfast" taco $6 .75 and up, but they were huge! Total spent for 6 tacos $58 with tax! I was charged for cilantro and onions and didn't get it on my barbacoa taco. Also they don't include lettuce and tomatoes on your beef fajita tacos, first time I've come across this. Overall, customer service is good, value for the tacos pricey, but you can definitely make two tacos out of them. The meat seasoned well and the best was the barbacoa wasn't greasy or fatty! The chicharron tacos with red sauce are a must for me every chance I can order it. It wasn't my favorite the way they prepared it. We'd consider coming back when we're in Freeport again.
