Love this place! I have tried out pretty much every nail salon in the Dallas area and this one tops them all. The environment was so friendly and the nail technician did an incredible job. She was very detailed and precise with every nail - I got a gel manicure so that is incredibly import ant when the manicure is hoping to last for a few weeks! Andddddd the best part - on $29!!! When you are traveling into town, and select businesses based on yelp reviews, you hardly ever go wrong. In this particular case, I did! And it bothered me so much, I finally made the leap and JOINED Yelp specifically to post this review. (I will need to post reviews from now on... Good and bad) Back on topic, the folks at La Nail Salon refused to provide service at 515pm on Super Bowl Sunday (they allegedly closed at 6pm) as they had decided to close early "for the super bowl!" They saw me get out of an airport taxi, with my luggage and even heard me explain that I had come as quickly as I could from the airport, after flying all day. Needless to say, I was crushed! Not only did I have a weeklong business meeting in Dallas and unkept nails, but now I was also stranded at the salon without a taxi and with my luggage! The nails were not done, and so I give this place a 1, because I cannot give it negative stars. As for me, I walked with my luggage to nearby Nailicious, where walk-ins really ARE welcome, and they stay open when customers are willing to pay! read more

Was in desperate need of a shellac manicure during a recent visit to DFW. Went here on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Very professional service and you get a free drink (water, pop, white or red wine) while your services are getting completed. The place isn't huge so you may want to make an appointment as I'm sure they get busy during the weekend. They have a good range of shellac colors and they take their time filing and processing under the UV light. You also get a free neck/shoulder massage. I felt like I was actually at a masseuse! At the last minute, I decided to also get a pedicure. More wine while I waited and an amazing pedicure. They use hot stones and again don't rush through any of the process. Loved this place! It is a kinda small shop, but with comfy large chairs. The staff is extremely nice and the owners is constantly running around and making sure everyone is happy. They were a little slow though and I was gettin my fill while getting my pedicure and it still seemed long. I did hate that he was doing my fill while doing my pedi because he got the dust all over my black shirt, but I understood he was trying to get it over with. I loved the guy doing my pedicure. I've been going to LA Nail spa pretty much since it opened but was a customer of Andrew's long before he opened LA Nail. His service motto is best summed up by wanting every customer to leave happy and come back for more. I am an always happy customer and now go with my best friend who always wants to accompany me, too. Since going there, I've learned that many close friends now visit LA Nail because of their great service and great prices. You get SO much pedicure for your buck and they'll even give you extra massage (for a price, it's a business, of course) if they have time and you request it. Andrew and Co. have always been accommodating to my requests and I have recommended (and still do) this place to my closest of friends. I've visited other nail places (a la JC Nail) and have HANDS DOWN found the best place in Dallas to get your nails done. P.S. Stopped in on a Tuesday night after work for a mani/pedi to take advantage of their 15% off weeknight special. I planned to go around 6:30 and called in advance just to make sure they'd have a chair for me. Unfortunately, they were a little short-staffed, and I had to wait (luckily, in a massage chair) for ~30 min for someone to start working on my pedicure. Ultimately, I think I was there from 6:30 to 8:30 for a simple mani/pedi (no acrylics or anything complicated) -- kind of a long time. Besides that, it was a great experience. Overall, I left satisfied with the job done on my nails. I went in with acrylic nails and Andrew talked me into trying gel polish instead. why only 3 stars? -He cut one of my fingers pretty badly, it's still sore 2 days later. -Andrew's wife ended up doing my gel polish. She was about to begin painting my nails when they were all different shapes and lengths. I asked for this to be fixed and she had quite an attitude about it. Then 3 other workers were crowding around the desk discussing this. She fixed them. But it was talked about " behind my back" in a different language for a few minutes. -my mom got her acrylic nails filled and got a beautiful design on 2 nails. She didn't like that Andrew got a little over creative and put blue and green stones over her pink polish when 1 clear stone was requested. Nonetheless, I'm satisfied overall. I recently moved to this area and have struggled to replace my favorite nail salon. I found one that was fancy but the gel manicure was subpar to say the least and needed replacement much earlier than usual. I just can't justify driving 30 minutes bak to my old place. Like many Yelpers, I looked at the reviews for help. LA Nails had many great reviews so I took a chance tonight. They were very welcoming from the start and got me right in even though they were getting very close to closing time. Everyone checked on my comfort level with the massage pressure, water temperature, etc...no complaints there. Tran did my manicure and it looks like the gel color is growing right out of my own nailbed, like it was meant to be there all along. There was no color stuck on my skin either. Amazing job! Tony did my pedicure and gave the best massage; I almost fell asleep. The owner came by to check on my satisfaction and reminded me of their special during the week. The "owner" hung up in my face and rudely told me he doesn't care how much money I have spent with them after I called back to complete my thought. When he answered the phone the second time, instead of telling me he has nail techs who can assist me, he stated he's already told me I have the wrong number. Had to find a new nail salon after moving to Dallas and have been to three so far. This one did a great job on my pedicure. I opted for the deluxe because I have been doing a lot of unpacking and definitely needed the opportunity to kick back and relax. If you opt for the deluxe, be sure to have at least an hour to spend, but it's a good hour because someone is giving you a great foot massage. I brought my own polish and my pedicure looks nice and even. I will definitely go back as it's reasonably priced for the service, convenient to my home, and was a great experience. read more

I recently found this location, I was a loyal Hollywood nails customer until most of the staff left or was fired because of new management. It's right across the street from my office so its easy to get to. The only reason why I didn't give them a 5 Astra rating is because of parking... It's usually hard to find a spot due to the my fit foods next door. The location is a little old and a bit shady for those looking for an upscale place. I have been searching for a good nail salon in Dallas since I moved here over 2 years ago. I think I've finally found it! I made an appointment for a Friday evening and was told that I could come in at 7:15pm. I ended up getting stuck in traffic on my way home and called them to let them know I was going to be about 10 minutes late. Of course I get there and there wasn't an empty seat in the place. So I had about a 15 minute wait - which was totally fine with me because I can never pick out a color anyway. The owner (a man) was super friendly and brought me a glass of wine while I waited. Once my mani station was available, I was sat down, refilled and had my first gel/shellac manicure started. At the end of my mani, I was treated to an amazing neck and shoulder massage. Then it was off to the pedi chair. The young man that did my pedi was super great as well. I was seriously nodding off - I think I got a total of 40 minutes of foot and leg massage. (Heaven!) While I had my pedicure the lady who did my nails came over to wax my eyebrows. While she did an AMAZING job on my nails - the waxing is not something I'd recommend. I was trying to enjoy my pedi when she came over to rip the hair off my face right at the end of my foot and leg massage. I was nervous about doing this in the massage chair to begin with and she acted somewhat frustrated when I moved to turn the chair off so that she wouldn't wax my eyebrow off... She managed to make them skinnier than ever regardless and didn't tweeze to get the strays either. She them proceeded to wax my upper lip without request or warning. The wax was on there so I figured whatever - just go for it. The wax was hotter than hell and I have some burned skin on both my eyes and lip. So I will be going elsewhere for my eyebrows in the future. One other small complaint - the sorority girls that yammered the entire time I was there. They talked in overly loud and enthusiatic voices about their boyfriends, girlfriends and vacations, etc. It was SO effing annoying. And there were 5 of them so there wasn't a moment of peace. Thankfully my wine was refilled so I didn't care too much at the time. For the nails - this will be my new go-to place. Minus one star for the waxing mishap. This salon is hands-down the best nail salon I have found after trying out about 10 in Dallas. The prices are very reasonable and the manicurists do an exceptional job. I had a shellac mani, a deluxe pedi (that includes an amazing 5 min shoulder massage!), and an eyebrow wax for $70 (including tip). The girl who did my nails was so sweet and genuine and actively engaged me in conversation; she easily managed both an excellent manicure and rapport with her clients. Also, one of my measures of a nail salon is the interactions among the manicurists; a lot of non-Vietnamese people are often curious or suspicious of whenever the manicurists start talking among themselves, and I can vouch that these ladies/men do not talk badly about clients (I'm half-Viet, look Caucasian, but am fluent). So I have been coming to LA Nail Spa for 8 years. My friend recommended it to me and I haven't been anywhere else since. For the 4 years I lived in Fort Worth I drove to Dallas to see them. The ownership are great- family run and always remember me when I come in. The craftsmanship is quality and if there is ever a problem in between appointments they have always taken care of me. This is my first Yelp review, because I don't have time for negative bullshit and instead am choosing to celebrate businesses that I think do it right. In the aftermath of the Covid virus they have practiced stellar health protocols and social distancing. I've never been accompanied by more than one other customer after re-opening procedures were enacted. And mostly am by myself. I wear my mask because they do as well. I know a nail salon may seem like a small indulgence, but it is a business I would like to see endure. - ultimate pedicure: so relaxing - gel/ dip/ classic manicure- very well done. La Nail Spa was fabulous! My only complaint about this place is size, I wish the place was bigger so I could haul all of my friends to get pedicures here. For $30 I got to plop in a massage chair, soak my feet in warm water and sip on glasses of wine while a woman vigorously worked to make my toes shine. He showed me a letter from the City of Dallas thanking him for his recent help in physically stopping a criminal running from police in front of his store. Bonus points for being a Good Samaritan! Didn't know about 15% off M-W, or the wine, so stoked to go back even more. However, his massages (feet during pedi) and neck/back as you're waiting for nails to dry are the best! After seeing the other yelp reviews, I decided to check this place out. I got a shellac manicure and a signature pedicure. It was a great decision. I was warmly welcomed upon entering and was seated almost immediately, despite the fact that almost all the other pedicure chairs were filled with other customers. I noticed how friendly all the other patrons were too each other, and during my visit, several patrons stopped by to make future appointments The salon had more than the average amount of shellac colors to choose from. A beverage was offered, the usual massaging pedicure chair was available, and I received my manicure while getting the pedicure. I was surprised by the length of the signature pedicure. It was at least 45 minutes and only $45. There were at least 4 different massages/lotions plus a parafin treatment. It was a great pedicure overall and well worth the money. I was pleased with the shellac manicure, although I think my nails are a little shorter than I originally intended. The manicurist was very friendly as well. I was burned by the drill and prompted to place my hands in boiling water to remove my previous dip manicure. Went here with my mom on November 3rd 2010. Everyone was very nice. We called on our drive over and that gave us 10% off. Our pedicures were $27 each (regular being $30). My best friend was getting married in less than a week so all the bridesmaids wanted to go somewhere spectacular to get our nails done - of course that is where Yelp came into the picture! :) This salon has gotten so many amazing reviews i really thought we found the prefect spot! Little did i know... First of all, let me say that i am absolutely NOT picky about my nails. My eyebrows is a different story, but my nails - no biggie! Anyways, i don't know what was wrong with the staff but OMG rude is an understatement of what going on that day. The WHOLE entire time we were there the main guy was complaining with an elderly women. At first i thought it was a joke, but everyone in the salon would get quiet because their arguments were SO loud! It was very uncomfortable, but it had nothing to do with us so i did not let it bother me.... UNTIL the women who was doing my nails started arguing with same man! The conversation between them got so intense that she literally pushed the skin on my ring finger so far back that it cut and started bleeding! I tired to pull my hand away because of the pain but she took it back and started the work on the other nail while continuing her argument. I was SO SHOCKED that i said "Ouccchhhhhhh! Please stop! That hurt so bad that im bleeding! I thought the worst part was over...... but ...... she pulled my hand back towards her and said "Hunny it's your hand not mine" Oh really lady? Thanks for letting me know lol I'm laughing when im writing this down now, but i was at the point of tears at that moment. She was so rude and demeaning that i felt bad for her. How can someone twice my age not have enough common sense to know the difference between right and wrong? To make things worse when the main guy saw/heard what was going on he said to me "She is not mean. She is just like that" Hmmmmm okay :/ After all of this, one girls working told me today was her last day. Of course in the back of my mind i was happy for her lol :) Right before i was going to pay that same girl got pulled to the back of the salon and got yelled at by the main guy. All you can hear him saying is "No more sorry! No more sorry!" Thank God she does not have to work at that awful place ever again! Not the mention, most of the bridesmaids got gel nails done - which was done so thick that it barley lasted 5 days for us! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE PEOPLE! Out of 41 reviews i only have 2 negative ones (including this one) which shows it takes ALOT to disappoint me. Now that I've moved to HEB, although there are plenty of nail places in my area, I still trek to Dallas for special occasions because I know they will do a great job. I have super-short nails (don't judge) and this is the only place I have found that can paint a cute little french manicure without commenting on how difficult it is or giving up halfway through and making me switch to solid, both of which have happened at other salons. The owner is really friendly, and somehow always remembers everyone that comes in, even if it has been months since they've seen you last.
