Here in the area for an appointment at Mayo and need some dinner. Found this fabulous restaurant down the street from our hotel the Hampton Inn on Beach Blvd. It happened to be a Tuesday so taco Tuesday was in effect. The special was three tacos for 7.99. I expected small tacos so I also ordered table side guacamole. Well everything was large and delicious. My husband wasn't too hungry so he ordered a fajita quesadilla well it was enormous. Service was top notch and atmosphere was pleasant and appropriate. Highly recommend this restaurant. Margaritas were great and on $5 special yay!!

Tried this location for the first time. Pretty good!

I had the pleasure of trying La Nopalera for the first time celebrating a neighbors birthday. This location was new, although I'm not sure when it opened. The service was great and the margaritas were delicious! I tried both the Blueberry Jalapeno and Smokey Mango margaritas and my favorite was the blueberry. I ordered three tacos, asada, shredded pork and shredded chicken, served with beans and rice. The tacos were tasty and fresh and served with a spicy pico. I also had a jalapeno popper which was crispy and delicious. And the queso was yummy too. I will absolutely be back to this location as it was close to home and I enjoyed the food and ambiance.

Been back a few times since this review and the service has changed a lot. The food is good, service is solid and ambience is relaxing and entertaining. The birria is amazing. Thank you Jose. Your lively energy was needed after a long day

After visiting their other locations, I gave up on them with mediocre food and service. After reading other reviews of there newest location on Beach Blvd we decided to give them a try and I am glad we did the food was awesome service was great Managment checked on us to ensure everything was good we were very happy with the food, desert, and the margaritas. This will be our new go to for Mexican food and drinks. If you were not happy with previous visits at there other locations give them a try you will be pleasantly surprised.

I'm so glad La Nopalera reopened near me. It's a little closer to town on Beach Blvd (closer to Hodges) than the previous location at San Pablo. The new restaurant is brand new with colorful decor (although I preferred the Mexican-themed decor at the other location) and much more space for dining. Service is much better as they have a ton more staff now and the food is still the same great food you'd expect for La Nops. I've been hoping they would re-open and they did. This is probably my favorite for well-priced Mexican food and cheap Margaritas. I've been here twice in the last 2 weeks and I'll continue to return.

Excellent food and prompt service. First time visiting for the Colorado game. Frozen margaritas and beef-tip chimichangas. Authentic Mexican.

Parking will cost you (think it was $8 for 3 hours) but there's plenty of parking options. The restaurant sits on the corner and faces towards the beach (although you can't see the beach). It was pretty packed inside and a reservation is recommended. I liked the busy atmosphere. We started with a modelo and oysters. There were some beers on tap they ran out of for the evening. The oysters were good, but shall we than I expected. I opted for their snapper special: pan seared over jasmine rice with string green beans and a nice sauce underneath. It came out looking like a 5 star meal and tasted as such. One of the best red snapper entrees I've had!. It's hard not to give 5 stars when the fish is this amazing! Our waitress was also on point and there when we needed her. I hope to be back here again and would recommend!

We came again for Father's Day- reservations made in advance. Seated on time, seated on the top- by the window, quieter than downstairs and a wonderful view. Server was great. Food: Calamari- only ok, not a lot of flavor at all. Shrimp and grits- large serving and good. Bitter beans, always good- maybe didn't need so much (lesson learned( Crabcakes- this time lacked in comparison to others in terms of flavor and freshness. Really good French 75s. Still a good visit overall and would try again.

I have no idea how I've gone all this time living in Jax without making it to Marker 32! A miss in…read moremy part for sure. The restaurant itself is so unassuming from the outside and also really from the inside as well. It's very understated, but maintains a level of class. Nothing is overdone decor-wise and it's just... nice. And the food was wonderful. We started with deviled eggs for the table. Not one of my personal favorite foods, but even I liked it. The fried oyster on top is a great add. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes, which came with a side of bacon. The pancakes I imagined were going to be super rich, but they weren't! They were perfect fluffy, tasty pancakes with blueberry on them as a perfect topper. The bacon was just the right amount of crispy while still being just a little chewy. I also did have a nibble of the short rib hash and I am convinced I will get that for myself next time. So much flavor in just my one forkful. I was too stuffed full to eat any dessert but I will be dreaming of those beignets until next time (even tho technically an appetizer). We were served a little praline tho, which I thought was nice and of course I found a little space for! Our server was also just such a gem. The exact right amount of checking in and information on specials etc. they made an already great experience that much more wonderful. Also at a time when I feel like so many restaurants are just way overpriced, Marker32 is not. The food quality is well beyond the price they charge which was a great surprise. This spot is definitely on my will return list. Gotta try out the dinner menu.

I was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday here, but unfortunately the experience was…read moredisappointing from the moment we arrived. We checked in about 15 minutes before our reservation, which was completely fine since we expected to wait at the bar until our table was ready. However, even 15 minutes after our reservation time had passed, no one had called us. When we went back to the hostess stand to ask, we were told the only table available was one that had been sitting empty the entire time--right behind the hostess stand next to the entrance. Since this was a birthday dinner, I asked if we could wait a little longer for a better table. Instead of trying to accommodate us, they simply pointed to another couple who looked like they were finishing dessert and implied we'd have to wait for that table. Not wanting to delay the evening any further, we reluctantly accepted the undesirable table. The food was okay, but the service from the two hostesses and the manager was what really left a bad impression. No one acknowledged that we had been overlooked, no one apologized, and there was absolutely no effort to make things right--especially disappointing considering it was a birthday reservation. There are plenty of great restaurants in Jacksonville with much better hospitality. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of them, and I wouldn't choose to celebrate a special occasion here again.

If you're visiting the area and love seafood, put this place on your list immediately! We were on the hunt for stone crab claws, a true Florida staple (we first tried it in Chicago and was told it was shipped from Florida!) The Fish Company delivered! Everything looked fresh from the moment we walked in, and you can tell seafood is what they do best. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up coming back again on our last day before heading home. The stone crab claws were absolutely delicious, along with the oysters and shrimp. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. My biggest recommendation is to call ahead if you're looking for stone crab claws, because they do sell out! One thing I really appreciated was being able to see all the fresh seafood on display. You can sit right at the bar area and watch them prep at the display case! For my military friends, it's also conveniently located right down the road from base, making it an easy stop when you're craving fresh seafood. Great food, fresh, friendly service, and a place we'll absolutely return to the next time we're in Florida. We only wish we had discovered it earlier in our trip!
