Empanadas...these are so delicious and very unexpected for the location. I order these every time I come here they are that good
Morgan H.

I love that this place is right around the corner from my house. I used to avoid it b/c there was an individual working there that I didn't care for, but once I heard that this person was no longer there I knew we had to stop by and have a few drinks. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they also serve food. We sampled a few different items that day and I don't really recall all of them, but I do remember the empanadas...they were fantastic! I would definitely order those again. All and all this place is great. Locally owned, which I love to support. And has a pretty good staff of people working there now as well.

Love this place.

Terrible food and hot beers. And the bartenders are very rude! They really need new management and happy bartenders.

They over charge your credit card and overpriced drinks that aren't very good. They smoke in the bar and only have one bathroom.

Their cocktails are superb and very high-quality. The service is absolutely the best in the entire city that I have ever experienced. Not only was everybody friendly, but they were super excited about their experience and their products and were very willing to answer questions and provide any guidance we wanted. During our 90 minute visit, I'm certain they stopped at our table 4 or five times to check on us. It was not intrusive, it was part of the experience. We were blown away. When we left, our bill was reasonable, we felt we had a high-quality night out, and we made plans to 100% come back much more often. I just can't rate this place higher or speak more highly of it. Truly worthy of five stars. Thank you, Mayport Garden Club, for the justice that you do to your patrons, the world of tiki, and craft cocktails! Oh - food came from the pizza baker next door at Reve brewing. It had a slight burnt taste (wood fired? Coal fired?) but wasn't bad overall. The cocktails and great service and atmosphere are front-and-center here!!

By the time we ordered the small plates and shortly after its arrival I was convinced we'd come back. Delicious! Flavorful, decadent and very fulfilling! From the Queso completo, Mexican street corn and the carnitas tamale rojo that was perfectly paired with a pickled flavored jalapeño made the dish alive and tapping with flavor dancing on the taste buds. I asked the server to surprise me between three dishes I couldn't decide from. Dom, you're amazing; kind, courteous and you really know how to make an everlasting impression so effortlessly. The star of the show was the whole grilled yellowtail chef's special with a tamarind ponzu sauce that he chose for me! What a way to wow your guest and make them feel safe with trusting the palette of the family that's working together. I have to say this dish was AMAZING, Craig (The Chef) came to greet us in the midst of our dinner, that was a first! Hands down best yellowtail. My bf doesn't even like fish and he couldn't stop from eating it and wished he'd ordered the special. It was a nice, cozy and modern space and I love the ambiance! Can't wait to come back! Thanks again Dom & Craig!!

4.5 stars would be most accurate. Located in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, this fancy restaurant…read moreserves Oaxaca food from Mexico for both dinner and brunch. I had my first meal there when I visited Jacksonville Beach recently. Got the grilled bone-in yellow snapper, which was a daily special. Fresh, meaty, smoky. It was served with mixed greens and apple salad, some grilled green onions and freshly made corn tortillas. All paired well with the fish. The tortillas were about 0.75oz per piece. Moreover, the dish was served on a HUGE cutting board! I also ordered a side of Spanish rice, but surprisingly the manager took it off from my bill, saying that "[he was] glad that I enjoyed the meal so much"! The first meal was indeed impressive; it had been a while since I had had such Mexican food last time. So I decided to give it another try the next evening. Ordered the Carne Asada (asked for rare) and sub the beans with extra tortillas (to avoid high GI food). But the steak was disappointing: the first time it was served ~medium-well. The second time it was ~medium-rare so I did not complain twice. However, it was quite chewy. One reason was that, as you can see from my picture, the meat was not rest long enough before it was sliced and served. Service was good, friendly and quick. The restuarant was a bit noisy but I enjoyed the energy. Moreover, there were lots of beautiful decors and murals. I really like the tiger painted on the wall of their main dining area. So in short, I would recommend this restaurant if you like Mexican food. I would recommend the seafood and slowly-cooked stuff, like their short rib and pork shank. And I will dine in again the next time I visit Jacksonville Beach.

This was our third visit to Midtown Table, and the quality of both the food and service has been…read moreconsistently outstanding. From the moment we walked in until we left, the staff was friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. We started with the Calabrian chili wings. They were crispy, hot, and packed with flavor. My only criticisms are that a few of the wings could have used a little more of the Calabrian glaze, they were disrespectfully small, they were all flats, and surprisingly, the restaurant doesn't serve blue cheese dressing despite offering several dishes featuring blue cheese. For my entrée, I ordered the hand-cut fettuccine with glacier blue cheese cream sauce, Calabrian honey, tomato confit, crispy pancetta, and added steak. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the dish had an incredible balance of sweet and savory flavors. I've ordered this same dish on all three visits because it's that good. Every time I tell myself I'm going to try something different, and every time I end up ordering it again. My wife ordered the vodka pizza, and it was excellent. After trying a slice, I can confidently recommend it. On future visits, we'll probably order the pizza as an appetizer to share. It's delicious, easily shareable, and a much better value than the wings or some of the other starters. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and each one was excellent. The frozen fruit and vegetables embedded in the ice cubes were a creative touch that made the drinks feel even more special. If I had one suggestion, it would be to serve bread with the pasta dishes. It would be the perfect accompaniment to soak up every last bit of those incredible sauces. Overall, Midtown Table continues to impress. The food is consistently excellent, the cocktails are creative, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. If you're looking for one of the best dining experiences in the area, Midtown Table absolutely deserves a visit

Another recommendation by my coworker for food options near Jax, further away from the beach…read more We booked reservations for 6:30PM, and thank God we did because it was insanely busy! I grabbed a seat at the bar while we waited and got a margarita (standard). The margarita was really light and refreshing but fairly underwhelming (had a blood orange piece in it but no lime). Guess I just like my margaritas truly traditional. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer and also got the bread (which comes with roasted garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and a full roasted garlic glove to spread). I loved the free bread but really REALLY loved the hummus. I've had many variations of hummus and this was my favorite thus far. See photos and menu, but this is a must. I must have been so enamored with the hummus because I forgot my picture of the Margherita pizza. The pizza was fairly standard for me but it was standard in a good way. The basil popped off this pizza and must've been hand picked to be so flavorful. For dessert, we got a complimentary house made ice cream. It was vanilla but had olive oil, caramel, sea salt and something else on top that we had to stir in. The combo was amazing! Absolutely recommend this place but expect it to be very busy between 6-8PM. Get reservations!

The name of the drinks was cracking me up. I usually stick with the mocktails at work events so I went with a Somebody Kill me Please and it was quite lovely! That was probably my favorite drink. I couldn't keep track of all the food we got. I had several slices of who knows what kinds of Pizza but they were all very good and cooked to perfection. Same goes for the wings! And everything came out quite quickly! I know we were a little bit of a large and possibly raucous (politely of course) crowd and the bartenders handled it all fantastically.
