My friend ordered us the Pork Belly Kimchi Fries, I got us an order of the Cheese Curds, and for my entree I got an order of the Asian Sticky Wings. I probably would have never ordered the kimchi fries on my own. Sometimes kimchi can be fickle and really hit or miss. It was definitely a hit here. More on the sweet and tangy side but worked really well. Fries seasoned perfectly, and the pork belly cubed and cooked to perfection. Out of all of the times I've been to Wicked Barley, these fries have to be one of the best items I've had from there. Cheese curds were pretty basic. Tasted great, but nothing to write home about. If you like Cheese curds, you'll enjoy theirs. I originally had my eye on the jerk chicken wings and I was warned by the waitress and my friend that they are REALLY hot. Jerk chicken is generally one of those thats right on the borderline of too hot for me. To give you an idea, if you're familiar with Butthutt BBQ's jerk chicken, theirs is as far as I can go for spice level. So I switched it up to be safe, and I am glad I did. Sweet and sticky, these had really great flavor inside and out. Would definitely get these again in the future. Brought a couple home to the hubby and he seemed to enjoy them too, and he normally doesn't like, what he refers to as, "sweet meat". I had three different beers in my favorite tasting style, sour. I had the PB&J sour, the mango sour, and the orange cream sour. The orange cream was my favorite of the 3. We enjoyed the sounds of the band Splittone in the background and enjoyed the whole vibe of our meal. I'm hoping to visit again on a future weekend and possibly bringing one of my pups along with me since they are dog friendly.

We'd been there more than a few times back when it was Jax Craft Beer but this was our first time since they changed to The Cavern. The first thing we noticed was the huge, cool bar that's been added. We started with the House Made Pretzel. The pretzel itself was great and the beer cheese with it was excellent! I ordered the Basan with a few minor modifications. I asked for it without pickles or hot mustard. Everything else worked together really well on a good ground chicken patty.. The candied jalapeños added an especially unique touch. My wife ordered the Brick Burger which is super unique (menu pics in the comments). Like me, she liked how everything worked together. She said she might ask for no mashed potatoes next time though. They weren't bad, she just thought the burger would be just as good without it. We had the pleasure of meeting some of our group members while we were there, which was awesome. We also got to meet the owner, Aaron as well. He's a super nice guy who seems to really care about what they're doing at The Cavern. One final note: they were doing something while we were there that seemed really cool. On Saturdays, they do a beer sharing event. In short, people can buy an extra beer from the cooler that gets shared with everyone in the place by way of small sample size glasses. It ended up being a great sour red though, so I'm not mad at it. Humor goes a long way with me though, so even if it wasn't great I would've dealt with it on name alone: Cherry Busey! We only hung out for a little bit (again, we need to get home for dinner) but it would he very easy to stay for longer. You can see from the photos that they have a ton...and I mean a ton of craft beers. In addition to that, they have a big room with lots of room to kick back. Our night was delayed shortly when my wife decided to take on one of those wooden barrel puzzle. You can see her dismay in the picture of us! We both took a crack at it for a while and never did solve it, but we eventually decided we needed to let it go. You win this time wooden barrel puzzle! One other thing to note is that there's parking behind it. So if you decide to go there, don't be intimidated by what looks like street only parking. Go around behind the place and you'll be all set.

I would consider myself an 'island food connoisseur' and I can confidently say they have THE BEST Rice and peas I've tried in Jacksonville. Tepey's started its roots as a small food truck during the Covid-19 pandemic while Luis and team worked on building out the brewery. Tepey's focus is based on Mexican Aztec roots and history, and that shines through not only the food that comes out of the kitchen, but through its diverse flavors of beers, with a primary focus on lagers. Tepey's is now a staple in the San Marco neighborhood and hosts many community events from pop up markets, live music, trivia, and so much more! It's no wonder they will be celebrating their 5 year anniversary this upcoming weekend and I, for one, am greatly looking forward to it. There is also a salsa bar where you can get any level of heat. All of them are great. Tequilas is one of two Mexican restaurants I frequent and they are excellent. Upon being shown to our booth, the floor by the table we were seated at was extremely slippery. At first I thought it was due to a fresh mopping and they had just forgotten a sign, but it stayed extremely hard to navigate the entire meal. Let's get into the highlights: some of the freshest table side guacamole I've ever had. Made right in front of you and you get a ton for what you pay for. My lunch portion of my Yucatán Quesadilla was only $9.99 as it was a Friday and it was just okay. Unfortunately, I did have to cut it myself. The "small" margarita for $12.99 is absolutely gigantic. In fact, every drink I saw come out was of ginormous proportion and seems to be the main draw here. Unfortunately, I was a bit let down by both the salsa, as even though there was a full bar, none of the options were all that tasty. The biggest detractor was honestly the service. Our server was extremely nice on the surface, but every opportunity was used to upsell by every member of the staff. A bigger drink, another appetizer, another drink, handing us their card and asking for a review following paying. I normally never have issue with this but it became overwhelming at a certain point. This restaurant absolutely feels like it has potential, but might suffocate over its mistakes in an extremely crowded Town Center/Southside Market.
