Esmeralda was very informative, and explained the menu thoroughly. We ordered the Elote's corn as an appetizer. Also, the birria pizza. first, let me start off by saying that pizza was one of the best things that I have ever ate super cheesy amazing flavor. The corn was good as well. We also got a torta and it was unbelievable!!!!! We also ordered a grilled taco salad. You get a lot for the lunch portion and it was very flavorful. What I like about this restaurant is they use all fresh ingredients you can tell they do not use. La Pachanga in Herculaneum is my go to restaurant when the arroz con camerones craving sets in. It's very consistent and always delicious. I usually get takeout, but the restaurant is actually beautiful so don't eat out of a box like me; go ahead and go in. The restaurant also makes this dish in under two minutes I think. It's so fast. I'm a fan of Mexican food, well I should say Americanized Mexican food, which is the name I give to the food served at chain restaurants. La Pachanga is one of those kind of chains, and I mean that in a very good way. There are two locations of this restaurant in my area which makes it convenient. This one is decorated up in bright colors, and we were greeted immediately, we were seated and the server took our drink orders promptly. We didn't have to wait long for the drinks and chips and salsa, another plus. The salsa is a little more tomato based than I prefer, but it does have a nice kick to it. I ordered a half order of beef nachos and a bean enchilada, and the rest of the group placed their orders. It didn't take long at all for the food to show up, and it was presented very nicely. The meal was fantastic, and the server was awesome with keeping the drinks refilled, and the supply of chips and salsa refilled. We relaxed a bit after eating, and paid the bill and left highly satisfied to say the least.. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant again, hopefully others will have just as pleasant of an experience as we did. read more

We really enjoy the Festus location but this location is terrible. Unfortunately its the location right by our house. 1st Visit, seated quickly. I got my food but my husband did not. We waited for our server. She sped by us several tomes but wouldn't acknowledge us trying to get her attention. We finally got up and fond her. My husbands food came 20 minutes after mine. 2nd time, seated quickly,good service but taco salad we both got was so salty it burned your tongue. I had this same dish the week before at the Festus location and it was fantastic. Next week went back to Festus and the dish was great Tonight, (yes we were silly to go back hoping) we came in, it took 15 minutes to get anyone to acknowledge we would like to be seated. The hostess was huffing and sighing when she got our name, promptly ignores us and two other couples. The restaurant had several open booths and tables. At 20 more minutes with her sighing at all the waiters and telling them loudly they'd just need to hold on, we left to go somewhere else. I ordered steak fajitas with beans and rice (menu states one or the other) and no salad. I got home with the fajita meat with no beans, no rice and no fajita shells. Worst experience and management service ever. We are here tonight. We ordered two jumbo margaritas, cheese dip and two dinners. The waitress spilled half of my margarita on me when she sat it down on the table. See the picture I just put on this site. They charged us the full price of our meal. I had to ask for a discount since I was only given half of a margarita and had half dumped on me. The manager took $5 off of my $15 drink. I asked if she really thought that was right or fair and she said she would make it right next time. What??? I am not even from here! We do stop here when we travel through, but never again! This place has become my go to for Mexican food. It is the best in the county in my opinion. The staff are great, they text out deals and alerts, and the food is phenomenal. Much better than the festus location. If I had to pick one area restaurant to eat at on a daily basis, this would be the one. There is a huge langauge barrier between the servers and customers. They do not check on you.
