We had lunch here today. We were around the corner at Big Lots and this came up on our Yelp app as being the closest restaurant. We were heading to Publix and decided to eat something first (I don't like to food shop when I'm hungry!). We ate inside. The tables are spaced far apart. The menu is a Latin fusion -- dishes from Venezuela, Colombia, El Salvador, and even Mexico. There's a wide variety of dishes from pupusas to tacos; arepas to ceviche and churasco. We both decided to try their soup of the day. It was chicken soup with pieces of chicken, carrots, elbow macaroni, and potatoes. It was okay, but would have been better served at a hotter temperature. I also tried their mixed pupusas. I ordered two of them and they were huge. They came with a side of vinegary slaw to top the pupusas. I ate one and brought the other one home. Service was nice and friendly. Language is no problem. I'm glad we went. Now we know.

La Padella Lantina opened 2 weeks ago in the location formerly occupied by MCK Fusion Cafe in a strip mall in Coconut Creek. This family owned business serves a variety of Latin dishes. After having visited MCK Fusion it looks like the new owners have spruced the place up. There is ample seating inside or you can order take out at the large counter with stools. The menu is huge. There are four pages of dishes to choose from plus appetizers, dessert and beverages that include beer and wine. For my first visit I ordered the tacos with your choice of chicken, pork, or steak topped with onions and cilantro. I tried one of each and they ranged in price from $2.25 to $2.75. The girl who helped me was a sweetheart. Served with lime and a tasty green sauce, the tacos were filling and delicious. Prices are inexpensive and I look forward to trying out the rest of the menu. I wish them the best of luck in their new restaurant. Support a small business and check them out. The restaurant is open daily from 8 to 10 PM except for Sunday when they close at 9.

Guacamole was too salty, chips were crumbs, rice in the burrito was wet. Description on the menu does not say it's made with beans and rice, but when i called and asked was told it did. Overpriced. Before I could select receipt she hit no. I asked for one and she gave the credit card receipt, I needed the itemized one. Paid $24 for the two items in my photos, not worth it.

Service here was great, very clean little place. I stopped by while waiting for my dog to get groomed in the plaza next door. Ordered the pupusas which were delicious so fresh, the hot sauce and cabbage salad were great. The rice and beans were ok and I took a Venezuelan arepa Togo which looks really good. A small hole in a wall in a plaza that's not busy. The cashier was nice. The food was ok. Nothing special really. It was honestly a bit dry, both the fries and chicken. Would I come back? No, since I've had better places closer to me. Is it worth a try? Maybe if you try something other than the milanesa de pollo, yes.

Worst service I have ever encountered the food wasn't edible and the owner was argumentative which I refused to engage in. They lost a $20. Tip over a $4. Item. Would strongly advise to stay away from this restaurant!!!

I had a horrible experience here. First I waited like 40 minutes for 2 tacos and when I finally get it this is what I get. The meat is cold, the tortilla is hard and no topping. Just meat and a dry tortilla. I try this place because is closed to home and I wanted to love it, but OMG! What a mess. Never again! Street tacos are better than this. If this is what they consider a taco they won't be around for long.

I came in on a Monday evening and was greeted upon entering! The restaurant was very clean and had nice Hispanic music playing. I ordered a cafe con leche, a chicken quesadilla and 2 arepas. Everything was delicious and very fresh! My favorite was the Arepa de Chocolo con Queso it reminded me of plaintains. I will definitely be back again! :) read more

Um, yum! I ordered the reina pepiada arepa and it was so really good! An easy lunch that felt authentic. There was no one inside, but this spot does great with take out orders. The menu was pretty large, and I'm definitely going to come back here and bring my husband. I want to try their soup and some of their entrees. Or maybe we'll just do takeout like everyone else seems to do! read more

My mom and I ate here on a Saturday afternoon and had a wonderful meal and excellent service! The tostones and guacamole were perfect! Fresh guacamole with warm and wonderful crafted tostones. I loved the flavor of the guacamole-not too garlicky or spicy. The house salad was very fresh and tasty with fresh avocado slices and everything clearly chopped by hand. I loved the beans and rice - excellent flavor. And the seafood soup was quite impressive with tender clams and mussels, yummy chunks of fish and big pieces of crab. We ended our meal with a lovely slice of Carmelo flan. We will definitely be back! This place sits in an out of the way plaza but it is clearly well run and the food is lovingly prepared. We tried this restaurant recently for the first time...why did we wait so long? It was great! We started by sharing freshly made guacamole as an appetizer. For my man entree, I had a dish I had read about but never tried, lomo saltado. It is steak marinated with soy souce and spices, stir-fried with onions and tomatos, and served with both rice and french fries. It was so good! I had a bottle of Maestria, a Columbian beer, with my meal. For dessert, we had flan and cortaditos which were excellent and the perfect ending to our meal. Just got back from dinner. The food was delicious. I had chicken rice salad and tostones. The staff was very helpful and let us change out sides. Extremely well priced. Dessert was amazing! Just be aware it contains green olives, so keep that in mind if you're salt sensitive. My favorite part of my meal were the well done plantains, which were perfectly caramelized and sweet. The flan was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to end the meal. The prices may be a bit higher than some other places, but the authentic Cuban flavors and generous portions make it money well spent. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

The ADA compliant clean bathroom was modern rustic and peach colored walls popped against the porcelain wood-like floors. The room offered a sense of warmth and relaxation. There was a poster hanging on the wall with a QR scan to entice customers to join Cuban Reward to get 3 Points for every $1 spent in the restaurant.

The service, atmosphere, and quality of the food never disappoint. This review is based on two separate visits, and both were outstanding experiences. On our first visit, we stopped in on a Friday evening and were lucky enough to grab seats at the bar. We were immediately greeted by our bartender, Matthew, whose warm and friendly personality made us feel welcome right away. He took our drink and food order, offered excellent recommendations, and introduced us to their newly launched happy hour menu. My spouse and I were genuinely excited to see that they had finally added food options to happy hour. In the past, we often skipped coming during happy hour because there weren't any food offerings, so this was something we had been hoping for. For our second visit, we specifically returned to try the new happy hour menu. Thankfully, the bar wasn't too busy, and we were able to grab seats again. Although, after posting this review, I may regret letting everyone know about this hidden gem because the bar area is small and those seats are going to become even harder to get! This time, we were greeted by Stephen, who crafted some fantastic cocktails and walked us through his recommendations from the happy hour menu. We were also warmly welcomed by the manager, Peppa, whose genuine hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. When we told her we came specifically to sample the new happy hour offerings, she shared some of her personal favorites, and every recommendation was spot on. We sampled several cocktails, including the Espresso Martini, Perfect Pear, Violeta, Guava Dream, Cucumber Twist, and Velvet Dynamite. While they were all excellent, our favorites were the Perfect Pear and the Velvet Dynamite. As for the food, the Greek Salad and Pita with Tzatziki are always must-orders for us. The Aegean Bites have also become one of our favorites. We tried both the Feta Saganaki and the Shrimp Saganaki--the feta was absolutely incredible, and the shrimp version was equally delicious for seafood lovers. The sliders were a generous portion, and my spouse thoroughly enjoyed them. My only minor criticism would be the chicken slider. The chicken had a loose, ground texture that wasn't my favorite. I think it would be even better with grilled chopped or diced chicken instead. It certainly wouldn't stop me from coming back, but it's the one item I'd probably skip next time. Needless to say, I absolutely love this restaurant, and I'm even more excited now that they offer what I think is one of the best happy hours around. A huge thank you to Matthew and Stephen for their outstanding service behind the bar, and a special shout-out to Peppa for making both of our visits so welcoming and memorable. Everyone was happy with the dish that they ordered. We ordered grilled chicken platter, Gyro platter, Kefte platter, spinach pie, hummus with pita bread and seafood Paella. A friend recommended this restaurant to me because it was close by. So I went. And now I keep returning for lunch and dinner because the food is really that delicious.
