We were looking for a place to eat that offered vegan options and found Clementine. While we almost gave up initially because of the parking situation, we were eventually able to find a spot. The restaurant itself has plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor options as well. I was particularly impressed by the menu, which has plenty of options for vegetarians and vegan diets and a great selection of salads. My husband ordered the breakfast with pancakes and it was delicious! I wouldn't necessarily call it the friendliest service I've experienced, but the food is excellent. I used to love this place until they hired this new guy who will rush you and be extremely rude around closing time. Even when there's other tables around, even when it's one minute before closing time. I don't think he understands how restaurants work. He will tell you not to go inside because the place is closed, even though you're just trying to get napkins to pack your food. I've witnessed him being rude to multiple other customers, he will rip the salt off your table, will start slamming chairs around you and give you a death stare! And even though I brought it up to the manager and to other employees, nothing has been done and he still works there. He absolutely ruined this place for me that I used to patron for over a decade. Awful move! And even worse to ignore that this is happening when you've been told multiple times. The other employees are cool, the food is decent, and the manager I thought was awesome, but they are completely ignoring this issue and it needs to be addressed . That guy needs to go! It was busy, so I assumed the food had to be good. Indoor and outdoor seating is available; parking can be difficult as there is a lot of restricted parking. Orders are placed at the cashier, who appeared completely unenthusiastic. A table number is assigned, and the food is delivered to your table. Unfortunatly the servers seemed just as disengaged as the cashier which made it feel as though no one working there was happy to be there. The overall energy of the restaurant felt negative and unwelcoming, which definitely affected the dining experience. The table we chose had not been properly wiped down and was sticky from the previous guests breakfast. We also noticed syrup on our chairs before sitting down. We asked one of the servers to clean it, which they did, but both the table and chairs were left soaking wet afterward. We ended up finding paper towels ourselves just to dry everything off. Also, both our chairs had cracks! I decided to overlook all of that and focus on enjoying the meal, especialy since the food behind the vitrine looked scrumptious. My friend ordered the lox plate and I ordered the breakfast sandwich. The onions on the lox plate were old and dry, while the salmon itself was overly oily and heavy. The portions were generous and the bagel looked fresh and appealing. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with poached eggs, cheese, and Tennessee ham served on a biscuit. Unfortunately, the biscuit was extremely dry, making each bite difficult to chew and swallow. The ham was thin and fibrous, and the sandwich was so dry and difficult to chew into that I actually chocked on my first bite. I ended up deconstructing the sandwich just to make it edible, but even then, it was difficult to enjoy. Thank goodness we ordered the chocolate chip cookies and monster cookie which were good, but at $4, nothing special. The one highlight of the meal was the lattes, which were very good and served with a proper double shot of espresso. After my doctor's appointment in Westwood, my son and I came to this quaint little cafe in Century City for some much needed lunch. Located just across the street from the Westfield mall, it's tucked away on a quiet, residential street with a lot of its clientele coming directly from the surrounding neighborhood. They serve sandwiches, salads, and breakfast-oriented egg dishes, but also have a cold case that includes items like meatloaf, salmon filets, chicken salad, etc..like an upgraded version of your local supermarket deli. They also have cute little candies, jams, honey, chocolates and shirts for sale, among other things. There's a freezer full of items like cookie dough and scones that you can take home to bake fresh in your own oven. If you would prefer to have a pastry here, they have their own pastry case full of goodies like cookies, rugelach, Apple turnovers, banana cakes, muffins, etc. We weren't really in the mood for sweets so we just got straight to the point with our sandwiches. My son got the Turkey Caliente sandwich which he loved and said was delicious, and I had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich (add avocado and roasted cherry tomatoes). We both thought the food was great and completely devoured every bite and licked the plates clean. We also shared a Caesar Salad between the both of us. Even their Tropical Iced Tea was delicious, along with the can of Passionfruit Agua Fresca my son chose from the cold case. The service is nothing special. No one was rude but they weren't really welcoming either. No one checked on us during the entire time we were there or cleared our table for the whole duration of our experience. The bathroom also needs more attention. The whole sink area was wet and I had to squeeze a bunch of times to get the last drop of soap out of the dispenser. There were also several scattered pieces of toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor. It was clear that no one had cleaned it for a while. I went to the bathroom again before leaving and it was still in the same condition. As far as parking goes, there are a couple of spaces behind the restaurant that are reserved for customers of Clementine and the pizzeria next door. I was excited to introduce a colleague to this cute restaurant this morning. She ordered a blueberry muffin and when she went to eat it found a long hair sticking out of it. She brought it back to the counter and pointed it out, asked for a replacement and was given a terse response and no apology or offer to replace it. Expiry date on bottom of container was days away. I was asked by Raul to return the product...Which I did immediately, then In front of Angel (on duty manager?), I went back to their refrigerator section to pick out another Shepherds Pie .... yet another had MOLD all over mashed potato! Was in the general area to take my grandma to lunch at one of her favorite casual spots in Westwood but failed to realize they were not open for lunch on Sundays! Quickly went on Yelp to find another option and Clementine looked like the perfect spot, though I was a little worried about finding parking and seating. My grandma had been to Clementine before to pick up baked goods years ago but had never dined in so she was excited to try somewhere new. There was some parking in the alley behind the restaurant and we were lucky enough to grab the last handicapped spot. However, it was a little difficult for her to navigate the alley to the front entrance with her walker due to the incline and poor condition of the pavement (lots of cracks/bumps). When we left, I was able to pull up to the side of the building and have her get in this way which was much easier for her. We were able to grab a two seat table inside and the employees were helpful when it came to helping us and finding a safe place for her walker. The menu had so many great choices but we both ended up getting the brisket melt special which was sooo goood! My grandma said it was one of the best sandwiches she ever had. She loved the combo of the gruyere and caramelized onions and the brisket was so juicy and tender you didnt even need the au jus it came with. I also got an arnold palmer which was made with their fresh brewed tropical iced tea and ginger limeade - so so good and not overly sweet, I hate when arnold palmers are really sweet. It was a bit pricey at $5 but that allowed for refills including a refill to go. They charge slightly less if you order a drink to go. I also got a blueberry sour cream muffin which I ate the next day for breakfast and loved it. They had so many goood looking things! We had a movie preview at AMC Century City and after looking online at the mall restaurants I remembered Clementine was nearby. Parking can be challenging but we found a space. The place has salads,sandwiches and soups with a lovely selection of baked goods. There is a large section of to go soups, quiche, pot pies,etc. Hubby ordered a bowl of tomato soup and I had the smoked turkey sandwich. The soup was in a LARGE bowl and it was so creamy,buttery and tasty that I got an order to go. Sandwich was big and I only ate half. Couldn't leave without taking some bakery items but it was near closing time and the selection was small. Bought the peanut butter cookies. They were delicious. This review is based on a work breakfast catered by Clementine. I was so psyched they offer Stumptown Coffee, one of my faves. It's full-bodied, rich, strong coffee. I exceeded my usual one cup daily intake because it's Stumptown. One extra star alone for this coffee. Gravax (Lox) platter Lox was like butter, thinly sliced, not salty Fresh dill adds such herbaceous deliciousness. I would have preferred capers to caperberries, though they added aesthetic appeal. The bagels themselves were ok, big but did not really taste fresh. I scooped out some inside like an LA cliche haha Fruit salad - great variety - grapes, apples, oranges, pears. Some grapes were mushy, so discarded Cream cheese in blocks I found puzzling. They were hard to spread. Doesn't have to be wonderful whipped cream cheese but soft enough that someone doesn't break the large plastic knife to spread the cheese. Their catering is expensive but i'm grateful for this satisfying food. Have never been to Clementine's. Have never heard of it. Clementine just catered a weekend baby shower picnic in a nearby park for 41 adults and 7 kids, on only a week's notice. The food was outstanding!!! Guests loved it! The catering staff was excellent in handling this large order. For adults, 4 different types of sandwiches were provided, including some vegetarian and vegan; plus a delicious corn-squash-green salad, perfectly ripe fruit salad, and a variety of fresh cookies, including some vegan and gluten free. I went in here to try and get brunch as it is shown on Yelp as a spot for brunch. When I got there the person at the front was rude and immediately said that they stopped serving brunch at 11. I think we got there 1130 ( since it took forever to find parking). I said, "that's weird on Yelp this place comes up as a place that sells brunch" (Keep in mind I lived in LA for four years and have never had a spot that advertises as brunch stop serving brunch at 11). She proceeded to say that they stopped serving at 11 and responded with an, "excuse me" when I asked her something in regard to the menu. Not sure what customer service they aspire to have here, but normally when someone asks if they can order breakfast and the restaurant doesn't sell breakfast after a certain time, most people answer nicely. There was no reason to catch an attitude when I just asked about getting something from the breakfast menu. The service left a sour taste in my mouth especially since I was in the area for work and just wanted to grab something before attending a college graduation nearby. The area has 0 to no parking, and we went on a weekday when most people work and it took us 4 rounds of driving to find parking. Inside it seemed mellow but very little tables, and most were booked up. This is a spot where you order and pay first then find seating. Not sure how good the food is as we didn't try to eat here given the customer service. Hopefully the staff does better. Came here on a Saturday morning at around 10am and parking was super easy to find in the lot behind. I ordered a Cafe Mocha and Blueberry Cream Cheese Muffin per the worker's recommendation. The muffin was delicious and the top layer was unreal. I wasn't a big fan of the mocha but mainly because it wasn't sweet to me but I normally like super sweet drinks. Been coming here for years and enjoyed their lunch and desserts. Saturday's they have fresh cinnamon rolls, which are pretty good. Went in today to get a couple of biscuits to go for my breakfast. I also decided to get a cinnamon roll. Well I get home to start to cook my eggs and open up the biscuits and what they gave me is not up to their standards.(picture below) So I live in Culver City, not right around the corner. I end up bringing them back and the person agreed with me that the kitchen should've never put those out. This was our first visit to Clementine, and we were genuinely excited to check it out. I went with my daughter, who is neurodivergent, and she was so proud and excited to order for herself. I let her step up to the counter ahead of me while I stayed close by in case she needed support. Unfortunately, what followed was incredibly upsetting. As soon as she approached the counter, a server abruptly told her she needed to place her order immediately because the kitchen closes half an hour before the restaurant's posted closing time. That may be their policy, but it was communicated with impatience and zero kindness. She got flustered, so I calmly asked to see a menu. The response was, "No, you need to place your order now." There was no explanation beyond that -- just pressure. She ordered a tuna sandwich and attempted to pay using Apple Pay, which can sometimes be tricky for her. She was trying her absolute best and doing a great job. Instead of offering support respectfully, another staff member came over and barked at her to "tap" the screen, speaking to her as if she were incompetent. It was humiliating for her. She turned and walked out, and once outside, she burst into tears and said, "I can never go back -- they think I'm dumb." As a parent, that was heartbreaking. I was furious. I can't comment on the food because we never had the chance to try it. What I can comment on is the complete lack of patience, compassion, and basic human decency. Kindness matters. How you treat people matters -- especially people who are doing something brave and independent. DO BETTER! read more

This is a review actually from 2 years ago, and we just visited again this past Saturday. They are actually not that easy to get to. They are directly across the road from the Century City mall. This place is always busy and they have lots of items to choose from. We ate there for brunch and had a couple of different muffins, a strawberry scone, and a chicken salad. We split everything since we were eating light. All 3 of us loved the food. They have outdoor seating and it's very relaxing sitting outside and eating. I had forgotten about this place until this last week. We parked right outside since we were going to the mall. So we went in and just checked out everything again.
