    Re-heated bread

Selling re-heated bread...again! Plus the bolios are smaller. 3 out of 6 were like this. Threw out the other ones that were too hard before the pic. Tired of this place. Never coming here again!

Review is coming! But let me just say that I (we) LOOOOVE this place! It's good to be back in CA, where AUTHENTIC, great tasting Mexican sweet bread is made fresh daily!

I got 1 of each Concha. And an empanada with Vanilla Cream. I was excited to try and I was disappointed. I did not like the taste of their concha Mexican bread. La Colmena is still my go to in North Hollywood/Sun Valley area off of Sherman Way. The Palma's concha are soft and got them straight out of the oven. But the taste and texture was not enjoyable. Kind of bummed. I was in the neighborhood and stopped by as a first timer.

A mixture of Pan Dulce and different treats, strongly recommend.

La Palma Bakery was a small hidden gem in the San Fernando Valley. Recently was able to stop by a give it a try. The Pan Dulce was so delicious and so soft. Strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good bakery to shop from and the customer service was so spot on.

    Never again

After standing for about 8 min. Finally someone who was seating eating at the tables got over the counter to help me get my order. Mind you I had been here for about 10 min waiting. I noticed he didn't sanitized or washed his hands. So I advise him if he could please wash his hands. His reaction was so disrespectful. He trow the utensils in the tray making this loud noise following by him Marching away and ignoring me. The other woman who was also there it was like there's no existence. Health and safety is an issue mostly nowadays with COVID-19 come on people get a grip and don't let your ego get in the way when a client called you out on your Higini when purchasing from your bakery!! Never again

The best pan dulce, we hit this spot up anytime we are in town. The ladies are always sweet and the bread is so soft, not dry, and they have all of the options

Overcharged my credit card by over $700.00!

The fruit tarts is probably my favorite of them all, the fruit is fresh and they're not stingy with it at all. The bread? So fluffy and great as well. They expanded from their old location to next door and it's really modern and beautiful on the inside. Very clean and they sell hot/cold coffee drinks as well! Just get there before 2pm as they barista is gone by that time. Highly recommend anyone looking for custom cakes, highly recommend anyone local, in reality , I highly recommend ANYONE to try them out. Huge shout out to the staff as well.

We picked up cake yesterday and it was the incorrect cake. They made it Tres leches and no fondant. We went in and spoke with manager that stated that the employee that took order is not in today. And refused to refund because there wasn't a contract for Fondant. We made order over the phone so obviously there wasn't a contract and we were never told that that we needed a contract for fondant in order to refund. Manager was very unprofessional because we told him that we pretty much have to pay for his employees mistake and he responded: Yes

As I waited for her to arrive from work on a blistering hot afternoon, I parked outside and watched a continuous flow of people coming in and out of the doors, taking lots of homemade goodies with them. Once my girl arrived, we walked inside and got a sense of what people were experiencing. A small establishment, with about a half dozen counter seats, you are immediately in front of a several large glass doors of fresh Mexican pastry, with several other fresh racks waiting to be stored. There are so many options to choose from, with prices ranging from 50 cents to $1.50. We decided to first order what we came for, which was the Carne Asada Torta. We spoke with the friendly gentleman at the counter who walked us through what was on the sandwiches, as well as how to grab some tongs and a plastic tray to snag some delicious treats for after lunch. While waiting for our sandwiches, my girlfriend and I grabbed several pastries and cookies for dessert. The restaurant was buzzing non-stop this Friday afternoon, with people of all ages coming in to load up on goodies for the day, and possibly the weekend. Within 10 minutes, our sandwiches were brought out to us. They looked amazing! I decided to keep all of the ingredients in tact: Carne Asada, Beans, Chili, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayonnaise, Avocado, Cheese. The bread was delicious: soft, fresh and a perfect vehicle to hold in all of the delicious ingredients. The asada is the star here. Absolutely tender, seasoned to perfection. The cheese is also top notch, with the other ingredients adding tons of flavor in each packed bite. Priced at just under $10 each, there aren't many options that compare in taste and value around. As for the pastries, my girlfriend and I shared a few cookies and pan dulce shortbreads in the car. Freshly baked, crumbling to the touch, these goodies were delicious and simple. Not too sweet, and great versions of traditional Mexican delights. The energy at this Sylmar restaurant is fast-paced, friendly and outstandingly delicious. Parking is good as there are several spots available in this strip-mall layout. No bathrooms as it is primarily a grab-and-go establishment. I'll be back to see what other affordable, homemade pastries are available to complement the next time I am craving a Carne Asada Torta from El Milagro. Check them out!
