Just discovered Flor De Lima Farms and I can't believe I hadn't found it sooner. I went in for beet juice and ended up trying a few other juices as well, all the juices were delicious. They also have sandwiches and a variety of other options that looked great! Great value for the drinks, normally other places I've played 2 -3 times more. Super friendly and nice staff! My first time here and I have mixed feelings about it. In this sweltering heat, I ordered the PROTEIN BOWL which has Scooped acai, banana, sugar-free yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, topped off with raw oats & walnuts. I had it for lunch. At the time I thought it hit the spot but then found it weird that the "yogurt" was more of a light whipped cream consistency (I was wondering if the lady put in the wrong ingredient) . Definitely not the yogurt I was expecting! Definitely not filling. So within the hour after eating I was left feeling hungry again and not satisfied. I felt the name of this bowl was misleading. Protein bowl implies something that'll keep you energized and feel fuller longer. This was an overpriced snack bowl. It came out to $13.54. I also didn't like that I was given a 50 cents credit card fee without prior notice so I could've given cash instead. It's a great spot in San Fernando showcasing healthy options with lots of ample seating inside, outside, and parking too. But maybe I'll try a different item next time. It's literally just OKAY. Mediocre food, and wayyyy overpriced. I used to come in here solely for the juices - many, many years ago - and they were great! And from what I remember: very affordable! I waited about 20 minutes for my food, then rushed out because I was in a hurry. When I went to eat, I realized they gave me the wrong order - I ordered a salad with fresh fruit and got chicken instead. Fine, since I'm not a vegetarian, but damn. I can't comprehend why it took 20 minutes to make my salad in the first place... but then to get it completely wrong to boot!? Ugh. Today, I was having lunch with a friend. Knowing she's a healthy eater, I brought her here. We each ordered a salad and I got a water (no drink for her). $28.51, plus 15% tip because they put me on the spot. Seriously!? Why are you asking for a tip when I got my salad out of a fridge, walked it to the counter, collected my own silverware, AND cleared my own table when I was done?! I'm literally tipping you to say hi and ring me up??? To add insult to injury: the chef's salad I ordered was not even good!!! The chicken was tough, and the portion was extremely skimpy... especially for the price! Such a drag because a healthy food option is soooo needed in this part of town. I would stay away from it completely. It was so unseasoned that even after i added 2 full packs of salt, it still was very lacking in flavor. The texture was also not my favorite. The second thing that I didn't like about this place was the prices of the Juices... What a delicious place! I actually found FDLF at the Burbank Farmers Market and I am so happy they are 10mins away! I came in for pressed juices (Green Hawaiian Juice & The Vampire) and ended up leaving with more than juice! Their acai bowl is delicious. The most delicious fresh tasting fruit, yummy granola and coconut shavings. Tasty acai. Overall a wonderful morning treat! It costed me about $8 which compared to other places (ubatuba I've dropped $20 on a bowl) is a wonderful deal! Their pressed juices are made fresh and can keep in your own fridge for up to 3 days. They run about $7.50/each but are worth it! They also offer little packages "fat burner" 4 pack, a "2 or 3 day cleanse" or "low sugar packs" ranging from $30-$45 bucks. Service was wonderful, was greeted at the door with a smile and the cashier was happy to explain their juice packages to me. They also have a few indoor and a few outdoor tables so you don't need to take your bowls or juice to go if you want to sit and enjoy it there. 10/10 100% recommend this. This place was closed during the pandemic and recently opened after 2+ years. I just want to say this to the owners. Your sandwitches were ALOT better before!!! Whatever changes you made are not good! For example, one of my favorite sandwitches was the 3meats sandwich. Ingredients and bite were great. I reordered it and it was as mediocre a sandwitch as you can get. Also, the juices were watered down a lot. Before they were thick and delicious.
