Im so sad my family and i found the food tasteless. I wanted to love it. The reviews make it sound great. Breakfast was bland, my husband tried chilaquiles for the first time here because i told him how good they are and how they are usually made. (Or at least my experience) they were soggy. Im not sure if they had cheese but it didnt look or taste like it. My son liked his carne well enough. The portions are skimpy and the gingerbread pig/bakery cookie had no flavor. I have driven by this place for many months. I finally decided to drop in for lunch. I had the beef flautas and was not disappointed. They taste home made and are very delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I had to come back. I returned on a Sunday with my daughter. She enjoyed the enchiladas and I had the menudo. Again, this was extremely close to homemade. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're craving AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Oh, I almost forgot, the music added to the dining experience. The prices are very reasonable. read more

Don't get the al pastor meat!!! I got the order of 4 crispy al pastor tacos it had huge chunks of fat!! I thought there was potatoes or onion pieces in the meat for some reason which not only was tough and stringy but they were not potatoes.. it was congealed chunks of fat!!! It was dripping in grease pools and every piece of meat had a huge chunk of fat on it. The flavor was fine but the texture and fat chunks really made it hard for me to get through it. I have had al pastor before and this is not it at all! I truly had higher expectations and would love to support a traditional mexican eatery but that was just beyond unpleasant. read more

We were in search of a descent michelada, yelped a few minutes and came up with this place. I'm truly surprised I've never been here. The place is designed oddly for a restaurant, there's seating toward the entrance then more through the walkway and then some in the back room. What's neat about the place is that it is filled with historical Mexican decor including some of Pancho Villa which makes for interesting conversation. Chips and salsa are on them, we ordered micheladas ($5 each) of course and they were much better than the ones I've recently tasted with a much higher clamato consistency. For the main entree we only had a milanesa Torta ($3.99) since we weren't that hungry. The torta was good but was a little to heavy on the mayo. Overall I think this place offers good food at an affordable price. The customer service was also great, I will definitely be back. read more

Going back for more! This is the second time that I have ordered carryout from this restaurant and it simply does not disappoint. Their chili rellenos are delicious, fresh ingredients and the pork green chili is flavorful with added tomatillo and medium spice; I also had an Asada taco, the meat was perfectly seasoned wrapped in two fresh homemade corn tortillas and a cilantro Pico topping; I finished with a Bavarian filled churro; also very yummy! First, La Panda this is NOT a bakery. No baked goods for sale. They do sell wonderful Mexican baked goods at their shop on Ken Pratt Blvd. Food here is always good. Sometimes incredible. Nice breakfast items. Salsa bar can be hit or miss, but the main table salsa they serve is very good. Staff very friendly. Clean bathrooms. If you order Nachos, get the medium. It's huge! Went for a Sunday Breakfast...Huevos Con Chorizo was a tasty dish...chorizo mixed in with scrambled eggs, fresh cut potato wedges and refried beans and tortilla. The great thing about this dish was that it was served HOT, not warm like many places. The comlimentary chips and salsa were excellent in that the salsa was spicy...not the bland stuff you get at the "Mexican" chains. Service was fast and friendly. Decent food. I had two carne asada tacos, one chicharon taco, and a carne asada gordita . The meat was tender and flavorful. The tortillas were muy authentico fresh made corn tortillas. I liked that they give you two tortillas per taco. That way you can fill them up with salsa, onions, and cilantro and don't have to worry about a soggy tortilla. They had a decent salsa bar as well. My son and I were the only gringo's in the place which can be a good sign that you are in proximity to some good authentic food.. One complaint was that we had to wait a while for refills and the check. There was only one lady covering all of the tables and she was working her butt off but slow to service our table. read more

My husband and I sincerely enjoy eating at La Panda. It is a bit of a "hole in the wall" looking place from the outside, but the inside is all wood and very cabin-esque. The prices here can't be beat, the service is consistently excellent, and the food is delicious. The food always comes out fast and the portions are generous. The margaritas are fully loaded, and they also keep better (later) hours than a majority of the Mexican restaurants in the area. Some of the best Mexican food in Longmont. Good service. Nice people. Food is very good -- breakfast, lunch or dinner. Legit micheladas. Chips can be too greasy and the salsas from the salsa bar are not fresh, nor very good. Could use an upgrade there. Fajitas are wonderful. Guacamole is made fresh. Prices are very reasonable. The reason for my 2 star is because the tip I left on my credit card was altered to reflect $5 additional which I did not approve. I was notified by my credit card company that it appears I left a "very generous" tip and when I went back to look at my records, I noticed the tip was altered. A friend and I tried La Panda for the first time yesterday and it was very good! We went with their special, which was an enchilada and chili relleno, rice and beans. It was ready in no time, was hot, spicy and flavorful, and the waitress was nice. The price was under $6...who could ask for more? While waiting, we checked out the decor...scorpion clock, mounted calf head (huh??) and pictures of Mexican cowboys along with Pancho Villa wanted posters. Hadn't been here in a while but we were on a michelada quest and decided to stop in. The michelada was great and only $6.00. We stopped going to 3 margaritas since they have gradually increased their prices and now micheladas are $11.00!! That's ridiculous! This place is very affordable. My husband loves the tortas and my tacos were really good. I love the salsa bar but what is really disappointing is their chips are awful. I can't tell you how much this bums me out. They are thick, greasy and hard. It's such a shame because I would love to enjoy the salsa bar but with chips that are hardly edible, it's not possible. I really wish they would correct this! I would give them 5 stars if they would fix something so basic and easy. Despite having a little older decor the place is neat, tidy and clean. Try their Coctel de Camarones for something different! Loads of big shrimp in a cold and spicy tomato juice soup, with lots of cilantro, avocado, and jalepenos. Try a couple of chicken tacos with only onions and cilantro for lunch with a Mexican Coca Cola to chase it down (or a Pacifico with a lime)! Great tamales. Very cheap. More authentic and not New Mexico style food. I have been eating here for about 15 years, and the second generation family is now running the place and doing a great job. I love it when there is such a diverse clientele and everyone is happily eating, drinking, and enjoying a great meal. read more
