Okay I went for one thing only, menudo. It was finished yesterday and I prefer when the flavors have mingled overnight. Todays was fantastic with pigs feet and plenty of corn and tripe. The broth was full bodied and well cooked. If you like menudo, try this one. I almost bought a bowl to go but apparently they serve it daily. My husband and I had a good lunch at Las Palmeras. All of the staff members we interacted with were really friendly and helpful. It was casual and clean. I ordered nachos supreme and a house salad. I ate them together because the base of the salad was basically the shredded lettuce that you might normally see as a topping rather than in salad. My husband had their steak fajitas. Las Palmeras is a forever go to in Longmont CO. The staff is always on point and are friendly and accommodating. Everything I have ever tried on the menu is good but their standout dish is their Menudo. I grew up in New Mexico and truly enjoy a good Menudo however Menudo is not the easiest to find here in the Denver area. The Menudo has lots of very tender tripe a just spicy enough broth and plenty of flavor. It is just absolutely yummers! We came here because of all the positive reviews. My husband has celiac and he's always been able to find a dish or two that's gluten free in most restaurants, but not here!! The waitress seemed put out that we asked and then suggested enchiladas with no sauce (?!) or just corn tortillas. The place seemed old and tired. Celiacs should instead go to Teocalli, right around the corner. The entire menu is gluten free. read more

Excellent visit. Friendly service and Friday $3 House Margs. Chips and salsa complimentary. Salsa very fresh tasty and not overly spicy. Friday is also Carnitas night and it was some of the best we have ever had. Very healthy plate of pork and included beans, lettuce tomato and guacamole, as well as three fresh warm, and tasty tortillas. Rice and a bit of sour cream on the plate would be a nice adder. Happy hour is Mon-Thur but unsure what is offered. We will return to check this out. read more

Best breakfast burritos in all of Longmont (and beyond, quite frankly)! I've been getting their chorizo BBs for over a decade now and they're always so packed with flavor. Came here for the first time last night. Ordered takeout online via their website. Very easy ordering with a order tracker tab to see where in the process your order is. When I got there it wasn't very busy (probably because of the icy conditions) but the place smelled great and was very clean. Atmosphere seemed nice if dinning in. Only had to wait a minute or two on my order. Was packaged very nicely. When I got home it looked fantastic. After heating it up in the oven at 170 degrees for ten minutes or so (took awhile to drive home with traffic and icy roads) and finally sitting down to eat it I was very satisfied with all items. I got the combo #8. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I am a spicy fan and thought the green chili could have a bit more of a kick or have them offer a spicer option when ordering. After seeing a few suggestions online we decided to check out Las Palmeras as it seems to be a local favorite. We showed up at 7:15 about 45 min before closing which I'm always apprehensive about mostly because of my own background in the service industry but they sat us right away without a hint of the idea they were closing soon. They were already relatively busy and had 2-3 tables come in after us that I noticed. The service was quick and the table salsa was the best tasting free salsa I can remember trying in awhile. It was thin but had a nice punch of heat. We got a burrito and enchiladas. The food came out fast and hot with no complaints from either of us. Even though it was late and they were busy we were probably in and out in 30 minutes. Really great service and I look forward to going back when we have more time to relax and try something else maybe with a margarita or something. read more

I don't recommend this business because not only was the service indifferent, I got violently ill soon after my dinner there. I was the only one who had a mango margarita and chicken enchiladas, no one else got sick in my party. So I assume the culprit was one of those items. I had 2 margaritas, which is definitely more than usual but didn't even leave with a buzz. There was no alcohol in the second one. The ambiance was typical of cheaper Mexican restaurants, which would be forgivable if the food and service was good. This place was touted as "The best Mexican comfort food in Northern Colorado" by a local radio station. Not by a long shot! Very disappointing! Won't be returning. read more
