I live in DC and make a special effort every time I'm in Colorado to get to Las Palmeras on Friday for the carnitas special. It's fabulous, as is all of their food. Reasonably priced, super friendly service and the nicest owner around! My dad is a regular and it feels like you'd become one after just a couple of visits. Highly highly recommended. read more

Okay I went for one thing only, menudo. It was finished yesterday and I prefer when the flavors have mingled overnight. Todays was fantastic with pigs feet and plenty of corn and tripe. The broth was full bodied and well cooked. If you like menudo, try this one. I almost bought a bowl to go but apparently they serve it daily. Julie was a great waitress, thank you for the smiling face and expertise service. I asked for a sample, no problem. I ordered the bowl. read more

My absolute favorite street tacos! We go to Las Palmeras regularly and they are the friendliest, most welcoming restaurant. Their food is good across the board and never disappoints. Their menu is large and their prices are more than competitive! I don't know how "authentic" it is, but I know it is good and there is always a crowd! My husband and I had a good lunch at Las Palmeras. All of the staff members we interacted with were really friendly and helpful. It was casual and clean. I ordered nachos supreme and a house salad. I ate them together because the base of the salad was basically the shredded lettuce that you might normally see as a topping rather than in salad. My husband had their steak fajitas. The food was good, and we got complimentary chips and salsa when we got there, which was also delicious. read more

Las Palmeras is a forever go to in Longmont CO. The staff is always on point and are friendly and accommodating. Everything I have ever tried on the menu is good but their standout dish is their Menudo. I grew up in New Mexico and truly enjoy a good Menudo however Menudo is not the easiest to find here in the Denver area. The Menudo has lots of very tender tripe a just spicy enough broth and plenty of flavor. It is just absolutely yummers! If your in the mood for some good Mexican food you definitely need to check out Las Palmeras. read more

Food was awesome. We had taco salad (with ground beef), chili rellenos, enchiladas. My husband said it's the best salsa he's had for ages. Home cooked tortilla chips were great. Ended with a really tasty sopapilla. Service was excellent, very pleasant waiter. Pleasant atmosphere and cleanly environment. Will definitely be going back again soon! read more

We came here because of all the positive reviews. My husband has celiac and he's always been able to find a dish or two that's gluten free in most restaurants, but not here!! The waitress seemed put out that we asked and then suggested enchiladas with no sauce (?!) or just corn tortillas. The place seemed old and tired. Celiacs should instead go to Teocalli, right around the corner. The entire menu is gluten free. read more

I have been here multiple times. When we arrived it was a little on the busy side. Our waiter was very friendly and made some jokes which made us feel welcomed. He also suggested a few alcoholic drinks. Our food didn't take long the staff was all wearing masks and gloves they were wiping down the tables and seats. The tables were 6 ft or more apart. When the food came out it came out warm and all together the waiter was on top of bringing the drinks out (refills). The food tasted good the only thing that was off was the oysters they didn't taste fresh. Our waiter did give us a discount for the inconvenience. read more

Excellent visit. Friendly service and Friday $3 House Margs. Chips and salsa complimentary. Salsa very fresh tasty and not overly spicy. Friday is also Carnitas night and it was some of the best we have ever had. Very healthy plate of pork and included beans, lettuce tomato and guacamole, as well as three fresh warm, and tasty tortillas. Rice and a bit of sour cream on the plate would be a nice adder. Happy hour is Mon-Thur but unsure what is offered. We will return to check this out. read more

Best breakfast burritos in all of Longmont (and beyond, quite frankly)! I've been getting their chorizo BBs for over a decade now and they're always so packed with flavor. Holy cow! I'm recently back in Colorado and craving green chili. I came across this place, driving around, looking for something to eat. The food was great, but the service even BETTER! We experienced great service at Las Palmeras. Came here after a round of golf for dinner and left full and happy. Margs were what you expect from a Mexican restaurant, but they have a lot of great options. The fajitas with steak + shrimp were everything you'd hope for, a great portion, quality protein, and I always appreciate being given extra toppings with my fajitas . Also tried a tamale al a carte and it was so good. I love green chili and theirs did not miss the mark. Ended our meal with fried ice cream because why not? Omg why O' why has this place not gotten a higher star value. I'm super picky about mexican food. The food here took me back to the first time I had true mexican. I can't say that about that about any other mexican place! This place is the best walking in there is not much to it or is that the point all the efforts when into the food which is the best I have ever had in a restaurant. My first time was when I was 8 years old working in the fields and some of the mexican field hands. One invited me and the others working over to his place that he was live at the time for dinner the last day of the season. His wife Belin cooked amazing outdoor "banquet" all 20 of us. Ever since that day i have been hunting for that amazing food today i have found it again here! If you like amazing mexican food this is for you but if you like boring spicless mexican I weep for you. read more

Carne Asada was a little over cooked but still was good. The house margs were lacking tequila and were $6 each, and we found an errant french fry in our basket of chips. Waitress was friendly and attentive, food and drinks come out quickly. I'd say this place is just OK. read more

Was introduced to Las Palmeras 8 years ago when it was at the Northern end of Longmont and have become a regular. Great Mexican food at reasonable prices. The most extensive menu of any Mexican restaurant I have ever seen. Good service. Family friendly. read more

I am a bit of an enchilada snob. Enchiladas are my absolute favorite thing to eat. This place has them down (main st location). Best enchiladas in Boulder County, in my opinion. Great service as well. read more

The server was good, she was attentive and pleasant. The place was clean, prices were reasonable, service was good as well as the food. Would I go back ? I might go back if the planets align but I wouldn't make a special trip. My only real letdowns were the shortage of pico and they don't offer free chips and salsa. I've come to expect and appreciate Mexican restaurants who still offer free chips and salsa.
