You know, this place is pretty decent for lunch. I'm not going to knock it at all because it's good, the prices are fair, and the people are good. It's for sure normal stuff you would find, the taco loco is a taco salad that comes in what would best be called a large taco shell (not like a normal taco salad which come fried round this looks like a giant taco). It's good, needs to have salsa added to it to make it better. Service is good, they are so nice and really attentive. This is what will make me come back for sure, they make it worth coming here. The place is clean, open area, and lots of tables and booths with a bar. I usually don't make negative reviews but I need to here. Sat at the bar for a late lunch. Ordered a marg and a soda water. Ordered food, ate. The check comes and there is a $3 charge for the soda water. I asked the bartender and he told me they charge for soda water. He might have mentioned that when I ordered it. Chips & salsa are free but not the water. I've never gone anywhere and been charged for soda water. Also I had 2 different prices on the same two margaritas I ordered. I placed an order on their website and waited for my acknowledgement of the order. After 10 minutes I never received anything, so I called the restaurant and spoke to Cody. He said they never received the order. I told him my card had already been debited and he said to wait 5-7 business days then call corporate. He certainly wasn't going to go out of his way to find out why they hadn't gotten the order, after finding out my card had been charged. The sad thing is I love their food. But they need to take a look at the company they use for online orders and their customer service. Someone should have been trying to find out why they didn't get the online order. read more

My family and I came in two weeks ago on a Sunday and the food, service, and atmosphere was so nice that we've made it a Sunday tradition now. Both times we've gone this month have been wonderful. The waitresses we've had have been very attentive, they kept our drinks full, and made sure our orders came out to our liking. I'm a picky eater, so usually when I order something with just meat and cheese restaurants tend to ignore that the first go around. I've ordered modified plates both times and they came out exactly as I asked for them. I also really enjoy that they text you when your table is ready when there is a wait so that you can shop around outside if time permits. We'll continue to be customers here! read more

Go go ! We started with chips and queso before we ordered. It was all very good including the salsa. My husband had the taco lunch plate with the rice and beans which he thought was really good. I ordered the chicken breast with a sauce rice and beans . All of our food was served hot fresh . Our waitress checked on us often, freshen our iced teas replaced our chips and brought us our food and our check promptly through the whole experience. We were part of the lunchtime crowd. The restaurant was very busy but still provided very very good service and a quick lunch. . The decoration is upscale, Mexican decor. There's a patio seating and also handicap access. My partner & I went to Blue Ridge and on the way back home we decided to stop by this spot since we are big fans of La Parrilla and have visited other locations. The way was longer than usual since they were short in staff as we were advised. Our waitress was Joselyn who was very attentive, professional and friendly. We ordered the "La Parrilla Dip" that usually comes with lots of cheese but this time it wasn't as filled with it. We told Joselyn and she took it back to add more cheese, the manager Robby brought it back to us & it was just as we usually get it. I ordered my favorite "Burrito Cubano" & it was good, my partner ordered the "Burrito con todo" & he stated was good too. Our Guava margaritas were refreshing and filled with Guava flavor as we like it. The manager Robby was super friendly with us, attentive and made our visit very pleasant. The restaurant was packed, the music wasn't too loud which it was nice, the decor looked very cool as some of the other locations we've been to. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in my area. The food tastes fresh, service is great and restaurant is very clean. I usually don't eat very much of my beans and rice that come with my meal, but at La Parrilla, I eat every bite. Not sure why theirs is so much better. We went in for lunch and had the chicken fajitas and a lunch burrito special. The lunch burrito was only $9.99 and it included a soft drink. Wish they had some other selections for the $9.99 lunch special, but it was only the burrito for that price. The restaurant filled up pretty quickly by 12:30 with the lunch rush but food was coming out really quick. Will definitely be back soon to try dinner. read more

A good representation of the franchise. I ordered the Steak Veracruz as I really like its distinctive seasoning. It was a good piece of meat and nicely cooked and didn't disappoint. My wife had the shredded chicken bowl and enjoyed the flavors, but found the rice ratio too high. The complimentary tortilla chips were nice and fresh and of a thin variety that makes them fragile. But service was good, and when you got to the second half of the basket that was only tiny broken bits, they promptly brought us a fresh basket. The salsa was tasty, but considerably spicier than other restaurants, so I supplemented with the queso. Our soft drinks were generous in size and we had no trouble getting refills and my wife particularly found their flavor good. The interior was very noisy on this busy Friday evening, so conversation was a challenge. The seating was comfortable and plentiful and we didn't have a long wait despite the busy hour. About a dozen small tables are also available on an uncovered patio. read more

So choose wisely my friends you won't be sorry with any of your selections. Start with scanning the QRC code on the table to gain access to the cocktail menu. Frozen or over ice these drinks are guarantee to give you " brain freeze." The food arrives to your table hot and in large portions. The flavors are even better than you can imagine. The glaze on the mango chicken is spot on. The chicken & shrimp fajita have large potions of meat & seafood with sour cream, cheese, tomato, and lettuce. If you can make it through the meal there is dessert on the other side of your dinning experience. Sadly I didn't get that far but I'm sure going to try next go around. Not sure what to make of that. This time the service was above average and the food was very tasty and hot. Service was very good. Water glasses were always full and very attentive. Similar to my Taco Mac review in this area (same strip mall to be exact)- in general, nice staff & experiences just very inconsistent. Service always goes a long way for me. I've typically had pretty good servers & experiences, but there are those occasional visits where the service and/or food stink. I usually stick to something like chicken enchiladas or chicken tacos and an appetizer which tend to be easy, but the quality is different each trip. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it's meh. I understand stuff happens in a rush but there's also no reason a friend at my table should find a chicken bone in her taco. Like I said, I understand completely how chaotic things get in rush and service counts a lot in my book, I just wish this place was more consistent. Typical to the area, they can get slammed and that's going to reflect in wait times & quality. It was ok. The chips are really thin and hard to eat the guacamole with. Speaking of which, the tableside preparation was worthy and that was probably the best part of the whole meal. Our server made it perfect! I asked for a spicy salsa and our server delivered. It was a smoky creamy chipotle type. It was flavorful but really salty. I'd ask for it again if I come back. The shrimp fajita rice was my entree. The rice and vegetables was really mushy, as if it had sat for a bit. That texture was weird and a little off putting. The shrimp were also overcooked and rubbery. The have excellent queso, which was poured on the dish to the side. I would order just a side of that with the jalapenos. This restaurant probably has some excellent food if you know what to order. I took a recommendation that just turned out average. I'd more than likely come back. read more
