I had the opportunity to stop by La Parrilla yesterday and the food was amazing! Miss Cheal's service was amazing as well!

We arrived as they were opening and the staff was warm and welcoming. The place is clean and nicely decorated. We ordered the Texas Fajitas and split them. The shrimp, steak and chicken were perfectly cooked and plenty for the two of us. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was just okay. Usually, LaParilla is pretty consistent across the different locations. On this occasion, it was just okay. Drinks were weak. Prefer the Fayetteville or McDonough locations. Host at the door was NOT welcoming at all. Once he finally got us seated, he had the young lady attempt to seat us to the back of the restaurant next to the restrooms passing lots of empty tables. Every time we come here we order Cheese dip, and it's so good that the kids almost eat all of it before we get our share. We frequent here so it's better to show up earlier because wait times can be about 30 minutes because it's a popular. I place an order for pick up last week, after getting off from work I drove 10 miles away from home, to pick up the take out dinner for my family. When I got home there were a few items that were missing in my order so I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager, to let him know what I was missing on my order. He apologized and told me, no worries, he will bring the missing items to my house, so I did not have to drove back 10 miles away. That's really excellent customer service!! La Parrilla is easily one of the busiest spots in Newnan on any given night, so be prepared for a wait! I have been to La Parilla's all around Metro Atlanta, so when one finally landed in Newnan, I was happy to see it. This location sits in the heart of Ashley Park, near the theater and Olive Garden. Parking is ample given its location in a shared space, so no issue there. The restaurant itself is decent size, and even with all those tables, the place stays filled up! Our recent visit found us here on a Thursday evening around 7:30 PM. We had to wait around 15 minutes, which was no issue. They have benches right outside or if you are lucky enough to grab an open seat at the bar, a margarita makes the wait go by a bit quicker. Once we were sat, it took about 8 minutes for our server to come our way. While this was a bit of a wait, we could see that she was hustling, so we gave her a bit of grace. She was super friendly and sweet during our dinner, so no issues with her doing here thing, even with a bit of delay on several things throughout the meal. For our meal, we got a few standards such as queso to start, a combination dinner and a chicken quesadilla. All were decent and as expected. No complaints there either. Chips, always light and crispy, salsa always fresh, and cheese dip consistently good. I always get the Charro beans instead of mexi-beans (refried), that's your pro tip for reading this far. Go to is the Burrito La Parilla - steak. I've heard the southern fried chicken tacos are elite - from a trusted source - but I've never ordered them. I would also recommend the ground beef soft shell taco. It's basic, but if you measure a French bistro by their roast chicken, you measure a Mexican place by their ground beef taco.... Servers are usually pretty good, since they turn over tables here they should attract better quality employees. We recently visited this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday. It was very busy, and like most place nowadays, slightly short staffed. Even being short staffed we only had a 45 minute wait. It was 45 minutes almost to the minute too. The staff was very friendly. There was one hiccup, but it was addressed and fixed right away without any issues. The food was magnificent. Everything looked and smelled delicious. The portions were pretty big as well. Normally I can finish off a taco salad or bowl. Not the case here. I only got about half done. Everyone had Togo boxes. There's not much space to wait inside for your table. So you'll more and likely be waiting outside or in your car. You'll receive a text when your table is ready. The only other complaint I would have is the size of the table in the booth. With 5 people we barely had room for the food. If 2 of us wouldn't have gotten bowls we probably wouldn't have had space. read more

Came here a month ago and couldn't wait to get back but our experience tonight wasn't so great. 1st we were placed in the corner by the bathrooms which totally takes away from the ambiance of the restaurant. Then, the queso came out before the chips and the server didn't even notice, an extra taco came out to the table and was taken back I'm pretty sure it not supposed to resale an item that has hit the table. My food came out cold and instead of warming it for me the server got a manager which idk maybe it's a procedure but it wasn't necessary not to mention the food didn't look any better when it was brought back. I was just not pleased. My son didn't even finish his rice & beans which is unheard of. But they weren't hot either. Maybe Tuesday isn't the night bc of volume. Too many screaming kids as well. We had a great experience last night at La Parrilla. The wait time was short at about 7pm. We had a person in our group that uses a wheelchair and advised Melissa the hostess and the staff immediately got busy getting a table prepared for us and had the menus waiting for us at the seats. We had Megan as our server and she was also great. Our beverages were never empty before we were asked if we wanted refills. The ordering process was easy and Megan was able to answer the few questions that we had and made a recommendation as well. She is an excellent server. The food was fantastic! The five people in our group all enjoyed the meal. We had a nice variety of food and the table side guacamole was super yummy too. The chips and salsa never ran out. La Parilla don't owe me anything. I had a taste for a Guava Maragarita Frozen and decided to visit this location because I needed to go somewhere else in Newnan as well. The whole set up of the restaurant is nice starting with outside. It was a beautiful day and although we had a 10 minute wait time it didn't matter. They have plenty of benches outside and nice scenery for you to enjoy while waiting. We were seated towards the back away from the bar. Our server was especially nice and patient and answered our questions. I ordered the cheese dip as I always do. It was nice and hot and delicious as always. Next I couldn't wait to order my frozen margarita. She brought them out and let me tell you one thing. I have been to several locations and their food and drinks are always consistent no matter which location you dine. What I did not like was how they slid the gratuity into the bill and then, for my convenience, included a tip guide on the same check. So, because I didn't read every line item on our check I paid a generous tip on top of the gratuity they already offered themselves. Dang..... I don't like that so you get 2 stars La Parilla. The food here is delicious. I frequent the establishment on any side of town. This location is my least favorite. I order fajitas and la Parrilla dip frequently to go, but they always charge me for extra tortillas. When I dine in I get as many tortillas as I need no extra charge, so why are you charging me when I order to go. Also, I get a kid meal burrito which comes with a drink. My child never receives the drink. We eat at La Parrilla on average 3 weekends a month and she never receives her drink but they charge me for extra tortillas. Despite it all the wide array of food leaves me wanting to return every time. From fajitas to the fish and back to the wings I can't find one item on the menu that doesn't entice my appetite. read more

Didn't disappoint. Good as the other LA Parilla locations. I ordered the queso because theirs stay creamy and hot for a while. The cheese doesn't harden. The chips are thin and crispy which is great for dipping in the salsa and the queso. I ordered a small frozen mango margarita which was awesome. I ordered the del Mar enchilada which came with rice, beans and slaw. It was very good. My daughter got her regular which is the number 6 with hard tacos. Food came quickly and hot. They have a good set up during Covid. Seats were distanced every couple of tables or booths. There weren't a lot of people so that worked for us. The server was quite nice and checked on us often. Overall a good Mexican restaurant chain as they are consistent with all their locations. Definitively going back to this location ifI'm in the nood fur TexMex food. read more
