One of the best steak burritos ive ever had! loaded with lettuce, beans, onion, and cilantro.. it had so much flavor and the meat was cooked perfect. I also wanted to try the al pastor taco. IT was marinated perfectly. They have a delicious toppings bar with pickled veggies and jalapenos and different salsas. I would recommend they add a red salsa to their toppings bar. This will solve your craving for Mexican food. I just wish they had more inside seating. it's rather limited inside and it's a no frills restaurant. No table service, order at the counter, pick it up when you name is called. Would like to see vegetarian options on the menu (bean/vegetable taco would be a good idea). Pricing is fair and the parking lot will accommodate quite a bit of traffic. They do offer drive through service. I went with a friend and found that the food portions were larger than average. They have Huevos Rancheros all day long, how good is that? The also have a salsa bar so you can customize how you like it, from mild to burning hot. This has been around forever! Been plenty of times through the drive thru but never inside. There is no curb appeal here, just a small building selling great food. Their menu is simple but carries everything you'd want from a Mexican joint. You got your tacos, burritos, tostadas, tortas, quesadillas and more. The protein choices are beef, pork, chicken, chorizo, and shrimp. They also serve breakfast so there are egg options. Inside is very small. Equipped with about 4 or 5 tables. A simple counter to place orders and watch as your orders are being made. They have a table set aside just for all their sauces and toppings. Ranging from cilantro, onions, pico de gallo, jalapenos, and sauces from a salsa to mild, and hot. You know I'm a sauce girl so I got a little of everything. Their hot sauce and jalapenos with onions are my favorite. Their both real spicy but have so much flavor that adds to your order. They have actually received an award for their burritos so this was a must order. I went with the lengua (yep, that means tongue) burrito. It was so stuffed and freaking huge. That didn't stop me from devouring the Whole damn thing (with breaks in between..lol). Bae got the steak burrito and enjoyed it so much he forgot to give me a bite. For me, a trip to Homestead isn't complete without trying a new Mexican haunt. A local recommended La Pasadita, so we decided to give it a try. It has a no-frills, grimy kind of feel that reminds me of similar places in San Francisco. I took it as a good sign! I ordered three tacos (carnitas, al pastor, and lengua), while my husband got a carnitas burrito. We both got Mexican sodas to slurp while we waited. I wish they had tortilla chips to pair with their delicious salsa bar, but all the more room to chow down on the important stuff. Our food took about ten minutes to make. I really enjoyed my tacos, especially when dressed up with the different types of salsa, fresh peppers, onions, and cilantro. I couldn't decide which was my favorite! My husband's burrito also hit the spot. To be honest, I was a little jealous once I took a bite. There's a drive thru around the side which is nice, but since the food is prepared fresh, don't expect Taco Bell speed. They have a drive thru, which is pretty unique for a small mom and pop store, and they are much quicker than your traditional fast food chains. La Pasadita is a real hole in the wall in Homestead. It's small, with just a few tables. When we arrived at Noon it was empty inside but when we left it was really busy. I have never seen a Mexican restaurant drive through, but there were plenty of people using it. I don't mind dives if the food is really good, but the merit of the food at La Pasadita did not justify the "diviness" for me. My coworker and I shared some shortrib quesadillas. They were just okay for me. I ordered a taco platter with three different types of tacos: Carnita, Piollo, Al Pastor. The tacos. were pretty tasty but the fillings could have been a bit warmer. This place is the BOMB for real authentic tacos. They are fresh with great flavor. You get to pick your tortilla (flour or corn) and what you want inside your tacos. I usually get the chicken tacos (3) and add the ingredients I want. The place is small but you can either call ahead and pick it up, or go up to their drive thru and even just eat inside. Glad to find this little gem in Homestead, on my crazy quest to get my Mexi-Can badge. Based on previous reviews, I expected a divey place, but this restaurant is actually in its own stand alone building with spacious parking lot, with tables and counter to sit at. There is little decoration and the furniture looks worn, but cramped it's not. There are two coolers filled with (to me) very foreign and interesting drinks. Sodas with flavors like apple, banana and grapefruit, and non alcoholic sangria. The al pastor trompo rotisserie is visible in the kitchen. They have a hot bar serving pre-made dishes, different types of stew, roasted chicken, etc., and on the other side is a condiment bar. I love their condiment bar, with 10 toppings for your tacos: various types of hot sauces, pickled onion, diced onion, sliced radish, pico de gallo, cilantro, and chiles. It's the first time I see radish used, but I find out that it adds a nice, cool crunch to the tacos. There tacos are $2 each, and I ordered my favorite, lengua, as well as al pastor and chicharron. They are quite generous with the meat, and with all the toppings (how can you not overload it with 10 toppings?) it becomes a huge taco. There is a lady pressing tortillas behind the counter, one by one, big thumbs up for that. I find the tortilla a bit on the thick side and too much of a dough flavor, but otherwise, very satisfying. I expect the chicharron to be some crispy rind, but it's soft, stewed in some green sauce. Succulent, fatty, slightly gelatinous... I know some of you may find it disguising, but it's new found love for me. read more

The food is fantastic!!! The green sauce, salsa, tacos & burritos were Awesome! I don't know how long they've been there but it is a little hidden gem of a place. Prices are decent too and the staff was very nice and it was great to see them adhering and enforcing to the 6 feet apart rule for patrons. I have to say, some patrons walked out and cancelled their orders because of them enforcing the rules and that was sad to me that the staff got yelled at for doing so. I will definitely be back, both cashiers were sweethearts and prices were reasonable, worth it! There's indoor and outdoor sitting which is great because inside it's so tight!
