I am from Arizona and eat Mexican food ALL the time...this place has absolutely delicious food. The corn in the tortillas are so finely ground I thought they were flour! I had the machca and eggs and asked for mild sauce instead. I can't say enough about the flavor. It was my first time trying Cuban coffee, too! Yummm!!!

Food is good but the portions are tiny I feel like I got some food off the kids menu like rice and beans are cheap why give like 4 spoons of rice lol my hand is there to show the size of the plate it is tiny glad I wasn't too crazy hungry cause this wouldn't fill me up if I was salsa is great and chips are good but not fresh tortillas are freshly made but also made previously and not fully hot when they came out

So on Saturday on my way to work I was talking to my friend Betty and she recommended to come here. That it's one of her favorite authentic Mexican restaurant. So BF and I went on Sunday. We were very happy with our meal. We didn't try much we loved what we got. He got the enchiladas and I got the flautas and they were both so yummy. We also tried the Al pastor and chicken tacos. Can't wait to go again and try more. So I you are in the mood for Mexican and willing to drive to homestead check them out.

After a day in the Everglades, I was craving Tex-Mex and settled on Los Aztecas after calling to confirm that they had free chips & salsa (they do). The restaurant is located in a strip mall on the main drag (9336) that leads to local spots like Robert is Here & the previously mentioned Everglades. The interior was pretty basic Mexican restaurant-themed. Service was slow (there were only 2 servers & the restaurant was pretty busy) but the food was good and reasonably priced. However, the portions are kinda small. Also, I found it humorous that there was a sign in the dining area telling parents to keep their kids at their table, yet there were patrons' kids running around everywhere screaming and playing

I've never had a tamale before, never been inspired to have one, corny things just don't appeal to me growing up on a diet of potatoes being an Irish lass. Had one today though and it was very nummy, and I wager, more authentic than any I will ever have after. Roberto was feeling adventurous as we pulled up here today and willing to go head on in and take it for what it was. I said, "let's check it on Yelp first"..and who did we pull up? one trusty review from a good friend Patrick L and a pic from Rony M. Good recommendations. It had a fair smattering of groups of families in there already so that was a good sign. Fancy it ain't, but we didn't see any ants like Patrick experienced. We got our chips and salsa and yes, they were good chips and fresh fresh salsa. I didn't know what I wanted, I wasn't starving, but I knew I didn't want a whole pile of rice and beans to be dealing with, then I turned the page and saw a bunch of combos. Opted for the first one, a taco, flauta and a tamale. $3 for a corona...yes please!!! Everything came out fast, hot and FRESH!! OMG the tomatoes looked like they had JUST been chopped. Why does everything seem so much fresher in the Redlands? Oh because it's GROWN there and then picked green and shipped to mid-Florida and held for a load of days before being shipped back to Miami for re-sale in your local grocery Publix or Winn Dixie. Here they skip that middle man and it's direct to table. The entire check with my combo plate (which was dinner for me), Roberto's Menudo and a quesadilla, bottle of water and two Corona's ....a paltry $24. I loved my first tamale!

YES this was our lunch..just as we got it. Even the beans are low. Not worth the 7.00 bucks and 13.00 bucks.

The restaurant was very loud. The food was not on point. The service needs to improve.

The place was busy, with a steady flow of people coming and going, which is usually a good sign. Once inside, we were greeted right away and the service was incredibly friendly and fast throughout our visit. The atmosphere had the familiar feel of a traditional Mexican restaurant, but with a genuine family owned, mom & pop charm that made it feel welcoming and authentic. I ordered the Mexican steak with jalapeños, while my fiancée went with the flautas. Both dishes were excellent and fresh, flavorful, and well seasoned without being overdone. The steak was cooked just right and had plenty of flavor. My fiancée especially loved the yellow rice and kept talking about it long after we left. Overall, this was one of those unexpected finds that turns into a place you'll want to come back to. Great food, friendly people, and a welcoming atmosphere. It would be worth the hour drive back here from fort lauderdale. We'll definitely be returning.

I would describe the restaurant as 'casual mexican'. Ample seating inside, clean and with festive decor. The food was good. We started with a 'Queso Fundido' appetizer which we added Mexican Chorizo to. The family gobbled it up before I could take pics! Chips and Salsa kept coming out as needed at no charge. They had a pretty good selection of popular Mexican beers: Modelo on tap, Corona & Dos Equis in bottles. They serve Margaritas (maybe wine-based liquor) but my wife said it was good. The food selection is very good and everyone liked what they ordered. Lots of Enchiladas, Taquitos, Salad options as well as Tacos, Burritos, Chimichangas, etc... I had the Chile Relleno (which they offer stuffed with cheese, chicken or beef. It was good. We discussed not orser dessert. Food was good. Prices were reasonable $15-$20/entree and Service was Excellent! Our waiter came by often to check on us and everything we requested came out quickly. Good experience. I would recommend!

The waitress told us to sit wherever we wanted to. She brought us a basket of chips and salsa. I ordered the Trio Trepa. I wanted it with shrimp, but the waitress said they can't do shrimp for it. So I did it with chicken instead. My daughter ordered the chicken tenders and French fries. My plate was huge! It turned into three or four meals! My daughter ate all of her chicken tenders except some of the breading. They were a little overly breaded. I like the condiment bar. But only one person can serve themselves at a time there and there was a guy up there when I got my food and I wanted to go up and add some toppings to my plate. He was filling up about 8 little cups and just looking around. After waiting a few minutes I asked him if he was done since he was just looking. He said he wasn't, but He let me in to grab my stuff.
