I have done this activity at three different studios, and I have to say that this one was my best experience. I decided to keep my painting this time around. Our instructor was very hands on and encouraging. I also have to point out that I was a big fan of his playlist. I absolutely loved taking a class here. I booked this place as one of the activities for my best friend's bachelorette weekend in the city. We ended up using the $30 for $50 yelp deal and I called in to the book the $80 deal for two people. It included the class, wine, and a $50 restaurant.com voucher. With the yelp deal, it ended up costing $62 for two people which was an amazing deal. Our class was limited only to our group of six which was really nice. They provided us with chips and popcorn to go along with our choice of wine. Mr. V (the instructor) was fun and patient. He helped us along the way and gave us ample amount of time to finish each step. This was a great class and I would definitely go here again. I'm only taking a star off because they didn't remember to give us our restaurant.com voucher and we totally forgot to ask about it in the moment (I blame the wine). I have to call in and see what they can do and whether or not they can still give us the voucher code for it. I celebrated my birthday here last November. I usually find a nice bar and reserve a section for my birthday celebrations but since adulting slowly got me I decided to do something more chill, less loud and during day time. Coordinating with La Pittura was a breeze. Mary made everything super easy for me, from picking a painting to arranging the logistics of hosting 20 people -- she even allowed us to do two different paintings because my friends had divergent preferences over what to paint! On the day of, they were super organized. The artist was fantastic, super patient and articulated, and really hyped up everyone. He didn't rush us at all and helped all of us dry the paintings and wrapped them up. And the playlist was so on point! I came here Aug 2018 with some friends and had a great time! This was my first time at a sip and paint event, and I was so worried my painting would turn out awful - and it didn't! The instructor was very patient and showed us multiple ways to go about painting the Empire State Building with a sunset backdrop. He was very helpful, and cracked jokes with us the whole time. I went with 3 friends and there were only about 7 or 8 people there total. The small group definitely was a factor in our fun. The instructor had a chance to talk to all of us, and we got to chat with each other. Also the music was upbeat and very enjoyable - they played music of all genres from many generations (oldies to throwback 00s pop to today's top 40s). My only feedback is that the instructor went veeeery slowly the first hour and a half so the last half hour felt very rushed. My painting didn't fully dry by the end, so it smudged a little in the plastic bag on my way home. read more

Loved this paint studio. My sister threw my nieces "sip and paint" (juice of course) here and it was great. Mr. V and Mary were awesome with the kids and very patient with those who showed up late. Me. V gave great instruction for the little ones to follow as well to help them get their paintings as similar to his ass possible. They loved it and the experience. Afterwards they helped wash hands of the little ones and even cleaned up the huge mess (I felt so bad so I had to help). This is a great place for a kids birthday. Planned a party here. The actual painting and set up was very good, folks were happy. Seems like owner has an anger problem and when I was trying to confirm what would happen during the course of the evening, he got very upset, defensive and raised his voice in a very unprofessional manner. The class was small, there were just 4 of us, and the atmosphere was really cozy, but not claustrophobic because there is a huge window. It's BYOB so I enjoyed a bottle of wine while we painted. I booked this studio through their website using a Groupon and bought the "night out package" which included a bottle of wine and some other small restaurant electronic gift card. Perfect for a date night! The studio is small, fits about 20 people but our Instructor was super generous with his time and guidance. He encouraged our creative license and allowed us to stray away from the original image. Music was great, and some mini chocolates available throughout the night. Not the most ideal bathrooms in the building, but does the trick. I would highly recommend this for a night in with friends or as a date! read more

I really wasn't happy with that class, and I've been to a few. The guy was rushing all the time "because he has to go and take his lady out". I get it, its Valentine's Day but also we paid for this. There are a lot of narrow stairs to get to the studio. The space is large and comfortable, but the bathroom could use an update. They provided snacks, and the studio let us determine the music. They were overly accommodating when we booked our group of six, and let us have a private painting session for a very reasonable price. In addition to that, they let us pick the date / time and suggest the painting. I would go back there for another work event, and I would go back there with friends.
