We did this as a corporate event with remote staff and some local staff in a board room. It was so much fun and a great way to connect virtual team- mates with the local office team. We also made it into a little contest for employees to vote on their favorite. It was easy to coordinate with the paint and sip live staff. They shipped the supplies out to all our virtual folks with plenty of time to spare. The teacher was talented, kind and patient and managed our rambunctious group well. The DJ was awesome and played lots of great songs that we could sing a long too. We laughed the whole way through our session but in the end our paintings turned out pretty good.

We booked Paint and Sip LIVE for a group "outing" for our company and had a blast! It's been a struggle coming up with fun virtual events, and this company made is painless to set up. Paint kits are shipped out individually so you don't have to worry about coordinating with your remote team; Paint and Sip takes care of all of that for you! We ran into a UPS hiccup with one of our kits on the day of the event, and the company went above and beyond to make sure our team member still had the materials they needed to participate. I was shocked and so impressed :) They have a wide range of paintings to choose from too, so it's easy to pick by skill level. Our group ranged from actual, professional, full-time artists to people who barely knew how to hold a paintbrush, and the format made it easy for everyone to go at their own pace while also being guided by our instructor. For the actual event, our group fell in love with our artist instructor, Steven. He was hilarious and engaging throughout, and he made the experience incredibly entertaining. Also bonus shout out to DJ Tapalaga for taking our music suggestions and keeping things upbeat and fun. As Steven would say, "If it feels good do iiiiiiiiiiit!" And this felt great. Highly recommended!

I had such a great time at the paint and sip live! The paint supplies came super fast and included everything from the paint pots, various brush sizes, a plate to mix and the canvas. The DJ that night was awesome-had me dancing in my seat the entire time. The paint instructor was excellent- she took her time explaining the steps in detail. I definitely enjoyed my time painting and it was really cool seeing my painting take form on the canvas. I can't wait to do another one!

I highly recommend Paint & Sip Live for your next event!! We hosted a birthday party this past weekend and everyone had so much fun! The booking was easy, the paint kits arrived on time, our instructor Steven was hilarious and gave great instructions, and DJ Daine kept the party going with great music and played requests!! Most of our guests had attended a paint & sip party but none had ever attended one with a DJ!! This is a perfect option for any celebration or work team building event. For our party were able to set up a room with multiple people and have the zoom projected on a large screen and it worked perfectly!

End result! Two Masterpieces and an empty bottle and wine!

What a great way to spend time and bond with your significant other! Especially during these difficult times. I received all the supplies right to my door, and was able to surprise my gf with a paint and sip. The DJ was rocking, we were painting, dancing and drinking our wine! The best part is that we didn't even need to drive home after since we were already home! Can't wait to do this again :)

I am not an artist but the instructor guided the class in such a thoughtful and clear manner that I was very impressed with my final product. The quick delivery of painting supplies and convenience of taking the class live from home made Paint and Sip Live a neat experience during this pandemic.

We received a run down on how the machine works, learned how to thread the machine and how to fill the bobbins. Then we made a denim tote bag. This was super easy and really fast. After lunch break is the 2nd project. If you don't have your fabric, the school can sell you fabric directly inside for $16 a yard. I bought my fabric elsewhere and brought it in. I honestly recommend doing this instead of buying it from them. Because you have to wash your fabric like how you wash your laundry regularly since it shrinks naturally. We picked our patterns and I made a skirt since a skirt is faster than pants. They recommended not to make pockets or else I'll run out of time. But I HAD to add pockets. Women's clothing have little or no pockets regularly. The instructors are extremely helpful and friendly. and they immediately notice if someone is struggling or stuck. This really impressed me. For example, when I was threading the bobbin, the spool of thread was running out. The teacher was immediately behind me with a brand new spool of the same color so I can swap it out when it was finished. That was a great eye for detail! Overall, highly recommend. Just bring in your own 3 yards of cotton fabric, already washed and dried, for the 2nd project!

Most of the instructors were wonderful, offering guidance when I asked and space when I needed it. It is very reasonably priced and remains a true NYC institution. The only instructor I would caution against is Pat Lipsky. I found her conceited and negative, even spiteful at times. If your aesthetics do not align with Immanuel Kant or Clement Greenberg, you may not feel welcome in her class. After she asked me to help set up her studio for a visiting curator, I left the class. From that point on, she refused to acknowledge me when we crossed paths. Still, the overall experience was deeply meaningful. I am grateful for the time I spent here and the ways it shaped my work and friendships.

Kate Neuman was an angel, and someone who really got into the details of each scene. She used props and scene settings very astutely, making sure that all of our scenes were in context, rather than just dictated to the audience in a forced manner. My only caveat has to do with the introduction and physical coordination exercises in the beginning. They were so attention-grabbing and helpful that I wished that the rest of the class had more of the physical education commitment (rather than just scene study).

The Barrow Group is stellar and unlike any other acting training I've experienced. In terms of techniques, we are taught tools that help us let go of our pre-conceived ideas about a character's thoughts, feelings, and personality traits so that we can be fully present and responsive in the moment. In terms of the school's culture, it is unlike so many other learning environments. The teachers model an entirely judgment-free zone, and students are invited to share their observations about what was "different" (not better or worse) between the first "go" and second "go". The Barrow Group truly loves and respects artists, enabling them to learn and grow in safety, connection, and collaboration. I cannot recommend it enough!

Working with the clay wasn't as difficult or messy as I thought it would be and I think we actually got the hang of it pretty fast. At the end of the class you can choose to buy the mug you made for $15 or not. If you choose the former, they will contact you in a month to go pick it up given that they have to dry, fire, and glaze the piece.
