Man, this place is great. Pizza is better than the previous pizza shop that was at this location. Thin crust tasty, kind of NY style. Love the pizza sauce, has a nice flavor. We built our own and it was very good with some nice fresh veggies. The owner was really nice and said to call in our take out order instead of using the app, to save some money. One of the best pizzas in Mt Lebo! This place only has big pizzas and slices. Soooo good. The sauce is savory and not sweet, fresh ingredients, and super yummy crust! Even my picky kid who loves pizza and HATES crust loves it! When we grabbed the pizza the service was nice however, we did not eat in. But it's a cute little shop in uptown. read more

La Pizzetta is the new pizza shop that is located in the space formerly occupied by Badamo's pizza. They have a small dining area if you wish to eat in. Perhaps one of the things I liked best was that you can order your pizza by the slice and those slices are generously portioned. The menu board is above and behind the ordering counter. They offer a variety of pizzas as well as white pizza and dessert pizzas such as fried Oreo. I decided to go with the all veggie slice minus the olives. My husband ordered two slices of pepperoni pizza. They have interesting combinations of pizza for example-ham and mushrooms. They also have a refrigerator for grab and go drinks with your pizza. If ordering a whole pizza they come in either 16 or 18 inch round and the cost is based on the type of pizza you are getting. They also sell garlic rounds-4 For $5.00. We sat down and waited for our pizza which the counter lady brought to us. I loved the fact that the veggies on my slice were fresh and the crust thin and crisp. Given the large size it can almost account for two slices of pizza. My husband loved his pepperoni slices but did tell me they were a bit greasy. I didn't see if you could custom make your pizza slice but I would imagine you could. I'm a traditional mushroom and green pepper lover but having the fresh tomatoes on my slice really added to the goodness of the pizza. They do have delivery and you can order ahead if you prefer. La Pizzetta sits right in the middle of Mt. Lebanon business district. Street metered parking is available and a parking garage is close by. Definitelly worth a return visit if I find myself in the area again. read more

Hello fellow Yelpers! New pizza shop in Mt. Lebanon?! Bold. Why? Cause there's like 10,000 pizza shops around here! We've already been back three times so that should say enough. It's tasty New York style pizza that differs itself from the other places around it! The closest competitor we can think of is slice on broadway near south side works. Not sure if the other slices compare since that's the only one we've been to in the chain. They are nice and no frills here. When we first went it was just one lady managing everything, but now the last time we went a week ago she's got some staff now, so we are happy for her! If you're looking for a slice of pizza freshly heated up or out of the oven this is for you! The prices are comparable to other places around the $22 and up range for a whole pie, which seems to be the new norm. Is it cheap? No. Is it expensive? No. Right down the middle. If you're looking for some good thinner crust New York style pizza this is the place to try! Is it perfectly exactly like New York? No but hey it's a Pittsburgh style one and we are happy they are here!! Everyone in our party loves the cheese and sauce, some thought the ham was a little salty, others thought it was perfect. I tried this pizzeria when it first opened, and the pizza was good. But, then they became closed four days a week, only operating on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. No lunch hours. No late night pizza orders. No surprise that this pizzeria is now permanently closed. If you're going to be in the pizza business you MUST be accessible to the customer. That means open 7 day a week, lunch hours and late night orders. Mineo's Pizza a half a block away has been accessible to customers for decades. They know how to run a pizzeria. read more

Tried this on the fly on my way home from downtown. First time. Pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. Pizza was ready when I got there. The owner was actually on the phone calling to let someone know that their pizza had just left and to watch out for the driver. Nice touch. Pizza was loaded with pepperoni. Cheese just the way I like it. Sauce wasn't as spicy as I like it but a little red pepper fixed that. One big difference I haven't seen mentioned is that this place takes credit cards. Now that's a plus plus plus! We'll try the dough balls next time. read more

The employees are lovely and work hard. The food is just ok. The meatballs were tough and over cooked. The margarita is NOT a margarita pizza. It is a thick crust and loaded with tomato sauce with a little mozzarella. We were incredibly underwhelmed. I don't understand the good reviews. read more

BEST PIZZA OF MY LIFE! Cleanest Pizza shop I have ever been to, you can tell the owners are super hardworking. One of the most kindest people you will ever meet. Margarita pizza was the best pizza I have ever had. So good very authentic, and let me tell you I RECCOMEND. (It is full of the best red sauce with mozzarella cheese and basil) SO GOOD. The BEST thing about this pizza are the ingredients, I spoke with the owners and they told me how hard they worked to create it with CLEAN ingredients NO chemichals. They really put a lot of hard work. So grateful to know that they at least care what they are giving to their customers! I really reccomend this pizza shop it is so good! Called in last minute for a pizza, the owner and what I think might have been his wife were there personally cooking the pizza, handed over a hot delicious large pepperoni that was absolutely delicious. They were so nice upon my arrival, there to pick it up minutes before they closed, the restaurant was absolutely spotless, it was looking brand new - it was so clean. I highly recommend this pizza place for anyone looking for a real Italian making delicious pizza. read more

One of the better slices I've had in Pittsburgh if not the best. If you come from a large north east coast city (NYC/Philly/etc) and are looking for something similar to what you can find in a corner pizza shop then this is the closest I've found. First time I went I was incredibly impressed, it sent me right back to slices I would grab at local Philly spots. Second time the consistency was slightly off (being a nerd here) but still very very good. Having only been open for a few weeks this was honestly not unexpected. Good clean tasting sauce that isn't sweet like you often find in Pittsburgh area pizza. Crust is chewy yet tender, decent char underneath and it folds nicely. I will be returning for sure! Ordered a pepperoni slice and a spinach roll most recently. Both were clearly many hours old, soggy and almost inedible. So incredibly disappointed that my initial good experience has been followed up by bad food and indifferent and unpleasant service there a few times now. Delighted these guys took over the Badamo's space. Badamo's was great for many years, but slipped over past couple of years as far as their standard pizza (not Sicilian or white). La Pizzetta gets a lot right. A tasty, thin crust with good chew, sauce isn't overly sweet, cheese ratio is solid. If there's one complaint is that the pepperoni is sliced somewhat thick. Parking for pickup has always been an issue, so won't dock them for that. But ever since Claudio's on Painters Run closed during the pandemic, we've been looking for a new pizza place. Have tried many with very inconsistent results, but our first pizza from La Pizzetta was everything we could've asked for. read more
