She has also gained more confidence, her instructor is very positive and encouraging. They are extremely flexible with hours/scheduling. I can always text them for a quick and easy communication rather than calling and playing phone tag. After every session I get an e-mail with notes from her instructor sharing what they covered in the lesson and how it went with a list of things she did well and things she can continue to practice. Also, the sessions are easy to use and set up, it's just a link to click in an e-mail instead of downloading or installing Zoom or any other platform on the device. If I want them to cover any specific homework assignment, workbook, skill or even state testing practice they incorporate that into the session for us. I would highly recommend them!

She helped my son prep for the HSPT entrance exam for Notre Dame after he took their week-long test prep workshop and practice test and his score needed to greatly improve. Shushan worked with him once a week for a few months leading up to the test and his score went up 130 points and his markers went from half being in the 'below average' range & half in the 'average' range to ALL ABOVE AVERAGE on the actual test! The government pays them per student so they make a lot of money since they pay their tutors hourly, when they pay them. I made a complaint about the tutoring group sizes and I was told something along the lines that an expert in education had formulated these groups for optimal education. It was total BS since the group was students of all different grades and 2 different subjects. I was a tutor for this company and the material that we receive for older students 7-12th grade are not relevant for their current school since student get the same materials for middle school whether you are in 7th or 8th and for high school no matter what grade you are in. If you work for this company it's a real disaster since everything is done through email, when people stop responding to you it feels helpless. I am behind 3 paychecks and the CEO, Charles Purdom, told me they were in the mail (in one email he even told me to "please ensure that you don't lose your mail a second time" because at one point I thought there was a problem with my mail and this man had the audacity to tell me to not loose my mail like it was my fault and I was trying to loose my paychecks) and when they never arrived he completely stopped responding to my emails. I would not recommend working for this company or sending your child to be tutored through this company since they really don't care about education or their workers.

It is obvious that MMT's bad behavior, such as not paying their tutors in a timely fashion has not been altered in anyway, form or manner. They expect you to pay out gobs of money for fingerprints, TB, and background check. You are out the gas money to get from location to location and then they expect you to wait at least 45 days to pay you. They will unapologetically take away hours worked for the most minor discrepancy or delay. In frequent cases many tutors were not paid for months, in many cases, such as mine I did not receive my last check for work done and if you did get a check it bounces. Every month I felt as if I had a knife held to my throat to get paid! I have never worked for a more egregious group in my life. They come off as helping serve the unfortunate, which you are, under performing and low income neighborhoods and schools. This is the only pro and a great experience, the rest is a giant downhill and rip off your time, miles on your car and gas money, and often risking your life in some pretty sketchy areas. They overload you with minutia and tons of paperwork, a cut and past formality. You quickly come to realize that more time is spent on travel and paperwork (both of which you are NOT paid), then actually being with students, which they will pile into any room if they can, with little resources, dated over used material nor support. Overall Mobile Minds Tutoring comes off as a scam organization based on their business practices and their treatment of the very tutors in the trenches, by their managers. I didn't mention the high turn over in management! MMT receives payment from federal funds funneled through the school districts. They really should be audited and fined for misrepresenting themselves and their financial management. It's a shame that well intended money is being pocketed by malicious and unscrupulous individuals, starting with the president Charles Purdum III. As they saying goes: "I trust you (MMT) as far as I can throw you (MMT)!"

I was with Annie for 4/5 years on and off (7th grade (pre algebra) - 11th (pre-calc)) and even a little bit of Spanish in between! She was there to help me in person and through skype with all my math difficulties. From homework sets to the Final exam, Annie guided me through math with her techniques, practice and patience. She was always able to take whatever concept I was learning and tailor it in a way that I could understand. If there was something I could not wrap my head around she would break it down step by step until I was able to answer the main question at hand. She would give me practice problems outside of whatever work we'd do to make sure I had it down. Now she's not a tutor that will serve everything to you on a silver platter. She will make you work through it on your own as best you can. What I love about Annie is that she never gave up on me. Even though I hated math (still do lol) she believed I could get through it.
