Bad coffee. We've ordered 2 Lattes and 2 Capuchinos. Was told by the young lady they can't make Lattes. So, we changed for 4Capuchinos. She asked if we want Vanilla or Mocha. We chose Mocha but she made it Vanilla for all of us. When we complained about her mistake, she told us, those were Mochas and she offered us regular coffee for replacement. We've dumped the Capuchinos and tried the regular which was horrible. If you want decent coffee than skip this place. read more

Why 4 stars.. Because this place is bomb... it's so good. Why not 5 then you say.. Well I always order Green Enchiladas here they are soooo good, with sour cream, avocado, cabbage, tomatoes they are the best. However today I went to order my usual and nobody said a thing about the recipe changing, which would be fine if it wouldn't involve roasted jalapeños as the sauce. This is what I got, it was so spicy it was inedible. Nose runny, eyes watery, and utter misery. I tried to take the peppers out. But how? It's the sauce, I am thinking they ran out of green sauce and mashed some roasted peppers to make them ‍ why not tell me they ran out and make them red. Utter utter misery and still hungry and back at work so unable to get anything else to eat. I also called to let them know. Keep going here, it's awesome. Weight your masa!!! Make sure you get the right amount of masa for tamales that you pay for. My mom ordered 20 pounds and they only gave her 15 pounds. She went back then had to wait a long time for the 5 pounds that they didn't give her on the first place. She said the owner was there and didn't even offer anything to help the situation. read more

Why is it when I order a sweet bread it's always Stale and old like it's been there for two days. I purchased before and the bread just didn't taste good I gave it another chance and it still sucks. Their food is OK but they need to make fresh bread like every day and it looks like it's always at the same location. We found this place because I was at the point of near STARVATION and was going to settle for Subway(next door)! Thankfully I was conscious enough to see this attractive and humble Mexican Bakery and decided to try it. I had the Breakfast Burrito(eggs, chorizo, potatoes, and beans) at noon even though they stop serving breakfast at 11:00AM they made an exception. My wife had the Torta de Jamon(Ham Torta). Service was AMAZING, the staff was very accommodating and nice while they served us! The food was AMAZING! Quality, fresh ingredients prepared when you order. We were on our way back from a trip from Monterey, CA. Searched for something on our way home and mostly everything was closed except for this little gem. We were passing through Salinas and looking for breakfast, hoping to avoid Del Taco or Dennys. We yelped and found La Plaza. We got three tortas (2 breakfast and one chicken milanesa) and one burrito. The tortas were excellent - - nice bread and large portions. I could only finish half of mine The guys at the next table had a variety of plates and it all looked pretty good, especially the tacos. We also split a pastry that was filled with sweet cream cheese - - yum. We like to support local businesses when on the road and this was a nice find. read more

Wow! Driving from San Luis Obispo to Pleasanton, needed a quick pit stop for some food and gas. Found this bakery on Yelp, this will be our new pit stop from now on when we take this route. Bread is great. However the quality of their order taking and order process is absolutely horrible. This is the second time I've order burritos from here and definitely the last time. I ordered 2 papas and ham burritos and 2 chorizo breakfast burritos. Not only did they lose our order but when we told them they brushed it off and just continued filling people's order who came in after us. So 35 minutes later we get our order and by this time we are irritated but what makes it worse I went to bite my chorizo "breakfast burrito" and it was filled with only chorizo. Like literally a tortilla stuffed with chorizo. Who does that?! Where the hell is my egg? What am I supposed to do with an oily chorizo filled tortilla?! Never ever coming back. The food is Good. Being of Mexico's Origin I believe this business is the closest you are going to get to having meals with the taste of home made style. The only downfall of this place is that they have so many customers that they some times serve other people who order after you place your order. They tend to forget you, especially when you order just for yourself. It happens quite often. At first, you figured it is alright, but when it continues to happen, then you realized that, even though the food is excellent, the customer service is not up to satisfaction. I believe that staff should be trained more often about how important it is to pay attention and make their customers feel important no matter how small the order is, or who they are serving, whether somebody is good looking or not so good looking. To treat a customer with respect no matter how young or old, how thin or not so thin. A smile and an honest greeting, making sure they don't forget your place in the order line, will make a customer very happy and content that he or she is treated as equal. It will make the customer very happy to know he or she will be enjoying the meal they are about to have without feeling neglected. A simple apology will serve better than giving a customer their justification with an attitude. read more
