If I could, I'd give it zero stars. My family and I went over to grab some coffee on Saturday August 8th at 4pm, after ordering our coffee I asked the employee the code for the restroom. As my daughter and I were coming out from the restroom the floor was wet & my daughter had slipped & had a hard fall. There was so proper signage or any caution signs, again there was NOTHING. I told the employee & she had horrible attitude with her response just being "ok". There was so feelings with the employee, didn't even bother asking if my daughter was okay. I tried contacting them 3 times via phone call on Saturday and no answer. I left a voicemail and they haven't gotten back to me. I also emailed them on Saturday and still no response. I called again today & there is no answer. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE read more

Got a banana protein cajeta iced drink and matcha horchata. I like that you can substitute the milk. It was empty after lunchtime. The toilet doesn't stop flushing. There was only one worker so she doesn't give you napkins or straws because she has to take the next order. read more

Staff acted like she was in a hurry and miserable and no one was there. She gave me the wrong drink and heard me mention it but didn't offer to make me another. The avocado toast was super salty. They just spread guac and a couple of slices of avocado. read more

This place is a really nice vibe, from the decor to the music. clean. They have pretty fast service. This is the second time coming here. We came back cause the first time customer service was great. Today was not the case. I ordered two drinks. The Duvalin one and this Mexican Mocha. I messed up and forgot to ask for Oat milk, soy milk or any milk substitute.. so I apologized and asked for them to remake it.. they charged me $1.60 which was fair my mistake. What wasn't ok was the girl making the drink talking crap between her teeth. They asked if I still wanted whip I said yes whip isn't enough to upset my stomach like the milk.. she was so upset slamming things talking crap extremely loudly she said whip is dairy said how dumb why do I have to remake.. I understand it was my mistake. I paid the difference but if this is the type of service Con Azucar offers then maybe I my money should go elsewhere .. which sucks cause the coffee was really good.. and that's where the two stars came in.. I've worked retail It sucks but to treat a paying customer like that ain't right.. read more

The decor and the staff are really nice. It's not really worth the hype. It's legit a place you go once because of the hype on social media and the novelty huge concha and hot chocolate or coffee. The bread itself is really dry and not much flavor and I have tried their coffee and espresso drinks twice just to make sure it wasn't an off one time thing and both times they tasted either burnt or soapy. I give it a 2/5 stars due to the beautiful decor and kind staff but the products they have are very lack luster. Not with the money or time it takes to get to the front of the line due to everyone wanting pictures of the big food or beautiful decor. read more

I go to Con Azúcar often since giving up Starbucks! My family and I love getting the Duvalin matcha latte, dulce de leche frappe, Jamaica refresher and gansito frappe. I have never had a bad experience here!! My matcha is always great (I just have to remember to mix it well) and today my barista left a Winnie the Pooh latte art on my drink which was a cute surprise!! The service is always great and the place is beautiful painted :) I'm glad there's a great Starbucks alternative coffee place here in Salinas. read more

Walked in, and shortly walked out without buying anything. In a town that is rich with local authentic, delicious Mexican bakeries and restaurants, this seems NOT to be one of them. Either staff are not knowledgeable or they really don't bake their own goods in house. I went to inquire if they pre-sold conchas for a next day event. The customer service rep, with slight attitude, said she didn't know then pointed to another lady and told me to ask her, who was the manager. The manager, who was not welcoming and had no smile, told me they do not pre-sell. They sell whatever they get from San Jose. Then I asked if they make their conchas fresh in house and she told me no, conchas are not made in the Salinas site. I asked when the items in the display case were made and she didn't know either!! Needless say, this place is not worth the trouble if you're wanting fresh conchas. At this point, it's just an esthetically beautiful looking coffee, drink cafe. read more

I LOVE coffee! I prefer to support local coffee shops, but still wanted to give this place a try. I walked in and waited a few minutes before even being greeted... fine. They were busy making drinks, so I didn't fret. The decor was nice and seemed to be geared towards Instagram worthy pics. I wanted to try something a bit different so I ordered a Chiquita iced mazapan latte. The girl who took my order was nice and quick to do so. The latte was actually really good! I loved the nuttiness and it wasn't too sweet. I would go back again just for this drink, because it's not a common drink you can find just anywhere. Only thing, I wish it had more ice, because it melted very quickly and my drink didn't stay cold for long. The place isn't anything special, but I would say just give it a try and decide for yourself. read more

Very aesthetically pleasing. I went around 12ish and luckily it was not that packed so I was able to sit down and enjoy the mural. The cafe de olla is delicious but it comes in a small cup. The latte was also good. I didn't expect the sandwich to be flavorful. Just be warned that it has a lot of mayo and if you are a messy eater like me you'll get your shirt stained. read more

Been a customer since opening day and I go every other day to your store. Jairo has always been welcoming,kind and makes the best drinks!

One star is for the ambiance and horchata. The service was strange. They didn't greet us, no smiles and I felt like they were prejudice because I'm white. I've lived in Salinas my whole life and know when I'm treated differently. We ordered a BLT and avocado toast. I thought my sandwich looked really small and underwhelming. When I saw two other BLT's come up for another order they were packed full of bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. I told the girl that mine looked really different. When I said that she looked nervous and said they were the same. My sister said she came back to give them another chance. But she felt like it was underwhelming and they were rude as well. read more

I've been to this location multiple times. Today, we ordered a Gansito Frappe with a cafe de la olla. The coffee was okay. To begin, there was no line management so customers didn't know where to stand in line. However, the issue was we received a strawberry frappe instead of a Gansito frappe. We returned only to be told that it was the Gansito frappe when it's clearly not. The lady said that the frappe is usually this pink which is hard to believe. We've been at this location multiple times for the Gansito frappe and it's never looked or tasted like this, can't taste a Gansito. There didn't seem to be supervisors around, staff is very young. read more

I was here back in February, not too long after they opened. I walked in and there were a few people in line and plenty of open seats, which I was gladly surprised. I ordered the iced mazapan latte and their assortment of pastries. The pastries were okay, I could tell they were not fresh, but not bad. The mazapan latte was on the sweeter side. I would ask for it less sweet next time. The staff was not friendly or rude, you could tell they were still trying to find their rhythm. They seemed to need training or have someone take ownership in managing the staff. I believe there was 4-5 people and they all seemed to lean on each other, no clear direction from a manager. The place was clean but they had received a supply order and supplies were sort of in the way, there was a couple of staff members working on it. Overall it was an okay experience and I would go back. At this moment, I wouldn't say Con Azucar comes to mind when I want to go out for coffee. I mean, it's been 3 months since I was there and I haven't been back, but I do plan on giving them another chance. read more

Such a cute and cozy spot! The service was fast, friendly, and super helpful--especially when it came to deciding what to drink. We tried the iced horchata latte and the pepino con limón, and both were delicious. The pepino con limón was especially refreshing! We also got the small bread bag, which had a nice variety of soft, tasty Mexican breads. Everything was fresh and flavorful. My son loved the colorful Mexican sprinkle cookie we picked out for him--big win! The decor is adorable and makes the space feel warm and welcoming. Definitely a great little cafe we'll be coming back to. read more

The place was fantastic! The conchas and coffee were delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I never felt rushed or pressured while placing my order. The space is clean, stylish, and aesthetically pleasing. It's a cozy, chic little café with comfortable seating and great music playing throughout. A wonderful spot to relax and enjoy your time. I hesitated writing this review because the place just opened and I imagine there are growing pains with any new establishment. Also, I wondered if I simply ordered the wrong thing for me. So I looked around and it looks like this "franchise" is simply more in the business of appearing to be good than actually executing on service and quality. So many locations opening up and no consideration is being given to the countless complains for service at ALL their locations. Long wait times even on the "older" locations. It sucks for the investment into these viral businesses that have no proven concept. Best of luck, as for me, I can make better tasting coffee at home . Social media really hypes up places and this one is one i had been wanting to try. Tried con azucar for the first time on monday i get it its a holiday super packed. First thing i do when i go in smile at the staff the lady that looked like the manager stared at me and instead of smiling back she gives a mad look. New place we get it has room for improvement. Ordered a mexican mocha which is insanely expensive but i thought if its delicious it will be worth it, but no it tasted more like cinnamon. I was super excited to try this place. We order service was ok. We got our food first which sucked! I got a torta de jamon, how do you mess that up well they did! It was not cut all the way so pulling it apart was a mess and they also added way too much mayonnaise. It had more mayonnaise than it had bread. The wait for a drinks was long just for them not to taste good. My daughter who is 1 an a half and likes anything sweet did not like the hot chocolate or the concha. My parents also hated we will never go back. Also place is too small not family friendly. This place is only for social media. I wish I had pictures but I was too disappointed to take any. read more
