My California burrito burly has meat only frays thats why I stop going to next door of this place but now they gonna do same then I will just drive all the way to Chula Vista go to taco el Gordo in Chula Vista buy cransda frays that's all they lost my good customers My wife roll tacos. So this place is literally a stone throw away from Saritas'. Very interesting to note how packed and busy both of these locations were on Saturday night when I stopped by. The worst thing about this place has to be its parking, just like Saritas, the parking lot is super small and street parking is quite limited. Luckily I found a spot that was adjacent to the gas station next door to it. I have no clue if this location is connected to the other two locations in Hillcrest and Lakeside, but it was great to finally try one. My food took quite a while to come out due to the gazillion orders of carne asada fries a head of me, I watched as the line cooks made them, these guys loaded up plates with stuff, no gravy skimpers here. After getting my order, I asked the guy for a massive amount of hot sauce, he did not disappoint as he handed me six huge containers of hot sauce, nice. The fries weren't too crispy, but they definitely didn't suffer from the sogginess that some places throw out. La Posta makes a damn fine California burrito. La Posta despite its incredible competition next door does San Diego taco shop food right. Their menu is very simple as they offer most of the staple items here, nothing fancy at all. First time trying this place. Ordered us 3 of the #4 combos (2 beef tacos, rice and beans). It was delicious! The taco shells weren't too hard, just perfect. The beef was juicy, sufficient lettuce and white cotija cheese. The refried beans were very tasty and the Spanish rice was good, fresh and fluffy. The horchata had a nice hint of cinnamon but was way too sweet for me. However, their jamaica agua fresca was perfect. I usually go to Saritas next door, but I don't like the beef tacos from Saritas, so I took a chance on La Posta de Acapulco. I found a new favorite spot! read more

Crooked! My wife order 9 rolled tacos. I went to pick up and they charge me 12$, i asked why so.mich , he goes 3 multiple by three tacos. I am thinking the more I buy the better the price, I walk out. I am like something is wrong, go back and tell me hey. I can get 10 rolled tacos for 10$, so give me back my two dollars and u keep the last tacos He argues that I order 9 and not 10. But i am like u ripped me and i am asking u to fix . The tortillas are perfect and the burritos are just huge. I had a carne asada burrito after reading the reviews about the carne asada fries. I was not disappointed at all. The burrito came with guacamole inside for no extra charge -- who does that?! I added rice and my bill was just over $7. They also had the perfect salsa verde and a takeout container that I didn't have to ask for multiples of. Really, this place does everything right. This is my choice spot to go for mexican food. Santanas and Cotijas employees have attitude issues. Saritas is on and off. They're just a 24/7 spot. La Posta employees have always been nice. Came into here because I decided to try to see if I can find another good California burrito joint, and since this place has so many good reviews I decided to try it out, got a California no sour cream, it's right next door to saritas so I figured I'd grab some sauce from them just incase I didn't like the sauce at this place, don't get me wrong the salsa was okay but saritas sauce is better, also the burrito came out to $6.50 which isn't bad at all but I would've rather paid an extra $1 next door for a bigger burrito, overall this place isn't to bad but if I have to compare it to saritas next door I think I'll stick with saritas, stars go towards service, food and price (: The big containers are their sauce ( light red and light green ) the small containers are saritas sauce ( dark red and dark green ) my order was a cali no sour cream. read more

I love the carne asada burritos different than any other place mainly because they add lettuce. Sounds weird but it's actually very good. I've only tried a few things here I mainly come for the carne asada burrito when I'm in the mood. Pretty tasty and always friendly customer service the guy at the front is always pleasant ! A great taco shop. I love the white cheese they put on their hard shell, and rolled shredded beef tacos. Their California burritos are also the best in the Casa De Oro area, don't even bother with Sarritas, Or Sanatanas for a Cali. Horchata is made from scratch, not a powder mix like every other place. Definitely a must try for horchata lovers. The service is also always excellent. Complementary chips and salsa every time you dine in, and the crew is always friendly and eager to make sure you're satisfied with your visit. This place was great! I want to try the rest of their menu. I ordered something different than usual for me. I ordered the #7 (2 rolled tacos and cheese enchilada with a side of rice and beans). I added beef to my enchilada and everything was really good! It is your usual hole in the way, family owned, Mexican restaurant. I want to go back and try their breakfast burritos, chimichangas and everything! They had home made horchata which was delicious! I wish they also had orange bang :( There is a small area with tables and chairs or you can order your food today and enjoy it at home.
