The service was good considering that we had a birthday party dinner. Ordered the fajitas for one and it was enough for at least four people. Way too much meat considering you only get 2 flour tortillas. If you want more you had to pay $.75 more for each one. Meat was real chewy. Got a beer with my meal but wasn't expecting to pay $6 for it, since all they did was take the bottle cap off of it. I love all the food here, you can never go wrong with any of it. The enchiladas are the best, and the sour cream sauce is the best around here IMO. Magali the manager is great and makes all customers feel like family. Sometimes the servers can be less attentive, but it really depends. My spouse and I went here on Friday, Dec.11,2020. We had been out Christmas shopping so I needed to use the ladies room once we got there. When I went in the ladies room the door was not marked for the ladies room just a brown door. How are you supposed to know what that door leads too? When entering the ladies room it was very unclean. There was no toilet paper. There was a toilet bowl brush thrown in the floor with wet toilet paper all over it. Floors were filthy. This is all during the COVID-19 mind you. We had a very sweet waitress she said she was new but you wouldn't have known otherwise. We ordered the enchilada dinners. It was dinner time and most Mexican restaurants serve 3 enchiladas for dinner menu. This restaurant doesn't apparently. Sadly enough we get our food and the enchiladas looked like tiny taquitos. The kind you buy in your frozen food section at the grocery store. The beans tasted like they had been mixed with water and were runny like water. When we cut into our "enchiladas" it was nothing but tortilla. We ordered cheese enchiladas but sadly enough there was no cheese. The rice was extremely dry and flavorless. I wish now I had taken a photo of this so you can see it. When we went to pay our bill was $35.00 before the tip. Needless to say if I ever had to go again I told my spouse I would just have an Iced tea that was all that was worth a flip. Total waste of money and dinner. In a pinch and starving, so we stopped in. Not sure who raved that the salsa, was to die for, but it was very mild. The Miss' ordered the fried catfish (yes you read that right) and loved it. Stopped on our way home from Dallas and was very surprised! Awesome food! Chips and salsa were fresh and the food was great! We live in town, decided to go here because everything else was closed, we should've stayed home. We ordered 2 chimichanga plates, an enchilada dinner, quesadillas and a kids burger, upon ordering the burger we asked to add tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles to the burger and were told that we could but they would be a dollar a piece, so we got it plain and dry instead to save $3. We waited on the food about 10 minutes, they then brought out the enchiladas and chimichanga plates, it was another 10 minutes, long enough for 2 people to already finish their meal before they brought out the 2 kids plates. Anyone that has kids knows how hard it is to sit at a table with food everywhere and try to keep a 2 year old from going all over the place trying to get food because you are waiting for the kids plates to come out. We will not return, our meal cost $46 but we were discounted 15% on kids meals because they took so long to arrive, still cost $38. Could've gotten the same meal, better quality food down the road at Pudgys and paid under $25. read more

Just moved to wills point & thought we would try a local mexican restaurant. Place wasn't packed but had a steady flow of people coming & going. Chips & salsa were complementary. Salsa had a good flavor but our chips were greasy & not sure if some one stepped on them, beat them with their fist or we just got bottom of barrel but they were pretty much tiny broke pieces. We started with a medium order of guacamole which was more than plenty for two people. It was fresh but had no flavoring. I like a little Pico flavoring mixed in & wish some had come on the side. I order the 2 taco dinner plate & hubby ordered the combo fajitas beef & chicken. The food was average. Taco meat was beef but again no seasoning in the beef. Husbands fajitas were not seasoned other than onion flavor meat was fried with & (a heads up) u have to ask for cheese with your fajitas & they charge you .99 . We eat a lot of Mexican food & can't recall not getting cheese with fajitas. Service was fast & our waitress (Selena) was very polite/friendly & checked on us throughout the meal several times ( I give her 5 stars). The only real complaint would be the food just needed seasoning. If you do not like spicy mexican then you will like this place. read more

Went here last night. We got seated right away and another couple was seated right after us. That couple had chips, salsa, an appetizer, and their drinks with in minutes. We still waited. After about 20 minutes of waiting we asked the lady who sat us down who our waitress was. She said it was the lady sitting at the bar rolling the silverware in the napkins. The hostess was like I will get you taken care of. Finally now we will get service. The weird thing is they was not even busy. There was maybe 4 other tables with people. The other waitress didn't move the entire time, other than to make our mixed drinks. This is becoming a problem. We always enjoy being able to stay in town and eat but geez. Every time we go here lately, and we go at least once a week, it has been the most terrible service ever. The food was good, but the salsa was a little bland last night. read more

Good food and service. Really good hot sauce and chips. Once we order it usually doesn't take long for our order to be completed. Manager seems friendly. She walks around and asks if all is OK. She also helps the servers when needed. The negative point I have is the horrible parking lot. Big hole when coming of or getting on to Hwy 80 is difficult, and dangerous. read more

Usually a must stop is issued when traveling through this town because we love this place. However quality has slipped drastically. Dirty window sills adjacent and slightly above table height that were not cleaned recently were not great when we first sat down. I've eaten Tex-Mex all over Texas, and believe to be a good judge of such food. La Pradera was good, at best. Sauce was as regular as could be. Chips a lil overcooked and hard. My steak was overcooked, wife's taco was awful. Beans/rice pretty good. BUT, young guy waiting on us was doing his best, not a bad waiter for a young guy. But he has a rubber bracelet on that says "I love BOOBIES!" I grew up here, lived in many places, city, country, small town, big town, city, etc...but any place where you serve others, especially in a small town with many older people coming in to eat, totally out of place. For management to allow such, or not be aware of, says a lot! Although I hate to say so, this would be enough for many not to return. UPDATE:I don't care if the bracelet is for breast cancer awareness. When you have older people going into a restaurant, ANYTHING referring to 'boobies' is inappropriate. Food is great! Been going here since high school and it used to be great service too. However, the last trip, I suppose I got a waitress that didn't like her job?? She was rude and slammed our plates down on the table. Disappeared several times for extended periods of time and our drinks became empty without a refill. I timed a 9 minute interval between an empty drink until she finally showed up to the table. Unfortunately, this has put a bad taste in my mouth. They do have a drive thru pick up, so the next time I want La Pradera, perhaps I will just do that. read more
