Ruidoso Lodge Cabins, oh how I would love to go back! While we were there, we stayed in one of the Hidden Canyon cabins, which was so wonderfully remote. Tucked away between the foothills of the mountains, we got to experience a peaceful, quiet long weekend. There are only two other cabins on the road that ours was on, so the quietude really was palpable. In the mornings (we got up before our neighbors, apparently) it felt like we were the only two people in the whole world. Even though it was chilly, we would go out on the deck to enjoy our morning coffee (for him) and tea (for me) while listening to the creak of the trees, the chirp of birds, a distant woodpecker hunting for breakfast... it was just so lovely. Actually, the in-your-face nature reached a whole other level when we had a moment interacting with the local deer population. We were on our way to the car to head towards town, when we suddenly realized that there was a herd of deer wandering towards us. Not wanting to scare them with the car door sounds, we just stopped and stood completely still. We had expected them to just continue on their way, but they actually decided to stop and check us out. A few of them actually came right up to us and (I swear, I couldn't make this up!) licked our hands! (For the "pics or it didn't happen" people out there, please do see the pictures I've uploaded. Told you-- I couldn't make this up!) Regarding the cabin itself-- the amenities were everything we could have hoped for. The kitchen was immaculately cleaned and ready for us to make a meal in, the bathroom was lovely with its skylight and river stone shower, and the bed... well, it might have been just about the most comfortable bed the husband and I had ever slept in. Not kidding! Honestly, I can't do this place any justice by writing about it. You'll just have to go take a look at the pictures, or better yet, go stay for a weekend yourself! Don't be deceived by the pictures. It is nothing like what they show. We have been staying here since the cabins were built. This is the first time that we have been back since the flood. This place is very sad and depressing. They not spending anything on taking care of the yard, no flowers, no upkeep on the cabins. There is still a duplex cabin that wash ravaged by the flood next to the cabins. Management is very difficult to get a hold of when you need something. A lots of excuses! Have a good time and stay somewhere else. read more

Pam Pam Pam...headed to Ruidoso for Spring Break unfortunately we were so busy we did not call in time to secure a cabin. Our other VRBO we scheduled ended in a bit of a disaster... so we found ourselves searching last second for a place to stay the last few nights... On a whim I called our FAVORITE place to stay the RUIDOSO LODGE CABINS!!!! We stayed here for 3 nights in Cabin 10 :) it was an amazing stay!!! This place is kept incredibly clean and you can tell they take pride in their work! Chris has amazing customer service! Every time we've seen her she always asked us how everything was going and if we needed anything at all. We definitely will be back :) I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves the outdoors. It's so difficult to put such a great experience into words.. Ruidoso Lodge Cabins has several cabins in this area, and we stayed in the Singing Pines Cabin. It was Very Clean had ample towels, blankets, dishets, pots/pans etc. We took our food and additional cookware to the cabin since things in areas like this can get pricey. The hot tub out back was checked daily and is a nice addition. We also made use of the grill outside. This cabin has everything You'll need for a cozy cabin.. DVD Player and Direct TV are in the living room area and the Gas Fireplace heats up the entire cabin. If You go during the holidays they definitely charge a lot more and will lock You in with a 4 night minimum, but it was well worth it. I highly recommend this if You're in the Ruidoso, NM area. read more

We original had a cabin that we weren't too happy with because there wasn't enough space to park our Jeep I called and told them the issue and they right away got us into the riverside cottage. It was so nice very clean and spacious. We had the most relaxing time if you are going to stay I would for sure recommend one of the riverside cottages best money spent. read more

Awesome place, excellent service. Have been going for years now. The cabins we stayed in (Upper Canyon) were about 900 square feet, but designed as one open space. Great to load up on groceries to take advantage of the full kitchen and just RELAX. It's a pleasant moderately long walk to downtown Ruidoso. Staff is helpful but completely non-intrusive. Highly recommended if you want some quiet alone time or a base of operations for exploring the area. read more

We recently visited Ruidoso Lodge Cabins for a short getaway/babymoon. I have been to Ruidoso many times but this time was just special. Could have been the Christmas spirit in the air and the many wandering deer, either way it was most enjoyable. Our cabin was perfect and the gas fireplace heating the room was just an added feature. We really enjoyed ourselves and the beautiful air outside with the sound of the river was perfect. A big shout out to management for making our short stay memorable! read more

This place is great! We came with friends and their 2 yr old for 3 nights. The lodge was perfect. They had the Downstairs bedroom with the whirlpool and king sized bed and we're comfortable. We took the upstairs and had ample room, especially with an extra bed in the loft. The deck downstairs has a gate that latches so we were able to lock it and not worry about the little one escaping. Thanks for an awesome staycation! What a great experience, making reservations online was easy, the front desk clerk was super friendly when we checked in, our cabin was super clean and comfortable. As business owners we needed to get away for a bit to decompress and we sure did here. Love sitting on the front porch watching the cars go by, listening to the rain, the crickets, seeing the deer on the front lawn, sitting down by the creek with some other vacationers having a glass of wine, it was so relaxing that I cried when we had to leave. Loved our stay at these cabins, very cozy and clean. Bed was very comfortable, also. Staff was very helpful and maintained your privacy. This place manages several properties. We originally stayed at Ruidoso Skies that they manage. Was cold upon arrival and we turned the gas fireplace (that's the heater) on and it did not work. Maintenance came and got it to work for a little while. Next person got it to work for a little while. Maintenance had gone home so manager (wish I could remember her name. She was great) asked if we would mind going to another cabin and I said that would be fine. We were both worried with it getting late and being cold that heater might keep acting up. She moved us to an upgrade (at not extra charge) at Riverside Cottages. Everybody involved was very nice and understanding about our problem. When I called the first time I could not get anybody to answer the phone and tried twice more. The Manager called me back from caller ID and said she had been on the other line. This impressed me. Loved the new cabin. Oh, gas fireplace worked great also. It would run us out and this cabin had a cathedral ceiling. Jacuzzi was great. Entire property and area was light for Christmas and was beautiful. Especially after the 4 inches of snow. That morning they were going around getting the snow off the steps and walkways to make it safer. There was a broom on our porch that was handy to sweep remaining moisture off because it was going to freeze that night. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody. My wife and I have stayed here twice now, Riverside and Hidden Canyon. Both trips were great. The cabins are super clean and very nice. The property is very relaxing and comfortable. It is very close to the main road and shopping. This place is perfect for a quiet and relaxing weekend. The staff has always been friendlly and helpful. I stayed here for a short honeymoon and let me tell you it was awesome! I can't say enough how wonderful this experience was. We checked in late but the service was awesome and my husband and I did some exploring and just felt at home and at ease. The cabin had everything we needed. We stayed in cabin 12 which is completely isolated. Cabins 11, 12 & 13 are the same and are so worth it if you would like to be alone. We can't wait until we come back with the family which we plan on staying in cabins 5 & 6. read more

There is nothing but wonderful things to say about these lodges. The grounds are spectacularly kept up, as well as the cabins. The staff is so lovely and always take the time to see how you're doing. Our lodge had a dreamy front and back porch to sit and enjoy the beauty around you. The sounds of the river are relaxing and it is not unusual to see deer! We played frisbee in the expansive front yard and grilled steaks on the grille. Highly, highly recommend!! read more

Great communicators as they made the effort to have the place ready before regular check-in time. As we approached the lodge we crossed the stream and saw 2 deer on the side of the road. Christina was very friendly and thorough about going over the policies and amenities available to us during our stay. The cabin itself was clean and the decor rustic in nature. The table was set for a romantic dinner with wine glasses and cloth napkins. Nice touch. The two room cabin was roomy and came equipped with a nice flat screen tv. We sat on the spacious deck outside and enjoyed a beautiful view of ponderous pines and nearby deer grazing in the distance. Drawbacks were a bed we found to be uncomfortable to lay on after a hard day's ride. The toilet was low and very small. The gravel was hard to walk on and my girlfriend lost her balance several times. We were on an incline so it was difficult to get the bike in neutral and back down the long drive to level ground. The selection of tv channels were mostly old programs and qvc type channels. We were lucky to find accomodations at the last minute but my feeling is of gratitude and the customer service was exceptional. We've stayed in fancier cabins in the area but payed much more as well. read more

Having enjoyed stays in the Riverside cabins over the years, we opted to try one of the Hidden Canyon cabins this trip. Our cabin was extremely nice, well-appointed, and quite comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the deer and elk graze. We would highly recommend any of the Ruidoso Lodge properties to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Ruidoso. read more
