He was very engaging, a wonderful communicator, and we made our selections which started with the bacon wrapped dates (YUM). Prior to my order, I mentioned a dietary restriction and KC promptly went to the kitchen to make an inquiry. I ordered the trout with lentil ragout, and my husband ordered a margarita pizza. The atmosphere was very peaceful, with unintrusive music, and we really did enjoy getting to know KC as he made sure that we were satisfied with every plate. This restaurant is upscale, yet with value pricing. Altogether, my husband and I encourage you to enjoy a lovely meal, and make sure to ask for KC! You won't be disappointed!

Outstanding stuff. The seared ahi tuna was next level. The fish was fresh and beautifully seated and the mix of cucumber, aji amarillo, pineapple, cilantro and wasabi cream was sensational. One of the best dishes they make at Sixty Vines. The absolute best of the bunch was the truffle fries! They were amazing. They are basically crispy layered potatoes, almost like stacks of filo dough, fried and topped with pecorino, chives and lemon truffle cream. They were so good we ordered a second one! Considering how wonderful everything was to this point, we were expecting nothing but great things for the next course. However they completely dropped the ball and basically ruined our meal with lackluster entrees. Our party ordered the steak fries with chimichurri sauce, the double cabrenet burger, and several filet mignons. The amount of time it took to get the food was unreasonable. Once the appetizers were finished we had to wait somewhere around 20 to 25 minutes to get our mains, and the place was not that busy. I assume that the waitress just forgot or was busy with something else. As for the food, the quality of the steaks was not good all around. Everybody who got the filet mignon commented that the texture was chalky and weird. They were also all overcooked. And oddly, they decided to slice the steak before serving it, so it was very dry. Why would you pre slice a steak, all that's going to do is let the juices seep out and make the temperature drop. I honestly don't get it. The steak that came with the steak fries, I think it was a skirt steak, was also not the best cut. It was super fatty and a little chewy. The fries were good though but the meat was terrible. Finally the burger was completely overdone despite the person ordering it medium rare. Overall, not the best ending to a meal that started with such amazing dishes. Really striking contrast. And actually it made me think that I probably will not go back to Sixty Vines anytime soon. For a $350 meal they have to be doing a lot better. Dried out, overcooked steaks and burgers isn't going to cut it.

Sea Mario has been bookmarked on my Yelp for over a year. While trying to make some Valentine's…read moreplans, my husband asked where I wanted to go, and I immediately thought of this restaurant. Even a few weeks in advance, Valentine's Day was already booked, so we made a reservation for Valentine's eve. This is not a restaurant I would come to without a reservation because I saw people get turned away. Located in an unassuming little strip mall, you would never know that there is a sparkling gem of a place tucked in the middle of the shops. Parking can be a little tricky, but we were able to snag a spot in front. Inside, this quaint restaurant has such welcoming decor in black-and-white with some accent colors. There are lots of little knickknacks and decorations from Italy. When we entered, we were greeted by one of the owners, Nadia. We had a short wait before our table was ready. When seated, Nadia went over all the specials and answered our questions regarding her recommendations on the menu. Her husband, Mario, also assists with serving. He also greeted us later during our dinner to check in about our meal. Now let's get to the heart of this review...the food. As someone with Sicilian heritage, I have been fortunate to visit Italy and have had some pretty amazing fresh seafood and pasta dishes there. And of course, I've had wonderful Italian restaurant experiences here as well. But I have to say, Sea Mario tops the list. Before I discuss the food menu, I just want to point out they have an extensive wine list. The menu offers several selections whether one is vegetarian, wants steak/lamb instead of pasta, or has come here for the dishes 'di mare.' We started off with an appetizer. Arancini rice balls with mushrooms and cheese. The Arancini balls flanked a bowl of stracciatella cheese. This was a special appetizer not on the regular menu. It was fantastic and dare I say luxurious? (Please put in on the regular menu!) For our main courses, my husband had the Fettuccini Florida Golden Crab & Scallops. It was Caribbean Italian fusion inspired with a flavorful, but not (hot) spicy, pasta sauce. I opted for the Maine Lobster Catalana. I have had my share of seafood pasta dishes throughout my life, but when this entree was placed in front of me, the aroma was so fragrant that I knew I was in for something special. The pasta sauce was made with high-quality tomatoes and caramelized onions (which I think really aided this sauce and made it different). The dish had clams and, of course, succulent lobster tail and the claw meat. The lovely aroma was not a tease because the dish tasted excellent. If having freshly made pasta with lobster sounds appealing to you, this is the dish to get. (They make their own pasta and the seafood is very fresh.) We ended our meal by sharing a fresh cannoli. The shell was not hard like a typical cannoli, rather it had the consistency of a doughnut. The ricotta filling with pistachio was absolutely out of this world. The plate was beautifully decorated with a berry drizzle in the shape of a seahorse. As you can tell, I'm pretty smitten with Sea Mario. Everything was hot and came out relatively quickly and was made correctly. There was some sand in my clams, but I feel like that happens often when eating shellfish so I won't hold it against them. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday.
