My friend and I had dinner at Wine Garden to celebrate her recent engagement and it was such a beautiful little spot! The ambiance of the place is lovely, decorated with string lighting that looks so gorgeous at night. The patio area is much bigger than I anticipated and even has some larger tables for any larger parties. We started off with an appetizer of the peach burrata, which was tasty! I would give it 4/5. We then got wine flights which I thought were such a great value for the price. You get 3 small sized wine glasses for $15 and get to sample three wines! Definitely recommend this 5/5. As entrees, we shared two entrees - the pesto pasta and the gnocchi which at the time was made with a pork type of sauce. Both were very delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors of both. The consistency of the gnocchi's sauce was a bit interesting, as it was all sort of blended together, but the flavor was very good! Would give them each 4/5. We ended the night with tiramisu - delicious and the presentation was very cute. I haven't had very much tiramisu to compare against, but I'll give it 5/5 as I really enjoyed it! As for service, our waitress was very attentive and nice but note that they can get busy on weekend evenings, so expect a little bit of a wait. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed the food. My favorite part of the night were the ambiance and the wine flights. I hope to come back again soon! read more

We liked this place so much we went back three nights in a row. Sat at the bar every time--service was awesome, drinks were great, and the staff made it a really easy place to just hang out. Super friendly across the board. The vibe is the best part. The outdoor courtyard setup is really cool, especially at night. The skinny young girl with long hair and glasses at the front was very rude! If the rest of the experience hadn't turned things around, this review would've been a lot different. Thankfully, once we were seated, the night completely turned around. Our waitress was amazing! She had dark hair, spoke Spanish, and was one of the sweetest, friendliest servers I've had in a long time. She made us feel welcome right away, helped us with recommendations, and made the night enjoyable. I wish I could remember her name because she truly deserves recognition. Now for the food... Wow! I ordered the Quattro Formaggi pizza and OMG... if you love cheese, this is a must-try. It was absolutely delicious! Since everything on the menu looked so good, I also ordered the ragu bolognese, which was just as flavorful and comforting. To pair with the meal, I started with the Americano wine flight (highly recommend!) and then treated myself to a full glass of the GhostRunner Red Blend. Perfect choice! Extremely friendly environment. The kind of place where locals hang out and all know each others name. I've been 2-3 times and they already know my name. Good Italian food and good wine. (I wrote the rest of this review after visiting a few more times) People at the bar are eager to welcome you into the conversation, and I met several locals who were super cool. One dude even invited me to golf with his friends! There are a couple of staff members who were overtly warm, friendly, and fun. There are a couple others who seem unhappy and detached, but they didn't bother me and I didn't bother them haha! And to be fair I don't think they were mean, just maybe more business roles (a manager I think). The host was not super warm but she did her job fine. I went for dinner a few times and they had live music which was nice. But what makes Wine Garden awesome, besides the great bartender and friendly crowd, is the environment. You're outside, but you're in a little secret-feeling area surrounding by trees and the walls of the indoor seating areas. This makes you feel like you're not just randomly outside on a patio, but you're in this curated tucked-away world. 4/5 on the food. 5/5 on the wine. 6/5 on the vibe. And 7/5 on the crowd. I was very upset with the reviews of this restaurant. They are all lies!!! Someone stated that this place was tbe lagniappe of Broward. That person must have been the owner of this place bc it is such lies!!! Lagniappe has very good wine selection! This place absolutely does not. We love wines. We travel the world to different vineyards all the time. The wine selection in this place is awful. No good wines. We ordered a 36 dollar bottle which tasted like a cvs wine. The cvs wine might actually be better. The markup on these bottles is ridiculous on such bad bottles. For food we ordered the pizza and gnocchi. It looked microwaved to be honest. I have not had food that bad in a longggggggg time. Only reason this is getting two stars ans not one is that our server was very very nice and removed the bottle from our tab. The place is cute too. We made the reservation the day before for a party of 8 and they were very accommodating. When we showed up, we were sat in the garden and had a wonderful server (Estefania) who gave great recommendations on wines and food. Food and Drinks: We ordered a bunch of different wines and my partner got the American flight of red wine. All of them were pretty good and spot on to her recommendations, I had tried their moscato which was perfectly sweet. As for the food, we ordered Margarehita pizza, lasagna, pesto pasta and the Tuscan bread. The margherita pizza had a nice crunch to it; it wasn't overwhelming; could have used a bit more flavor but a good choice nonetheless. The lasagna however felt that it was not seasoned and lacked a lot of flavor. The ingredients were good but just did not taste as good as it sounded, I would not recommend it. The best food that we tried was the pesto pasta, it was flavorful, it was fresh, the tomatoes were juicy and was highly praised by everyone that tried it. Overall we had a great experience because of the ambiance and the lighting which gives it a perfect settings for going out, catching up or even a date. I would give the food a 3.5/5 but the setting and ambiance and drinks were 5/5. I would recommend this place to someone looking for a nice spot to have lunch or dinner at. My wife and I dropped in for a light snack on a rainy afternoon. It was during their happy hour which caught our attention. It's a great space and would be amazing in any other weather than the rain! However they did have inside seating which was nice and cozy. Again, we were just looking for a nibble, so we shared their happy hour margherita pizza. It was okay, but I suspect their regular pizzas are probably a bit better. The crust had some char and it was not too thick or chewy. We prefer a thinner crust and were hoping for that pizza even finish. Service was very good despite our light dining. They have a great menu, and I would be interested in trying some of their other offerings. Have only been here for drinks and it was a truly lovely experience. The awesome guy behind the bar was very attentive and helped us decide what wines to try. They have cool wine flights for $15. And the food smelled delicious. We were dining elsewhere so didn't get to try their food but we will definitely be back to do so - especially since they are dog friendly. Usually when I have a long layover, I make a plan before my trip, as it was, my hotel changed the night before I was to get to Ft. Lauderdale so I was just doing things on the fly. I ordered off the happy hour menu and got a nice montepulciano and I ordered the Margherita Americana. I mistakenly thought it would be a lite flatbread, being $8 on the happy hour menu. I had intentions to check out a Peruvian ceviche place later. What I got was like a medium sized pizza. Deliciously covered in cheese and smelling of basil. Woah. The crust had a good flavor and a bit of char, but was not allowed to rise to get any airiness to the crust. It was the same thickness from the crust to the middle, as if it had been pressed into a disk. That was really the only thing that could have been better. However it was still delicious. And instead of going for dinner later, I ended up walking back to my hotel with a pizza box full of leftovers. The ambiance was lovely, the service was on point, and I thought it was charming that they brought the check in a book. People would sign and leave little notes in the book. Parking is a little tough in the area but that's to be expected by the beach. The restaurant itself is surprisingly big and is all outdoors with a fun vibe. Tucked away, this hidden gem really sets the tone for a date night with the bistro lights in their garden strung over the tables where you can dine at. They have a lot of outdoor seating and some indoor seating. One of the times I came, they had a little market hidden with local vendors just in time for the holidays and gift shopping. Here's the problem that needed solving- 4 women + wine + Ladies night=?? Well where else but Ladies Night at the Wine Garden in Fort Lauderdale! Located just a block off the beach with plenty of street parking, this cute, hidden place (if there was a sign, I missed it) fit the bill on a recent Wednesday night when we were looking for a good place to catch up. First of all- the ambiance is cute. I heard that this is actually the backyard of an old 50's home and that's just how it felt. There are twinkling lights and a chandelier above, plenty of plants around and just an overall casual feel. They have flights of wine or on this night- given it was Ladies night- a selection of wines by the glass were only $6! Now that's a deal! Our server, Misty, was terrific, offering up suggestions on her favorites and keeping an ever watchful eye on any needs we might have. The menu has plenty of Italian favorites on it from a range of pizzas, to pastas, to entrees like lamb chops and steak. We decided to order 3 items to share and had the calzone, and the margherita and burrata pizza. I only took a pic of the Burrata pizza but the winner (in my opinion) was the Calzone stuffed with prosciutto, basil and ricotta cheese. Be still my prosciutto loving heart! The clientele as a mix of couples enjoying a night out, families who had wandered in from the beach and of course, all the ladies enjoying all that the Wine Garden has to offer on Ladies night! Another thing that was interesting is that there were booths set up outside selling jewelry and other items. Not sure if this was an every day experience or just for Ladies Night but it was fun to wander around and see what was available as shopping + wine is always a good combination. Given it's tucked in, follow your GPS and you should end up out front. My Uber driver asked, "is this it?" and I didn't know but figured I was close. Oh- they take reservations so you may want to make one especially during Season down here. Stop in for some wine, some good food and enjoy it in one of the cutest places around. Our circuit driver told us about this place and it was a quick 10 minute walk from our hotel. Talk about adorable with fairy lights and trees in an alcove we loved this place. Wine Garden is located within North Beach Village on Breakers Avenue a block from the beach. I was part of a group of ladies who came over after a nearby Yelp event. Amanda knew the owner from showing art here but since the city did away with almost all of the public beach parking I don't come this way much anymore. I think Wine Garden has just given me a reason to start coming back. Wine Garden is owned by Gregor Nilzen from Sweden. He started out wanting to be pilot before transitioning to the hospitality industry after 9/11. After working all over the world and in Texas he decided to move to South Florida where he met the owner of North Beach Village resorts who convinced him that his next venture should be a wine garden on Breakers Avenue. The indoor portion of the restaurant of the restaurant was a home from the 50's and the garden was created from what was the backyard. We sat in the garden which was a charming spot despite the dampness from the recent rainstorm and the hot and heavy air of a South Florida August evening. Chandeliers and string lights sparkled overhead and there are fire pits for when it gets cooler. The crux of the menu is affordably priced wine paired with Italian food, pizza, pasta, and salads. I enjoyed a limocello while others ordered a beautiful wine flight, delicious looking pasta, and Caprese salad. I tried a slice of the Margherita pizza which was very good. Note that groups of 6 or more have an automatic gratuity of 20 percent automatically added. It was so nice to enjoy fabulous good and drinks with stellar company.
