I visited on their trivia night for a date night, only a few participating tables and it was fun! The questions were difficult but we made it through and won a small prize for second place. Service was beyond friendly, and we chatted with one of the owners who was super welcoming. The perfect wine bar is difficult to find in Ft. Lauderdale although there are some we have been to that we liked, but seemed to lack "something", whether it be lack of enough great good items to pair, limited varieties of wines to try or just the overall atmosphere. UNTIL YESTERDAY. After reading a couple detailed reviews on Yelp for Through The Vine, I had to check this out. I knew immediately when we walked in, this was an intimate setting with great seating, decor and a comfortable bar with wine varieties on display staring right at us and above us from the ceiling. I could tell this place was all about great wines , some you can't find in other places. Checking their selection out on the menu that confirmed it. We sat at the bar, as usual, and met Cameron, our bartender and server. She was really focused on giving us the best first time experience and she was welcoming. Attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. We wanted to try something different in a wine and when we started to ask about some of the wines, she knew to introduce Jason to us. Jason is part owner and sommelier. He picked up on what we liked by the questions we asked and presented us with two choices, also making sure we knew the price comparisons, which was very admirable. We chose the Galantas Cabernet Franc from Chili which ended drinking perfectly for what we described we wanted. The menu, as well, had great choices. A great variety of cheeseboards and Charcuterie boards, Fresh Shucked Oysters, Flatbreads, Bruschetta, Cavier, Salmon Crostini, Hummus, soup and salads to name the highlights. Although the cheeseboards and Charcuterie boards we saw come out were so tempting, serving sizes I've not seen in a wine bar, we opted to start with the Salmon Crostini. Five large banquets with generous portion of a Smoked Salmon topped with trout roe over a delicious crème, drizzled with a Balsamic Glaze for that extra flavor. This is one of the seafood choices not to be missed. Next we ordered the Heirloom Tomato and Burrata, another standout. The Burrata serving was large, enough for us to share. To finish off our great bottle of wine, we ordered the Margarita Flatbread with Prosciutto. This portion was definitely a much larger portion than any wine bar I've been to and is also meant to be shared. Also the most delicious flavors I've had on any Flatbreads. Had a delicious combination of cheeses, fig spread, truffle honey and fruit. All the food items on the menu have suggested wine pairings which is a nice touch. Good indication that their culinary expertise is as important as the wines. Also unusual for a wine bar where most use the food as an accompaniment to the wines. There is a happy hour from Wed-Friday from 4-6. Great prices on wines by the glass, beer and food. There is also a large outdoor seating area I found my spot thanks to Yelp reviews on this. We made plans to meet a friend for drinks, and we all had seen this place on Instagram. We all had it bookmarked so decided to try it together. I got a reservation for 3, without any issues, and added that we had just gotten engaged. Saturday at 6pm we were there, on time, and our table was ready. They gave us the option to sit inside or outside, but being rainy season, the humidity was high so inside we chose. The way they did the wine wall, that goes up to the ceiling like a wave is very cool, and love that they didn't over decorate the place, making this the "centerpiece". The lady that was taking care of us was very nice, allowed us to try some wine and made recommendations. She was very knowledgeable, and believe she said she was a sommelier. I am not a white wine drinker, but always try to find some to like. So far, I had 2 on my list, and she helped me find a 3rd one that I could enjoy from time to time. She also helped us decide on a bottle to share after our first glass and kept coming back to refill our glasses. The cheeseboard was great too, 4 different cheeses, assorted nuts, fruits, honey, fig jam and toast. Very beautifully presented. They have a lot more on the menu that this can be a place not only for the glass of wine but for dinner too. When we asked for the check, she came out with a cheesecake (on the house) to celebrate our engagement, and the manager also came out to congratulate us. The experience was already excellent, but them paying attention to the notes on the reservation and going that extra step to celebrate with us made even more special. Finally! This place has literally been a long time coming. I remember first spotting the "coming soon" sign at the bottom of the EON building back in March 2023 (not a typo). I had just been laid off and was doing lots of walks through the neighborhood, and passed by it regularly. TBH I didn't know if it would ever actually open, so very glad it did. Popped in today during the soft opening and it was already such a vibe. Cute place with knowledgeable staff and lots of wines by the glass or bottle. They really know their stuff, specifically Jason the owner and Ozzy the bartender. They offered great recs and I went out of my comfort zone. The Clos de Los Siete is an amazing red blend. I only wish they had wine flights. Fingers crossed that's coming soon (hint hint if you're reading this!). Jason did say they are opening in phases. It's only a 4-minute walk from me and a great addition to Flagler Village. Feels like the start of a new regular spot. Great wine, good vibes and dangerously close to home! Okay, so it's street parking and you use the pay to park app to pay about 3$/hour. Bathrooms are both one room and unisex. Now I ordered the rose. They hadn't updated their menu so the only glass option was listed as 11$ and this one the "rose blood rose" was 15$. I was not made aware of this. Not a crazy price difference but it would've been worth bringing up. Now I loved this wine it was crisp and light. Not too sweet. My friend had been raving about their charcuterie board so I was excited to go. And this is where it went downhill. First, I'm gluten free so I asked the waitress if the crackers were gluten free. She said she would check and came back later and asked us about food. She never had checked and still didn't know. There was maybe 7 people at the restaurant at this time. So, not busy. She just didn't ask. Then I said it's fine so can you give me some veggies on the side by any chance like some cucumbers or something. And she said "no problem at all, totally got you." And the board came out and there were no veggies on it. Which would have been fine but she told me it was an easy fix. Now onto the board. We spoke directly with Jason the part owner about it. There were a lot of issues that he didn't seem to care about. And I love a local business so I would normally not have given such low stars but he didn't seem to care much about the issues. The presentation was super sloppy it was laughable that they said a chef put it together. I am a private airline flight attendant and have to procure high quality boards for my clients often. They would be livid at this display. So the display was just basic randomly cut cheese not cut according to cheese packaging or design. It was a small amount of cheese for a 40$ board and Jason kindly told us they have a "standing Winn Dixie order" for the cheese. So I paid 40$ for 3oz of random cheap cheese. The cheddar was waxy and old, the "port wine" cheese had no flavor etc. furthermore the cheeses listed on the menu were not the ones provided. In response to possibly the worst olives I've ever had. I literally spit them out they were so bad. Like had gone bad, bad. And that's coming from an olive lover it's hard to get me to not like an olive and Jason's response was "yeah, that's a pretty common response we've gotten to the olives," that they literally taste expired and he obviously doesn't care because he served it to us without apology. We were supposed to hav truffle honey which my friend had been raving about and in response to it not coming they said oh sorry that's too bad because it's very good...like well it would have been great to have what we paid for. They put literal boars head mortadella (literally told us this was what it was by Jason the owner) on the board that tasted like bologna. Which is not something I would want on my 40$ charcuterie. Meats were sweaty and 3 slices of salt and pepper salami, and some hard salami. The marcona almonds that came with it were good but they had them on the gluten side plate which I'm not sure why so I didn't eat it but my friend said it was awesome. The lone jewel of the plate. Now in conclusion: Presentation was disappointing, cheese is from Winn Dixie, bologna was included in the board, olives were expired, cheeses listed on menu were not the cheeses on the board, truffle honey not included and we were told by staff too bad because it's amazing and yet still no one brought it to us. My friend said this board has drastically changed since the last time she went. And this was severely underwhelming and she was sorry she recommended it. Overall just go to Winn Dixie and make this board for 15$ at home it will be the same price. I paid 15$ for my glass of wine that the bottle costs 21$. Like I said had the owner seemed to care about any of this I would have a compeltley different review but since he knew and simply didn't care. How can you hear multiple people say the olives taste expired and literally do nothing about it is an actual health hazard. I heartily do not recommend this business. Literally go anywhere else. Or go to your local grocery store and grab something from there. I bet it would taste better. Also, when we asked about the honey from the server the owner and the server talked about our table right next to us without acknowledging us, a real owner manager would have come over and asked us if anything was wrong. Obviously they didn't train their servers or their owners very well. I doubt this restaurant will last and unfortunately it's for the best. read more

A new Flagler village wine bar... yes please! Came here for their grand opening with some friends. Good vibe. They had a DJ playing some great tunes. Curious if they will keep that up during the weekend or if it was just for the opening. The service was friendly. A bit slower but for opening night it was actually pretty good. Onto the food. The menu is upscale bar bites so of course we had to try a variety of options. The Salmon Crostini, so so good! If you like these ingredients GET IT! Probably the best bite of the night. The hummus had good flavor. The charcuterie was okay, the components were definitely there but maybe needs some fine tweaking such as cheese knife and letting the cheese soften a bit. The margarita flatbread had a nice crust on it. They had a variety of wines. Really nice selection. We did a red and rose. I would recommend they extend the menu a bit by adding some descriptions for the wines, however the servers were helpful with great recommendations. We had heard of this place a couple weeks ago, so when an invite came to meet up there the other day we were looking for to a good time. We popped in a little early in the evening. The exterior walls are all glass so before we even walked in we knew the place wasn't full yet We had a table rez so grabbed our table and dug into the wine options. I started my palate with a simple prosecco. everyone else got different whites and a red. The server was kind and had the drinks out pretty quick. After a suitable cheers to start the night i took a sec to appreciate the interior. The eye catching part is the sweeping backdrop behind and above the bar of different colored bottles. It does look pretty cool. There's also some other nice touches to the simple design like a 8 foot tall bottle of wine. We did get into a couple more glasses. they dont have too man options by the bottle but we did try a few diffrent things. We also got a cheese plate that was exceptional. It had a couple surprises in the mix along with some great standard cheeses as well. I live in Flagler and am so excited about this new addition to the neighborhood! I came for the Happy Hour, and though it was fairly crowded, I was luckily able to be seated right away. Their menu looks pretty extensive, and we opted for the margarita flatbread which was solid and a good starter/appetizer. I have been so excited for this wine bar to open. They are having their soft opening this week, and opening on Friday. I stopped in here for a glass of wine with one of my girlfriends on our way to dinner. First of all, the space is exactly what FLL needed for a wine bar: small, but elevated. One of the owners knew so much about wine, the chef was so kind, and Briour bartender was very nice. We didn't expect to eat, but saw they had oysters and had to order them. How many times have you walked into a supposedly upscale wine bar, choose a safe Chardonnay or Cabernet from their listless wine menu, and it tastes like a glass of warm sweat filled with malice? THIS IS NOT THAT WINE BAR. Through the Vine commands an impressive wine list, with options that you can't just find at Publix. They are a true wine bar, so you're covered if you want to try some excellent vintages, but not if you want a whiskey neat. There are other places for that. TTV has a fairly expansive menu, which isn't dominated by small plates. So, yes, you can actually eat dinner there and not have to get a slice of pizza in an hour (they have pizza). The atmosphere is uniquely wine-centric. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and will allow you to sample most vintages before you commit. I mean, be cool. Don't ask them to open a $250 bottle of wine so you can try a sip. Here are just a few notes to help you enjoy your visit: The construction seems pretty sturdy. Building collapses are unlikely. I ordered a charcuterie board for myself and it was gargantuan. I pretended I wanted to share it with the people around me but they declined. I couldn't have been happier. They have trivia on Wednesdays. I've never had a problem getting mugged in the bathroom. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but that is not my experience. Download the PayByPhone app before you go because we no longer live in a day when you have to carry around a sock full of quarters to pay the meter. If you think you're going to have more than three glasses of the same wine, by the bottle. You can always take the extra home, and it's cheaper. Through the Vine has been open less than a year, which means you can technically still be one of those people who says, "I've been coming here since they opened," but also, don't be that person. Seriously, if you're a jerk, stay away. I don't want you f---ing up one of my favorite places to wreck a plate of salted meats. read more

The server that helped us with our wines was not able to answer basic questions about the types of wines. They were not able to uncork the bottles either and did not let one of us taste either after it was finally opened. One of the other managers came by and we inquired about their orange wines. They said they couldnt open any however unless we brought more people with us. Not a good way to launch yourself during a soft opening. I arrived close to closing time, just about an hour and a half before the place closed, and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. But the experience went beyond that--he also suggested I try something different, and I agreed. Wow, what a delightful surprise! I loved the recommendation so much that I ordered a glass of it.
