I sent my daugh to get a used tire since I've used them before for my vehicle. They have her a tire with no tread and put the lug nuts on so tight they stripped them. I had to buy 4 new tires, lug nuts and wheel studs and have Pep Boys put them on. Pep Boy tech said La Raza used the wrong tool to tighten the lug nuts and stripper them and bent the studs. I'm really disappointed. The last time I was here my truck left this place with tires wobbling and shaking. This time the same thing happened so I brought it back and told the guy maybe he should drive it to see. No no he knew what to do...so back I go onto the road and I haven't gotten a quarter mile before turning back around due to crazy vibrations and shaking. It was so loud too. So I pull back in and one of the guys calls the other who's been trying to fix my tires but just not cutting it and I hear something loud slam in the shop. I'm wondering if hes pissed because he expects me to just be quiet about a major shaking in my ride or what but he takes the tires off and checks them and puts them back on again. I even gave the guy an extra 20 and a really nice tool bag because I thought he had finally corrected the issue....but he didnt. It's better by half but still very much there. I'm at the point that I just dont know what to do anymore. Maybe its beyond the skills of these guys to balance a tire? Three chances I gave them and I'm tired of wasting gas going to vallejo from benicia. Maybe it's time to find someone else? I'm really bummed cause I thought it was fixed. Called ahead to check that they had the tires size I needed for my car. I originally asked to replace only my fronts but last minute changed to changing all four corners. They told me that rears were still good and only changed the fronts which clearly needed changing. They were honest and didn't feel the need to take advantage of me for not knowing enough. Place is very modest in appearance but don't let that deter you from giving this local business at least one or more chances. Give them a ring and they'll do what they can to help! I called this place for two used tires and size, and when I got there both father and son were waiting with jacks and my tires at the front. In seconds, my car was hoisted up and wheels worked on. In minutes I have two good looking matching used tires. When it was time to pay, the father walked me into their environmentally light friendly counter, "peached darkness....not recommended for women, hehehe". Then to my surprise, the father turned on their 500 watt portable lamp momentarily on the counter so I can punch my pin in. Nice touch to keep keep their customer warm while running their payments;). It surely felt like getting your food at a food truck....8 minutes top....I was out. This is the fastest car service I ever received. Tooo coool!
