The only reason I gave 4 stars is because this hotel does not have an elevator, which can get a little bit exhausting with luggage. There is a guy that can help you, but he is pretty busy and you have to wait a little bit so we ended up carrying up our luggage by ourselves. Everyone at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming and the coffee shop that is attached was really cute. I would definitely stay here again if I went to Seattle. I love the old school charm of the building and I am glad that they are redoing the wallpaper and such because there definitely is an old smell to the building which is unavoidable. I will say also that there is a smell of stale smoke in the common building carpet so if you are sensitive to scent, just keep that in mind. The room was really spacious and even had an extra area that could be an office. No complaints! The air conditioner, and the ceiling fan were bonuses. Some free coffee in the lobby would be a nice addition for your guests, but they did give water upon check-in which was needed! The lady at the front desk also switched our room so we could check in a few hours early, which was a huge relief since we wanted to explore Seattle before our show. I would like to file a complaint about one of your breakfast attendants in the Orchard Room on July 3 at approximately 8:45 a.m. My experience was extremely uncomfortable and unlike anything I have ever experienced at a hotel. In fact I don't think I ever experienced in my life and I been to many hotels! I arrived about 10 minutes before breakfast ended because I wanted to grab a croissant and a coffee to go. I was the only guest in the breakfast area at the time. From the second I walked in, the breakfast attendant was staring directly at me. Then she literally started FOLLOWING ME around and COMPLAINING on everything I was doing. Like she was coming up to me and literally RIGHT NEXT TO ME and staring at what I was getting and then glaring at my face. WTF. Like for example, when i was getting the croissant, she was angry I was using a napkin to carry the croissant instead of my hand...I literally paid $170 for the night and I can't use a napkin to carry my croissant?? I never had someone do that at a hotel before, it was inappropriate and super unprofessional. She had an angry and crazed bizarre look on her face, just angrily glaring at me and literally following me around the small room. It was SUPER unsettling and unhinged behavior, I was the only one in the room and that made it more uncomfortable. None of the other staff members I interacted with during my stay behaved this way. Every other employee was friendly, welcoming, and professional. While I was getting coffee, she came up to me and asked why I was using two coffee cups. I had simply placed one cup over the other because the coffee was very hot and I wanted to make it easier to carry. Being questioned over something so minor, especially after being stared at and followed around the room, felt completely unnecessary and inappropriate. At that point, I decided to leave the breakfast area because I no longer felt comfortable staying there. As I was walking out, she sarcastically called out, "Thank you for coming," which felt mocking given how she had treated me. Then she started following me around again after I didn't want to talk to her because I was so creeped out!!! For identification purposes, she appeared to be an older thin woman with pale skin, glasses, and faint reddish eyebrows. I have never had a hotel employee stare at me, follow me around a breakfast area, and then question me over using two coffee cups. It made me feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and singled out. I hope management reviews this incident and reminds staff that guests should be able to enjoy breakfast without feeling like they are being monitored or intimidated. The location was perfect too with a patio but, unfortunately with the wet & windy weather we didn't go out. We hosted our dad's 85th birthday here December 20, 2025 in the Anderson Ballroom. Matt was so friendly, accommodating and just pleasant to deal with. He gave us menus, options that were clear and answered our questions fast. When we met in person, we knew this was the spot not just for the view and ballroom but, by Matt's personality and smile. Keisha also was great with our block of rooms for our family. It was the 1st time our family was complete in over 10 years so this was really memorable for us. The Christmas decorations, the tree, the centerpieces and the FOOD. Everyone is still raving about how excellent the venue and party was. We checked in for the weekend and were greeted with a smile and ALOHA from Shawn. He always asked if our family needed anything or what he can do to make our stay better. Truly appreciated that. The chai tea latte was a hit. Never had that option at a venue before but it was the perfect touch for the cold weather. The staff during the event were awesome. So friendly, so attentive and always asked if we needed anything. Appreciate you all. Friends were even asking for more information to host a future wedding and event there...I gladly gave them Matt's contact information. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The lobby of the Anderson Ballroom was perfect for our family portraits as well. The location was key to many restaurants, bars within walking distance as well. And, family even hopped on the light rail to do some last minute shopping at Bellevue Square. I can't thank you enough, Matt, Keisha, Shawn, Kelly and the rest of the catering and hotel staff at Hilton Garden Inn, Redmond. The building and amenities are a bit date but not to the point they need urgent remodeling or anything. It looks to be built in the late 90s or early 2000s and has been maintained well. My parent's room was on the 6th floor (top floor) and it was a suite. It was surprisingly HUGE. They had enough room to set up a little office space and put all their luggage and such without problems. They serve full bfast between 6am and 9am everyday and I got to join them one morning. The food wasn't like... a Michelin star quality or anything but they had pretty much everything you would imagine a hotel bfast would have. Boiled eggs, fruits, cereal, oatmeal, sausages, pastries (like bagels and toast), juices, coffee, self-serve waffle station, omelets, biscuits and gravy, etc.! There is a little tip basket towards the exit but they don't pressure you to leave a tip or anything. On the morning I visited, the place was filled with a bunch of students and their parents. I asked one of them and there was a national gymnastics event going on nearby. A hotel like this would be a perfect place to stay during a local event like that. Clean, friendly, and affordable hospitality! Parking is free (no valet) and the lot is right in front and surrounding the hotel. The location is very close to the I-90 freeway so it is extremely convenient.

Common areas are awful - you can see from the pictures that the hotel is dirty. There are stains and dust everywhere. The common area trash can is overflowing. 2. Room -Spacious but dirty. The lounge chair had what looked like a period stain in the center. The room was not visited for cleaning until we went to the front desk to tell them to please come clean it. This was on the 3rd day. There were other guests complaining about the same thing. Beds: NOT comfortable at all. Not much cushion and "bumpy" Pillows: Great pillows 3. Atmosphere - there was noise all the time. The air conditioner was not working properly and there were water pipe noises all night long. A water pipe broke and we had to evacuate the hotel for a few hours one night but the noise was every day prior and after the pipe incident. 4. Breakfast - The breakfast buffet was missing serving utensils. People were using their hands to serve themselves cereal/oatmeal topics. There was dirt and dust all over. It was very disgusting. The only reason you see spoons in the serving dishes is because I put them in there myself. 5. The staff was friendly EXCEPT for one lady by the name of Kristin that worked in the breakfast service. I felt harassed by her. She was literally mocking me. I found her behaviour unacceptable and management appeared to not want to deal with the issue. The manager told me to call the outsourced 1800 number. 6. Snack room.- well stocked, typical hotel prices, the one thing I noticed was that staff (mainly the manager "Trae" would randomly decide who she would charge for snacks and who would get them for free. I did not think that was professional. I was sitting in the lobby for hours working because I found their office space too small and dirty. I was able to observe her selling snacks to some guests while giving snacks for free to others. I was even the recipient of free snacks so I know for a fact that she would show preferential treatment to some guests. Overall I would never stay in this hotel again, not because of the dirt because I actually take my own wipes and lysol spray and clean my hotel rooms when I travel, but because I felt insulted, accosted and threatened by Kristin and my perception was as if no one wanted to do anything substantial to address the issue other than tell Kristin to stay away from me. I even decided to leave the hotel for a couple of days to see if administration would take more serious measures on the issue. Kristin was told to stay away from me by her immediate supervisor, front desk staff, and the general manager but Kristen continued to approach me and my roommate. It was an awful frightening experience for me. It is impossible to contact hotel management outside the hotel itself. I was told by the 1800 number I was given that they are a contracted service to take complaints but that they do not have any other authority. The hotel general manager told me she could not give me her immediate supervisor's contact information nor leave them a message to contact me.
