My wife and I had a couples massage. It was not worth the money. Our 60 minute massage was only 45 minutes and one of the massage therapists would step away and take her time getting back to do her job. Yeah! Another beautiful facial from Rita! I refuse to go to anyone else now! In additional to the facial, I also tried a massage - a first one for this self-conscious body. My technician for this was (sorry if I've misspelled) - Lau - and was wonderful too! I was surprised at how strong she was - enough that I had to ask for a bit lighter touch - which she adjusted immediately and was perfectly relaxing for the remainder of the treatment. My favorite thing to note - towards the end when she was doing my tensed up shoulders and neck, she asked what I did - travel agent - and said, oh computers. Then she asked me what the good deals were for travel - and as I was thinking, really? - she said - oh never mind, you are here to relax. YEAH! That is how a spa treatment should be conducted. As always the other folks were great at the spa. Because this was a package, it included a spa meal of a chicken ceasar salad and a drink - mmm mimosa. My only complaint would be to offer a choice for the meal - not a fan of salads myself, but the hubs enjoyed a free lunch! read more

Went here and got a full leg and underarm wax from Megan. It was absolutely fabulous. She was quite thorough and it was the least painful wax I've had. I highly recommend her. The spa itself was wonderfully maintained and the staff were quite helpful and professional. La Rive Spa is a must for me now whenever I am going to be in the area. read more

Very expensive for just a pedicure!! I don't think I will come back. But customer service was great and I love the high end products.

I love this spa! It's my go to place when I need to get away. I always get the deep tissue massage and order a cheese plate for after. They bring you a mammosa and they do not talk your head off during your service. Worth every penny. I will be back! read more

After spending several hundred dollars at Maselow's the night before, having a fun celebration in a suite upstairs and then down at the night club, my husband booked me a massage the morning of my birthday. Up until I got to La Rive, I was overwhelmed with how great the customer service was. UNTIL I got to the spa. I walked in only to be greeted by a VERY unfriendly woman (Sunday morning, 1/14) who told me my husband had accidently booked a couples massage (he didn't and had the email to prove it) and that we would have to pay for it anyway. I told her he would never have booked that since he wasn't the massage type and she said "call him anyway." She then told me to wait for someone to come get me for my massage. It was very unwelcoming. I just stood around and looked at things in the shop until someone got me. I then had the most rushed tour of the spa. I was like wait, aren't I supposed to be relaxing? I felt like they were bothered to have me there. She then deposited me in a room to change and gave me no further instructions so I sat there in what felt like the locker room of the gym (no slippers provided, I had to ask for some) until my massage girl came to get me. After that, it was fine. The massage was very nice as was the provider. I have been to many very nice spas both here in Spokane and in Las Vegas and I've never had such an unfriendly "welcome" or gotten the feeling that I was in someone's way. It was a very odd vibe, very rushed. When we checked out of the hotel later, we were told I hadn't checked out of the spa so they hadn't put that charge on our bill yet. Checked out? I was never even told what to do after my massage! I just tried a few doors until I found my way out! In the end, it wasn't my husband's mistake and he didn't have to pay for the couple's massage but we never got an apology for that and I do not think I'll be back to La Rive anytime soon. This was such an amazing experience. I booked the Relax and Revive package at the resort and it included a $100 gift card to La Rive. My guy and I went and have a wonderful time. Everything was so nice. The initially split us up and took us to the Mens/Womens sections. I had wine and snacks while I waited. I also had a great time in the Experimental Shower (I need one of those at home). I took a Citrus Shower and then they brought us back together for our couple's massages. They were so good, perfect pressure, I didn't want it to end. Then we met up in the Co-ed Jacuzzi, had more drinks and relaxed until they closed. I love the vibe, the attentiveness and the decor of this place. Will definitely return. read more

A friend and I went for pedicures. One of the staff talked throughout the entire visit not giving us time to visit. The gal that did mine reprimanded me for putting my feet in front of the Jets saying I would splash water everywhere. Both of our pedicures were bad. The polish bubbled and looked horrible. My friend called the next day and was given a re-do. I called two days later (and sent an email) but never got a response. So I emailed the director. Our visit to the spa was July 11, today is Aug. 5th and still no response from either Lindsay or Yvonne. I will never go back and would recommend that any wanting good service use the Davenport spa. read more

My daughter and I went to this spa for a girls day to have a shellac manicure. We had Christina. Qhen I had originally scheduled it was with someone completely different. Christina was nice, but not what very professional. I wanted a design on a couple of my nails, and she stated they didn't have that "capability". So I went with sparkles. I did like them until 2 days later and I had several of my nails chip. And she had charged me an extra $15 to take my previous gel polish off. So all in all it cost me $65. I was less than pleased. I called the day after my nails chipped. The lady got me in right away. For a redo. I was supposed to be scheduled with Taylor, got someone different yet again. She was nice, but again the polish chipped a couple of days later. I will never go back. Very disappointed. read more

I have no clue how this place has so many low reviews, my experience was exceptional. I decided to give an hour massage here a try when they were running a special. The masseuse was warm, friendly and made sure she was hitting the right areas. I wasn't rushed, and I was shown where everything is before hand plus had plenty of time to enjoy all (and i mean ALL) the amenities. I definitely suggest to get there about 30 mins early so you have enough time before your appointment as the masseuse was right on time. The lounge area is comfortable enough, they have a cool (and sorta scary once you try it) experimental shower..plus with spa services you get access to the co-ed Jacuzzi room and also the hotels pool and jacuzzi area which is located right next to the spa. I also found out, if you ever just want to use the amenities for a day, they will let you for $20 which is kinda cool if you just want some time to relax in the jacuzzi or the pool. You just need to call ahead to make sure they arent too booked (if they are they may not have the additional room for extra people in the jacuzzi area). Everyone was super friendly and would check on me occasionally throughout my stay. The wine upon arrival was also a nice touch. The ONE downfall is I am plus sized with a larger chest and the robes do run kinda small so that made things a little awkward trying to walk around without my boobs falling out, but I can't really blame them for that. Also, I would have liked to be able to tip a little extra but they automatically just ran the card with a 20% tip. Definitely would recommend this place! read more

My family has been here for Girls Days and bridal party outings and can't say enough nice things about the ladies and services here. Everything from entering the spa, the atmosphere, and the incredibly nice and professional ladies that work here, make it a wonderful experience. You will feel truly pampered even if you are only getting one treatment. Twice we've been to the spa for pedicures and they treat you like you are there for a complete spa day. Had a LOVELY 60-minute Signature Massage experience with my mom. Rachael was my massage therapist and she was very intuitive and seemed to know exactly what my body needed! My mom really enjoyed her massage by Jennifer (hope I remember the name correctly). 5 stars to both of them! The spa itself was nice and I am glad we came on a weekday as I could see it getting very busy/crowded on weekends. The therapy pool was nice (pretty much a not-too-hot version of a large hot tub), and the sauna was good. The experiential shower was a bit superfluous and kind of silly (think: color changing lights, pulsing water, dramatic music, and drastic temperature changes that you have no control over, haha), but an experience none the less. The only thing that confused me was when we were initially showed around and were told we could have our street shoes on while checking out the sauna, therapy pool room, lounge, etc--that didn't seem sanitary or appropriate for the space. (They provide slippers for you while you're there, but still...I don't think anyone should be walking around in street shoes at all in places like the sauna etc, even to just check the space out). The towels could also be softer--they were pretty rough. When I think of a nice spa, I think of nice, thick, soft towels too, but of course this isn't a huge deal just some feedback for the spa. We also at lunch while at the spa which was convenient and yummy. Overall, a very good experience and I'm looking forward to visiting again and getting another massage, hopefully with Rachael or the massage therapist my mom had! read more

The atmosphere is relaxing while the massage is happening. There were some very rude guests in the men's lounge portion. They were very messy and left towels and bottles of water everywhere. These people refused to pick up after themselves though there are containers for towels and garbage cans everywhere. I complained about how noisy and rude they were to the "concierge" and they basically said to deal with it because they are regular guests who spend money there. After complaining about how rude the guests were to the spa attendant, I got the opportunity to speak with the spa director. Yvette or Yvonne Smith or something. What a class action bitch. She was very rude and highly unprofessional. I understand that they do not want to remove paying customers but when they are creating issues they should be talked to. The director acted as if I had asked for a full refund. I never asked for anything more to have the other guests talked to about their noise level and profanity. I was told by the director that I could purchase a day pass and come back when the other guests had left and maybe I would have better luck. First of all, if I pay as much as I did for a massage, I should get the privilege of using the spa amenities throughout my visit. Ms. Smith was very condescending and beyond unprofessional on multiple levels. How a large business can keep someone like her on payroll is beyond me. Employees are the face of the company and a spa should be inviting enough that you would want to come back willingly. I wouldn't go back if the entire stay was comped. I did speak with a (manager?) Named Rita and she was sincerely apologetic and made the experience a bit more relaxing. The experimental shower was a different feeling. The touch screen buttons had to be pushed fairly hard and the water went from ice cold to super hot almost instantly. Anyone who ever lost hot water in the middle of a shower knows that that is one of the worst most unrelaxing feelings ever. I will say the massage room itself was nice and quiet and the therapist was very polite and it was relaxing. Overall I would give it a one star due to the awful management and concierge staff combined with the group of very obnoxious and rude clients. They really only care about your money and getting it into their cash register. Whether you are relaxed or not does not matter to them. I would not recommend La Rive spa to anyone while the current manager is in charge. They charge way too much for the "quality" of service you get. The CDA resort and the Davenport have not only better prices but you can tell they genuinely care about making your stay all about you and how relaxed you get at the best value possible. read more

I have always heard such good things about this spa and how it's a high end experience, so when my sister told me we were going for pedicures the week of her wedding I was ecstatic! However over all the experience wasn't as amazing as I envisioned. We arrived a few minutes early and had to wait for someone to come up to the front desk to check us in. The lady was very professional but rushed us and split us up and had me and my sister in law go get our pedicures started while the other three got tours and shown their lockers. Me and my sister in law asked to go get in robes and the tenant seemed annoyed and rushed us to get to our pedicure chairs. The nail techs were great though! Super cheerful and great at their job. I was a little disappointed I was charged $15 for a polish removal and wasn't told prior that it would be that much or a charge at all or I would have removed it myself. Besides that though the spa was very nice, Stephanie was great and we enjoyed the over all experience. I just wish it was more of a relaxing start and we all didn't feel rushed and hurried at the beginning. read more

I had Gina, I found her to be very friendly, she even told a cute little joke. I've never had my polish last this long before, two weeks and not even one chip. This was my first time at a day spa, and it was absolutely AMAZING! I received a massage, facial, and scalp treatment. There is a womens lounge, and I suggest coming in early or plan to stay after your treatments. There is a jacuzzi, sauna, and showers with 4+ shower heads, and they are incredible. For a first timer, I was so comfortable. The ambiance relaxes you before you even get started, and the staff was top notch. I cannot wait to return =) read more

Excellent experience! Amazing service! When I checked in I was greeted immediately by a happy young woman named Casey. She showed me around the spa and was very detailed with explaining the process. I was there for a haircut and I am extremely happy with the whole day. Taylor cut my hair and she was very friendly and polite. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted done with my hair and she was very understanding and helpful. I will definitely be going back! Great service and friendly staff. read more

This is not worth the money. I have had my hair done, messages, and facials here. If you want your hair done- forget it. You will be disappointed. Messages are okay if you get the right person. Facials are great if you request Rita. They promise a lot and deliver very little. Just find a different place. read more
