I read the reviews and still questioned how good Mexican food could be on the Oregon coast. I came away impressed and will certainly be back. Updated menu photos included for reference.

I have a definite Pavlovian response to weather warming up because I grew up in Arizona. When it's warm/hot, I want Mexican food. This has been a little difficult in Oregon and even harder at the coast. It is not the same. We have been to the two other usual Mexican Lincoln City spots a few times over the years with my former in laws. They are ok. But not delicious, not really. Pretty gringo- ish. Which is so sad. The kid and his BF had gone to La Roca on a date recently after our Latina phlebotomist at Samaritan gave it a positive report. The kids liked it. So today on chemo day we kept breakfast light and picked up takeout after. The woman on the phone was efficient and promised 15 minutes for pickup! We were lucky and scored parking right in front. At 3pm it was busy. It is cute inside. Kid got fish tacos and a horchata. Why mess with perfection? he said. I didnt get to see him eat cuz I stepped out of the room for five min when we got home. INHALED ! I got a carne asada plate. Everything was delicious. The beans and rice were just right. There were 3 soft warm tortillas. It was not hella expensive like some (most) other coast places. In the bag we found tasty yummy red and hot green salsas, , chips, plasticware, napkins, and everything was packaged and plated well. Awesome. I am a very happy camper and we will do it again. The kid is a fan too.

I asked for two cheese enchiladas red sauce. They brought me a full meal with mole sauce. Tool 15 min to get my drink and it wasn't busy.

Yum! I've been eating La Roca since the 90s in Philomath, and I was so pleased to stop here in Lincoln City. My order used to be the super burrito split in half with my best friend. Today, I got a carne asada burrito covered in chili verde sauce. The flavors were just like I remembered and I enjoyed it very much. I brought half of it home and it was great the next day too! Gracias, Nuñez familia!

The vibe was great. But the salsa was bland and so was the the steak fajitas. Maybe just an off night

When we got the message our table was ready they whisked us right in. The view from our table was fantastic. Looking around it stuck out to me everyone was smiling and excited to get their food. When we got our food it was fantastic. The clam chowder was not too thick and not too thin and very tasty. The fish was very fresh and cooked to perfection. A great experience and for what we got the price was very reasonable. Will 100% be going back.

A one-hour wait in the middle of the week is kind of crazy, even in summer, but the food usually makes it worth it. Our server was absolutely wonderful -- friendly, attentive, and just easy to like. I ordered the scallops, and I am not kidding when I say they were some of the biggest scallops I have ever seen. They were cooked beautifully -- incredibly tender and succulent. I do wish they had a little more flavor, and the risotto was probably my least favorite part of the plate, but honestly, it was all about those scallops anyway. We also ordered the Oysters Rockefeller. They were good, but they were LOADED. There was so much bacon and topping on them that the oyster itself almost disappeared. At one point it felt more like a bacon shooter than an oyster. Still good though and we definitely ate them. Kyllo's is busy for a reason. We'll be back, just like we always are when we come to the coast.

I ordered two of the cheesy double beef burritos. I asked again if there was rice in those and she mumbled something and I said OK well if there is rice in them, I want the rice left out just have them make them without the rice and she said OK. Does everything look correct on the screen? I said yes it does. I saw the two burritos for $5.98. She then ask if I wanted any kind of sauce with it and I said yeah give me a handful of hot sauce. All right that'll be $5.98. Please pull forward. Got up to the window paid for my order got my change and she handed the bag through the window. Can't remember at that point if she said anything or not Bear in mind, there were only two people eating inside the restaurant and no one else in the drive-through line. I pulled out and I thought I better check this. I just had a bad feeling open the bag no hot sauce pulled into a parking spot. Walked in and waited about three minutes for a lady to finish her order which was fine. I mean I was the second line and the young lady that was handling. The drive-through was also handling the counter and she was very chatty with the lady that was making the order and she said I'll get that for you in just a second and she started to walk away from the counter and I cleared my throat because I was in the line and she hadn't even acknowledged me yet and she looked over at me and I said I was just through the drive-through and I asked for a hand full of hot sauce there is no hot sauce in my bag so she without saying anything walks back to the bin, grabbed about a dozen packages of hot sauce and came up and dumped them in the bag and turned around without ever saying, oh I'm really sorry I got busy and forgot whatever there was nothing no communication no nothing went right back to the window where she had been taking orders and I had specifically asked for no rice in the burritos and I got home with them and I live 20 miles north of Lincoln City and there is no Taco Bell anywhere near me and I picked up one of the burritos out of the bag and unwrapped it a little bit and it was full of rice. I'm assuming they both were so I guess my advice would be this Taco Bell location is back to its old tricks like it was about four years ago where you couldn't get any order correct and they ended up firing everybody in the store and replacing them with a new crew and manager at this point super Oscars is looking really good because at least they speak to you as if you are a valued customer and they want your business. I could understand her not saying anything about oh I'm sorry I forgot your hot sauce or anything past the point of dumping the stuff in the bag if it were busy, but as I said, there were only two customers sitting at a table eating in the restaurant and by the time I turned around there was one car in the drive up so it wasn't because they were too busy anyway very disappointed probably won't be back as there are many restaurants in Lincoln City that not only need the tourist dollars but they appreciate the money that the locals spend also
