This place is a gem. The garden room looks right into the forest and that alone makes this place worth coming too. A beautiful respite from the hustle and bustle of Portland life. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. The food was SO DELICIOUS. I got the special which was the chicken fried steak and my wife got the crab Benedict - both were phenomenal! They serve sisters coffee, which is a great coffee brand that's local to Oregon. That's a point for me the coffee was great! We didn't have to wait very long to sit or to get the food. It was such a great way to end our anniversary weekend! We stopped by on Saturday mid morning and got a table right away. The service was good, fast, friendly and efficient. If I could give this a zero I would. This was my 2nd attempt to eat at this restaurant as it seems to always be busy and has decent reviews. Still, after the 2nd time, I have left before I even tried any food. The first time, I was told the wait would be extensive and I should go elsewhere for breakfast. The 2nd time, we waited 30 minutes to be seated. We were served water, and then didn't see a server for another 15 minutes. Meanwhile, they seated everyone else that came in and were cleaning tables all over the restaurant. After we asked for the server, he was there to take our food but was rushing us to order drinks and food at the same time. One of our party had not decided on food and he wouldn't skip around the table, was adamant about going left to right, and then just walked away. The service here may be the worst we've experienced. We waited over 30 minutes just to be seated, and during that time there was no effort to greet us or even offer coffee within the first 15 minutes of being sat. This was our second visit, and unfortunately the service was just as unfriendly as the first. We also had a gentleman in our party using a walker, and the small, crowded waiting area near the entrance made the wait especially difficult. Once we were finally seated, the ordering process was delayed and inflexible. If your entire table isn't ready to order exactly when the server wants to go from left to right, you can almost forget about ordering without feeling like you're inconveniencing them. We love stopping at the Wildflower Grill on our visits to Lincoln City. The servers are always friendly, the cafe is always busy. The food is always fresh and tasty. We tried the pancakes this week and they were amazing and fluffy. My husband and I had omelets that were filled generously and not greasy. Hashbrowns were a little overcooked, but I loved the crunchy bits so mine were fine. We didn't love the coffee, a little bitter for us, but everything else was great. I wish I found this little hide-away on our first day in Lincoln City! We visited on a Wednesday morning at 9:00 the first week of June and were promptly seated in the garden room that overlooks the forest. There are only five tables back there, thus visiting on an off time is worth it. Our server was pleasant and served us quickly. I ordered the Wildflower II and my son ordered the blueberry French toast. The food was served quickly and goodness the portions were enormous and very satisfying! These were the best scrambled eggs I've had in Oregon! Wildflower is a bit quirky, which I like, but the atmosphere could benefit from some background music. Nice little place right by the marsh. Some nature views from the patio in the converted home to restaurant place. This is where you take your mom for brunch. Everyone feels special here with the way the place is set up. Nothing extravagant about the place but it's clan and quaint. Service is friendly and courteous and attentive enough. One of the worst dining experiences I've had -- thanks to the way this place is run. The host/waiter handling tables was downright disrespectful and discriminatory. Over the phone we were told the wait would be 30 minutes, but when we arrived he deliberately made us wait an hour while seating people who came after us. It felt intentional, discriminatory, and completely unprofessional. What makes it worse is that the manager seemed powerless to control her staff, which is unfair to her but an even bigger problem for the guests. I was here the day the two other reviews are on here. 1st off, the place is small and they were a party of 8 (none of the areas that were open could accommodate this party). Second off they were rude, yelling, cursing and wouldn't leave when asked. Also, it got so aggressive by THEM , that I thought about calling the cops as many of the people were looking around nervous and scared. They finally left after 25 minutes of them being crazy. There was also plenty of multi racial, ethnic people in the restaurant as well. They should heed, "our kids were with us," with those same intentions. People should hear both sides of THIS story. The food was great! Great portions, bread was thick and soft, cooked amazing and service was decent (not overtly friendly, but not rude). The potatoes were good and the house bread was very good. The omelette was very average at best. The wife thought the crab cake omelette was also just average. this place was disrespectful, disappointing, and not worth the money. The only good thing about this place was the view. We went to eat here because it was a place my partner came to growing up and he was so excited. When it came to ordering I wanted some French toast and like many other people I like maple syrup, so I asked for it and the server looks at me laughs and says "We're not that kind of fancy restaurant." The server proceeded to take our order then walks away and tells the other servers very loudly that I had asked for maple syrup and he pointed at me and laughed. I ended up ordering nothing and my partner ordered himself a good amount of food and his food came out cold and our server didn't comeback to our table for 45 minutes. I could sit here all day and relax. I loved the old house, the greenery surrounding it, just peaceful. We were seated right away at a table with views of the green space, you'd never guess the highway was on the other side, you couldn't even hear it. Another thing I loved was the simplicity of the menu, I hate being overwhelmed with choices. Everything looked delicious but what caught my eye was the seafood omelet .
