A neighbor called us saying that our front yard was dying. We went there and many of our large ferns and plants were dead and others almost dead. We asked him what was going on and he said oh yeah you need a new timer on your irrigation system. I asked him when were you going to tell us? Basically he never comes to his clients to check up on his jobs to see how his guys are doing. Tragic. Our nice yard that all the neighbors loved is ruined. "Architectural carpeting" that means we have high quality spare no expense wool carpeting, you can't just have anyone come clean it, you have to have someone experienced with wool carpeting or you will ruin it. Imagine an expensive wool sweater in the washing machine at the wrong temperature with the wrong soap. I used the handy dandy Yelp app to find someone experienced , well priced, and professional to help maintain the beauty of our carpeting. Jeremy came, assessed the carpets, got to work. He mentioned to my husband he noticed the high quality of our carpet and how we take good care of it by making everyone remove shoes. Then he mentioned my spot treatment disaster where Max barfed disaster - he gave such great advice. He did thoughtful things like put footies on all of our furniture, turned his high power fans on in the areas he completed to give the drying a jump start, and vacuumed our area rug with his high powered vacuum. Next day the carpets were completely dry. We saw the same brand new carpet we saw when we first bought this house.
