Small businesses that offer a great service to the community. One of the fancy features of our house is. "Architectural carpeting" that means we have high quality spare no expense wool carpeting, you can't just have anyone come clean it, you have to have someone experienced with wool carpeting or you will ruin it. Imagine an expensive wool sweater in the washing machine at the wrong temperature with the wrong soap. I used the handy dandy Yelp app to find someone experienced , well priced, and professional to help maintain the beauty of our carpeting. Jeremy came, assessed the carpets, got to work. He mentioned to my husband he noticed the high quality of our carpet and how we take good care of it by making everyone remove shoes. Then he mentioned my spot treatment disaster where Max barfed disaster - he gave such great advice. He did thoughtful things like put footies on all of our furniture, turned his high power fans on in the areas he completed to give the drying a jump start, and vacuumed our area rug with his high powered vacuum. Next day the carpets were completely dry. We saw the same brand new carpet we saw when we first bought this house. We will make sure Jeremy, sole proprietor and operator to come every year to help us continue taking great care of our "architectural carpeting" We are so happy with his service. Community gem. My annual visit from Jeremy, owner/operator of Andersen's continues to amaze me. I have been using this company for at least 30 years and actually knew Pete Andersen, who founded the business. I met his associate when Jeremy was just a very young adult and saw what a great relationship the two had not to mention the hard-earned praise Jeremy received from owner Pete. Pete then sold the business to Jeremy and we continued to use him. There's not a corporate feel to this company. I book my appointments with Jeremy's incredible efficient and kind wife, Erin, who always confirms the day before and then the day of. Jeremy arrives as scheduled and all his equipment is state of the art. My carpets look like new after each and every annual visit. This is the second review that I have written for these folks in the past 10yrs. I have used Anderson's for over 20yrs. Their hard working ethics and outstanding high standards compel me to want to want to support them again. When it's time to pick carpet material, it is best to involve them before you decide as they have decades of experience as to which materials will wear the best. They also will clean tile and upholstery as well. I can't say enough about them and friends and family always thank me for the referral. We recently had new carpeting installed in our bedroom. After a couple of months stains started showing up. We tried to spot clean them but they kept coming back. Jeremy cleaned the carpet and it is over 4 weeks and the stains have not returned. He is very skilled in his work and takes pride in doing the best job he can. Jeremy, owner of Andersen's with his wife Erin, just left our 2-story home that is carpeted in majority of the space with light-colored carpeting. As usual Jeremy did an excellent job and we have used Andersen's for well over 12 years. Always totally professional and excellent results. We do some prep on rooms to remove small furniture items from floor, but Jeremy uses small recyclable blocks that he places under furniture so carpet can thoroughly dry. He is totally attentive to all details, makes thoughtful recommendations, is timely and efficient with his time at our house, has reasonable rates with estimate up front, and he and Erin are a pleasure to do business with. I spilled coffee on my beige carpets and called Andersen's after getting a strong recommendation from my next door neighbor. I spilled an entire cup of coffee so there was a LOT to clean up. They were able to come out within the week, and to my shock - every last coffee stain came out - including an older (smaller) spill. Jeremy was both professional and a pleasure to work with. He worked hard and thanked me for moving all the furniture as well as not using any carpet cleaners myself. (It was hard not to!) BUT. The results were well worth the self control, and when he left, I felt like the carpets looked brand new. Jeremy put me on their "auto reminder" list for next year at this time. I've been using Andersen's for two years and couldn't be happier. The technicians are courteous, knowledgable, and super hard-working. I have a cat, and two dogs that go to a kennel on a regular basis, so they are dirty pups, and my house came with white carpeting (who installs white carpet?! I know, but it is what it is). The company I work for uses Andersen's to clean our office carpet. We have light beige Berber carpet which gets dirty easily and shows every little stain. Over the years we've used many carpet cleaners in Marin. Jeremy is by far the best of the lot; in fact, there's not even a close second. Andersen's came highly recommended to me by my carpet installer who is a perfectionist. I knew I could trust his referral. I stalled on having my carpet cleaned for over a year before I finally got this recommendation. And I'm happy to say that Andersens met my tough quality standards. From the first phone call until the truck pulled away, Jeremy and Thomas were professional, courteous, on time, efficient and did an excellent job. My carpets and pads were expensive, and I have a dog. I know that carpet cleaners are a commodity. And I needed to make sure that I got a firm that didn't use cheap chemicals that left residues or who soaked the carpet with moisture that ruins the backing. Did a good job on cleaning, but up charged me by $30.00 because I had a large bedroom, even tho I told him. Needed 4 area rugs cleaned and told him the sizes. Would not clean the one by the front door, even tho it was part of the quote, because it would fade? I've had all my rugs cleaned multiple times. Still charged $30. more for the bedroom and did not give me credit for the area rug he did not clean. Hate for someone to change their price after the job. Get it in writing FIRST. Not the lousy $30., but he lost a good client over it. read more
