The only reason this is 3 stars is because it's barely a Cuban restaurant anymore. I came here in 2021 and it was phenomenal. The drinks, the food - all outstanding. It seems they changed the menu quite a bit and are trying to be more upscale? It wasn't what I remembered at all. They have waygu and truffle fries on the menu which is a little odd. The vaca frita was greasy and a tiny portion considering the price. Taste was fine, and the rice and beans were very good. The drink was great - definitely packs a punch so beware. Overall, just ok. Nice waitstaff and very pretty decor inside.

Our hotel shuttle driver recommended this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! Amazing food. Our waiter, Manuel, provided excellent service. I have multiple food allergies, and he answered all my questions and made sure I ate safely. Check it out!

I came on a late Thursday night and it wasn't very busy. Our server was very polite and took our order quickly. We tried the traditional salad with steak, Caesar salad, ceviche, and the mango juice -- all were very good. For dessert, we had the arroz con leche and it was truly one of the best I've had! Parking was easy since it wasn't crowded, though I imagine it could be a bit harder during peak hours. Overall, a great experience.

La Rosa Fine Cuban Cuisine is a wonderful family owned restaurant. We started with the chicharrones appetizer which was a larger portion than expected and nicely cooked with a delicious garlic sauce on the side. We each had a salad Cesar and ensalada de tomate y aguacate. Again the salads were larger than expected. We shared the Rabo Encendido for the main course which was enough for the both of us. The meat was fall off the bone tender and the sauce complemented the meat very well. For dessert we had the flan de la abuelita which is pictured below. The presentation was amazing with dry ice around the bowl plus water for the cloudy mist surrounding the bowl. We also had the arroz con leche tradicional which was also wonderfully done. The coffee rounded off the desserts. If we weren't stuck on a lay over from the airport then we would definitely return.

Ooooooo muy delicioso!!!! We loved dinner here at an establishment recommended by my Cuban father in law. The Malanga soup was so good, creamy and hearty. Vaca Frita de pollo was yum, and the Ropa Vieja was EXCELLENT. The croquetas de bacalao came with good dipping sauces and this place truly is a gem. They were decked out for Halloween, and the wait staff was so kind. Very cool place, gracias por todo!!

My husband and I came for his birthday. This is a hidden gem, that we did not know about. What a cute place. It is a mom and pop place that has been established since 1968. The service was personal and friendly. The food was Cuban authentic. They offer a special daily called Nanas - this comprises of three courses for 24.99. The choices are soup or salad to start, a choice of approx 8 different main dishes and lastly a choice of two different desserts. We recommend.

Great menu bursting with flavorful options. We had empanadas for appetizers and they were good. For dinner, I had a salad (that was huge), my husband had the Oxtail dish, my son's had the stew and what was equivalent to a Parmesan steak. Very tasty! I also couldn't stop with the black beans and rice, great flavor. Nice atmosphere with live guitar soloist playing music. Service was great!

I stopped by La Rosa for dinner for the first time in a while; I've ordered a few dishes on UberEats from them previously, and given they're located across from what used to be a funeral home #oldmiami probably had cafecito while at the visitation for loved ones. Anyway, since I was at a meeting at the airport, I returned on the recommendation of a client; I'd skipped lunch and was famished. They have both an inside seating area with a style mildly reminiscent of the Babylon with tablecloths and even your soda came out in glass cups, as well as an outside area. Since it was chilly, I ate inside. My waitress was pleasant, but sometimes felt that I had to wait a little longer considering the dining room was not full. An 18% automatic tip is included, even for solo diners. Foodwise, the cream of malanga soup with malanga chips soaked in was a great start to warm me up. I originally wanted the grilled chicken with glaze, but at the start of dinner service, it was not ready. I will say that the rotisserie chicken with its citrusy & garlicky flavor was an adequate substitute. Side dish wise, they have a limited selection of which were included with the meal; sweet plantains and tostones were extra. Of the small size moros and yuca, the boiled yuca with its mojo seasoning was the winner. Dessert was a crema catalana (creme brulee) with a crispy crust and berries. This was another highlight.

The service was amazing! I sat at the bar and Daniella took good care of me all night. I never had to fight for her attention. The food was very good! I loved the presentation as well. They take a lot of pride in their food. I had a margarita and it was quite big! I didn't finish the whole thing. The spot is pretty cute inside. They have a bar, indoor dining area and and outdoor dining area. The items with the red dot on the menu are on happy hour M-F 4-7. I'll definitely be returning.

Pork vaca lechon asado dish with cassava melon and black beans.

This place is the ethos of Cuban deliciousness. I had the Vaca lechon asado and my friend had the fish of the day. We were able to upgrade to a specialty meal which meant it came with a salad, a dessert and two sides. We both got the cassava melon that comes in a ramekin style bowl with delicious garlic sauce. My friend had the jasmine rice and I had the black beans which were fantastic. I often find black beans at restaurants to be OK but these were genuinely good. The pork had a great flavor profile with the barbecue sauce on the bottom of the plate and not covering everything so you could control how much barbecue sauce you want on your pork. Fish was cooked perfectly with a crispy outside and not at all over done, but I would say the seasoning seemed like pure salt. Perhaps a bit of oregano mixed into the salt in a mortar and pesto, and then lightly rubbed on the outside could improve the flavor profile. That being said, I would like to reiterate that it was a good quality piece of fish and cooked very well.

The beans are very flavorful and the dishes are delicious. Nice environment and great customer service.

Found this place when looking for somewhere to eat for dinner. The restaurant was small, but full of high energy and live music. The server was nice and polite. The food was delicious. The empanadas were full of cheese and the guava sauce really made the flavors pop. The salad was light and fresh! Would absolutely stop by again.

After a long week of work and a travel to Miami, I decided to check this place out that wasn't too far from my hotel and let me tell you, I am soooo happy I did! It was a quiet night and so I had options to either sit at the bar, at a table inside or outside and I chose the bar. The host was kind and the bartender immediately gave me water and some nuts to start the meal off. The bartender also had a variety of recommendations which I took and don't regret it one bit. I ordered the pulpo for my appetizer which was divine--it came in this tasty sauce along with potatoes, onions and capers. They provide bread to dip in the sauce--don't forget to do that. For my entree I got the Branzino. When they bring it out they torch the thyme, check out my video. It was stuffed with lemon and they also provide lemon to squeeze on top. It was delicious. It came with two sides and I ordered yuka and mashed potatoes. They are pretty decent sized and I couldn't finish it all. Lastly I ordered a glass of Sauvignon blanc to pair with the fish and I'd highly recommend that as well.

I've been here multiple times, and honestly, I haven't had a single dish that I didn't enjoy. Everything I've tried has been flavorful, satisfying, and worth coming back for. They were a bit bland and not as crispy as we prefer. Everything else, however, was excellent. The service was outstanding; friendly, attentive, and efficient, even with the restaurant packed. Every area was bustling, from the dining room to the bakery and takeout counters, yet everything seemed well organized. The restaurant itself was clean and very well maintained. To finish our meal, the three of us shared a flan, and it was absolutely delicious; the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
