It was recommended for me to get the brisket enchilada. I was not disappointed. Chips and salsa are hit or miss. The decor and lighting is kinda dreary. Not the most inviting place. But that quickly fades after some chips and salsa. The service is more entertaining than anything else. One guy was drenched in cologne, and looked like someone drew a mustache on him. Just hope you don't get that guy. Another lady looked like she was an indentured servant waiting to make a break for it. She was just sad looking. Like she needed a hug. She did not want to be there. One of the waitresses was pretty good. She is the one that recommended the enchilada. She was our waitress on the first visit, and the reason we went back for a second visit. I found that it is hit and miss here at this restaurant sometimes it's good sometimes it's horrible but it's close to my house. Everybody else seems to rave about it so I might be the only one that just doesn't have the taste for this place but sometimes it's good. Rio Lerma has been a Terrell favorite for many years. The food is always good and freshly prepared. The menu has lots of different choices, especially with different types of enchiladas. Their queso blanco is awesome, and I say it's the best in town! Service is always quick, and they keep your drinks full. We went here on a Friday night and this place does get pack. It is huge inside and have lots of servers to accommodate. I ordered the the rib eye steak tacos. It comes with a bean and sausage soup, avocado and spicy salsa. I did not really care for the spicy salsa. The rib eye tacos were good, the beef was moist and not dry. Food does come out fast so you will not notice with the crowds. The chips and salsa was good. After you are done eating, it does take a while to get the bill however. read more

Decided to try this place since it was right next door to our hotel. I was not disappointed. I had to try the chiliquilles. I had over easy eggs a d changed the Ranchero sauce to the tomatillo. It was perfect. The chips and salsa with guacamole were fresh and delicious. They did not skimp on the guacamole. My sister had the brisket burrito. She said it was very good. All if the walls are almost solid windows, offering a panoramic view of small-town life. Love it! Our chips, drinks and queso came fast - and we were happy. The queso & salsa are both thin, almost watery - but very good. We decided to share a couple of appetizers instead of entrees, and it was great! The Shredded Chicken Nachos were fantastic and generously apportioned, and the Shrimp Quesadillas were even better!! We left stuffed! Horrible customer service. We were given chips and salsa but no one came to take a drink or food order in over 15 minutes. The booth next to us came in after us, had their drink order taken and were served their drinks and then the waitress proceeded to take their food order. Still, no one approached us to take an order or even acknowledge we were waiting. We left and will not be back. We went to Los Hermanos and had wonderful service and food. I picked this restaurant after looking at the yelp reviews. We have always gone to Christina's before when in the area and I wanted to try something new. The place was packed when we arrived Wednesday night. We were seated within 5 minutes. While waiting we talked with several people who were regulars. One person said he and his family come every Wednesday night and they get the same things. So my mom got the Leo and I got the Lerma. Let me say this...I am currently eating the rest of last dinners left overs and they are just as amazing as they were when they were served! I seriously don't know how I will ever be able to try anything else. I have never eaten a chicken dinner that was this wonderful! My mother just called telling the same about her left overs. Ok we started with guacamole, salsa and chips. Salsa had good flavor and the chips were crisp. Disappointed the chip lady never brought me any salsa verde, but the red salsa was good. I ordered the Lerma special which is chicken breast stuffed with shrimp, mushrooms, onions, & cheese with a chipotle sauce (I didn't think I'd like the chipotle sauce boy was I wrong!), garlic mashed potatoes (the garlic flavor is prefect if you love garlic like I do!) and fresh perfectly steamed veggie slices a little crisp and not over cooked! My mom ordered the Leo special and it was very similar but different and just as wonderful. Her chicken breast & shrimp had a chipotle sauce onions mushrooms, cheese but the sauce was almost more like an amazing gravy, then it came with a fresh salad and rice. I had a taste for Mexican food so I wanted to find a place in Forney to try. Their reviews were good and the food looked delicious so I decided to pick up dinner for myself and hubby. I ordered Queso, Cheese Enchilada dinner with chili sauce for myself and the Chile Relleno dinner for my husband. All meals come with complimentary chips and salsa. The Queso was a big disappointment. It comes with jalapeños and spinach but I could only taste cheese. The Enchiladas were good and I would probably get them again.
