Went to Alejandro's to try a new place in the area. The chips and queso was fine. But when our food came out the person I was with found a short black hair was in her food. When we informed the waiter, Tyler, he agreed that it was a hair, went back to the kitchen and came back with a bin of OREGANO and said that was what was in the food. It was not oregano. When the bill came and I asked was the one meal taken off, Tyler stated that he is not at liberty to decide what get taken off the bill. AND he added a tip to the bill without my knowledge as he would not hand me the machine to pay myself. Do better! read more

I was seriously surprised by this place in the middle of downtown Mesquite...It has a rustic, casual vibe and the parking is good. There's an outdoor patio with live music, too. It would be a great casual date night spot any day of the week. I started out with the salsa which is to die for! Seriously, if I didn't control myself, I would easily get full on the salsa and chips alone. It's the perfect consistency and SO flavorful! This is probably the best restaurant in downtown Mesquite! Although, it's little pricey, but the food is delicious. I would highly recommend the drinks and the chimichanga! This is a place where me and my partner enjoy going to, but we haven't been there in so long. Heavily been here twice, but we do want to come here again. We like it because it's so close to. Came here to enjoy a nice meal outdoors with our dog after work. So glad we decided on Alejandro's! Isaac was super attentive and even courteous enough to check if our dog had enough water. Had some of the best mahi mahi here and gave my dad a free little dessert for his birthday. Server was chill and the music was good.

Food, service & restaurant decor excellent, my family & I have been twice now & so far everything has been great...drinks well balanced...appetizer w/queso/guac/elote was delicious, even hamburger was really good, a little pricey but quality of ingredients are there...not able to come as much as I would like w/family of 5, but a great couples night or a few cocktails/appetizer night. We got there for lunch and were the first ones in the door. Yet we were the last ones to be served, even though it wasn't packed (maybe 2 more tables other than us). The food was good, but the beans had an after taste, I think it was cumin. We are not used to that taste, so that wasn't all that great. Maybe we will try it for dinner one day and try the drinks. I have been here a couple times now and each time it's so good! The food is delicious, staff is super nice and the place is always clean!!

Found out about Alejandro's on Facebook and was happy to find a new place close to the house. We arrived around 5:20 pm and were the first customers. Everyone was nice, and the inside was clean and decorated with Christmas lights. My wife ordered the stuff shrimp and I got the Diablo burger. We requested the regular Mexican rice and papas con queso, and everything was great. Lots of flavor, and the potatoes in the Diablo burger were a nice touch. The Diablo sauce carries a nice touch of heat with the flavor. Overall a nice experience and we will be back again. Glad to see this part of Mesquite getting new businesses. read more

This was my 2nd visit to this establishment. The waitress was standing at the table taking payments when I arrived. I took a seat and was not acknowledged by her at all until someone told her to. When she brought my nachos with refried beans, cheese sauce, a dollup of sour cream, guac and a spoonful of pico (19+ dollars), the nachos were cold. I ate them because the I was hungry and never mind the FACT that she did NOT ask me if I wanted anything else even after I called after her to ask for a drink. When she came back to the table for more payments, I asked her for an Arnold Palmer with sweet tea, about 10 minutes later she brings a Dr. Pepper???!!! Whyyyy????, the food and especially the customer service will keep me and all that I know away from this establishment for good! If I could give it a -1 rating I would. read more

Just found this place as recommended from a friend.We were seeking someplace we had never been and was a great find. When we walked in the place was a bit trashed out from the lunch crowd and only one waitress but she cleaned up the tables and waited on us. She was very personable and friendly . Told us about the place had been there 5 or 6 months. We ordered Pazole and Chicken enchiladas. The flood was very good. And we will be going back for Mesquite needs more restaurants like this one. Went to Alejandro's for the first time, the salsa and chips are actually good. Besides that don't waste your money. The drinks are no good, we bought a Paloma, jalapeño margarita, CMS and ugh never had such nasty drinks. Water down or weak drinks maybe but these were gross. Had the corn - elote. Review is based solely off of service or lack of: It's a Friday night, a couple tables are available, we are greeted by host 3 min after entering (no biggie). He brings the chips right away and literally 15 mins later I am out of salsa and our drink order has not been taken nor have we met our server. We decide to give it 1 more minute just for hungers' sake...nothing. All of the servers are in the hallway hanging out having a great time. We are there last night and by far the worst food I have had. The margarita on the rocks was awesome. The chicken enchilada dinner was dry and could hardly get it down. I believe she had 2 bites. The shrimp tacos were terrible they say market price which is 25.00 what they had said last night. There was no flavor they were rubbery and they were popcorn shrimp very small and way over priced at 25.00 for 3 tacos made with popcorn shrimp. We brought up all issues with our dinning experience with the server. But we will not go back. read more

Food is AH-MAZING! I wasn't expecting the quality and flavor of food. I went 2 nights in a row because it was so good with reasonable prices. I've tried queso, elote and tequila lime chicken with cilantro rice. Best elote around and it comes with barbacoa! Rice perfectly cooked with fresh cilantro. Tequila chicken is topped with a flavorful cream sauce and avocado slices. Chips and salsa are fantastic. Salsa is served warm with a spicy and smoky taste. This place is terrific! The staff is nice and attentive, and the food is great. Everything we've tried has been delicious, but a couple of standouts are the elote (street corn) appetizer and the pozole. The shrimp dishes are outstanding too. Beware though!
