I went here after work to check out what they had. I do like the ambiance. It had that Quant and cozy feel to it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the chunky guacamole dip which was very fresh and delicious. I also ordered the Fish Fajitas, It was a generous portion and had a good flavor. The fish of course came with rice (bland), and refried beans, which they had the typical taste. I ordered the beef taquitos for.my son, he said they were OK. We were looking to try a Good neighborhood bar and we may have found one. To be fair, it was a busy Friday night and maybe things were not as organized aa they could have been. I say that because it took literally a little less than 1 minute before anyone said anything which was bothersome. It was bothersome because 4 people looked at me and/or passed me without a word. We sat for a minute, but the server had a team member come by and take our order. I liked that so the initial experience I can let slide I guess. We had nachos and fajitas which were tasty. They sure know how too finely cut up some meat which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. Imma go another time and then decide. Enough about the drinks, let's get to it!!! This restaurant is pretty large in size and is nestled at the end of a shopping center in the Douglasville Area. There is plenty of parking, so no worries there. The restaurant features the option to eat outside or inside if you choose and the wait staff is very nice and attentive. We started with the Blanco Queso with Jalapenos... it was regular queso, but the jalapenos gave it the kick it needed. The chips were good and crispy like they were fried. We then ordered the Chicken Fajitas with all of the fixins!!! It came with 3 flour tortillas. I asked the waitress if there were homemade and she said they were not. However, you can tell that they set them on the griddle to get a bit warm. Nice touch! No montaquila here, but the Fajitas were good in flavor. We also ordered the burrito plate. It was okay as well. No tres leche on the dessert list here, so I passed on dessert. In essence, this place had a great location, great parking, and great service. Go a little further down the street for Mexican. This place is unpredictable. I've had good food and service until today. I usually go once a week and get the chorizo dip with either a enchilada or taco. I am not a fan of corn tortillas so I ask for flour. I do this at EVERY MEXICAN RESTAURANT I GO TO. It's never been a problem UNTIL TODAY! The server usually gives me what I think is a smaller tortilla and bakes it. Today, I asked for my usual meal and the server Ed.. insisted that this was not possible. (I had the same meal the night before with a female server there...no issue) He brought me a larger tortilla (burrito size) with enchilada sauce... not heated enough to even be hot. The plate was not hot. I brought it to the attention of the manager and the bar person. I was also charged for the flour tortilla. That had not happened previously. It's also not listed on the menu. I paid and was talking to the manager at the door when the server said he knows how to do his job. He got VERY COMBATIVE! I know he would not have done that if my boyfriend or brother had been with me. I said I'm not arguing about food that I have to eat and pay for that was not prepared the way I asked for. I had the ground beef chimichanga, but the ground beef tasted "different" ‍ The food was also very high priced compared to other spots and the menu mostly consisted of ala cart items. Pandemic Cinco de Mayo was not a happening event and this place got it all wrong with the exception of the food! Were we wrong for even dining out? Yes!!! Should we have stayed home??? of course..... but we didn't and this is what happened! We called ahead to see if we could dine outdoors and was told we could but we ended up inside with a table near the door, but the had us all spaced out with was great! We waited 10 mins to be seated but and entire hours to get food, well let me rephrase that..... it took an entire hour for me to get my food because they didn't even prepare my dates food, even though we both put our food order in at the same time..... basically this place has its priorities ALL MESSED UP! I mean I get it, to-go orders makes them their best money right now......but you HAVE to take care of all your customers!!! It seems like the to-go orders were more of a priority for them, every time we asked for our food or and explanation for not getting our food out, we were told that the kitchen is booked trying to get the to-go orders out- which was not an acceptable excuse. Then after waiting for so long, we only receive one plate of food ....then later told by the waitress that they never put his order through, we basically just cancelled his order, I finished up eating( btw: really good food) we paid and left. Went to this restaurant last evening. Friendly staff and folks at the register. I walked in and order three entrees, which all came with chips and salsa. I requested pico de gallo and the gentleman threw it in for me. I waited 15-minutes and I had the order. I know masks are NOT mandated, but my suggestion is that for the time-being, the servers and management just wear masks (at the point of complete post pandemic...take off the masks). In my opinion, the food was decent. We'll be back...it's probably better at the restaurant, vs takeout. read more

The (blonde bartender) "manager" had the audacity to still charge us for our two margaritas and wouldn't back down. She said she would've comped our food. For food that we never received? Definitely don't recommend. Service wasn't good. Then I got my check and the prices didn't match the menu. First I was charged for rice when ai said no rice. That was corrected. Asked for a manager, waited and nobody came. So I went to pay and went to the register and said I guess I'll pay for their misleading menu since nobody came. The response was we just work here. Then it was that's the card price. First of all, when I received my ticket, they didn't know how I was paying. I tried to explain that at any restaurant they put the price of the menu on the bill and then at the bottom, they have a card price. They kept arguing with me and said we were banned. I then proceeded to cuss them out and told them I didn't ever want to come back. They got mad because my sister said they had shitty service. So one of the servers said don't talk to her like that and you can't come here anymore. I wouldn't want to. Then he proceeded to apologize to the people at the bar and said we were cheapscapes. I did use some profanity and told them exactly what I thought. They were not professional to begin with how they handled the situation. I could've handled things differently and walked away, but my money is my money. I eat out a lot and the money wasn't the issue. My issue is your menu should match my bill period. Then you charge me for using my card. My sister goes there 2 times a week and they banned their business over me cussing them out. Real epic! The food wasn't even that great. This has always been my favorite place for Mexican but I will not be able to go back. I enjoy the food which is still good but this place doesn't handle the covid virus well. The tables are not separated, the owner doesn't wear a mask, the servers don't wear gloves. On the day I went, I went early thinking I would go before people came. I was wrong. My family and I went to La Salsa for dinner this past Friday, September 27, 2019. Since it was a Friday night, we expected the restaurant to be busy and have a wait. When we checked in with the hostess, we were told there was a 15-minute wait. We put our name on the list and sat outside to wait for our table. After approximately 30 minutes, I went to the hostess to check on the status of our table. The hostess appeared to be extremely busy but said that she would seat us next. It seemed that she forgot to call our party. True to her word, the hostess sat our party next at a table across from the restroom. As soon as we sat down, a woman brought our chips and salsa. After about 10 minutes, no server had come to take our drink order or introduce themselves. As we continued to wait, another family sat down at the table next to us. Within five minutes of being seated their party was greeted by a server who took their drink orders! By this time, we had been seated for close to 15 minutes without so much as a greeting. I walked back to the hostess stand to ask for a manager. A man with dark hair standing at the cash register behind the bar, who appeared to be in his thirties or forties said that he was the manager. I advised him that we had been seated for quite a while with no service and a party who was seated after we had been greeted and had their drink orders taken. He proceeded to walk over to the host stand and peruse the seating chart. After which he told me that our party had not been assigned a server. I asked how that could happen when we were seated, and he said: "I don't know..." At that, I turned to walk back to the table to suggest to my husband that we needed to leave. While I was away from the table, my husband had taken our five-year-old to the restroom. As I waited for them to return, the manager walked back over and asked me if I was going to leave. I told him that I was going to wait until my husband returned with our son from the restroom before I decided. In the meantime, a young woman with brown hair came over and started to apologize for the error and offered to take my drink order. I also told her that my husband and son were in the restroom and I needed to wait until they returned. Within a minute my husband and son came back from the restroom. As I was explaining the situation to my husband, the manager came to the table and started collecting the menus. I asked him why he was collecting the menus because we had not decided what we were going to do and as the manager, he should have been more helpful. This "manager" then asked me "What do you want me to do?" I told him that he could have started with an apology and an offer to make the situation right. By this time my husband was just as livid and I, and we decided to leave the restaurant. It was the worst service I have ever received in a restaurant! Love love love La Salsa but they have lost a customer. We found this place a couple months ago after moving to Hiram and the food is amazing, especially the La Salsa taco. Tonight was truly disappointing, they have started charging you for chips and salsa. You get the first basket free but refills are $2.00. Now don't get me wrong, I can afford the $2.00 but we ordered a large cheese dip and apparently you don't get chips with cheese dip. You have to use the first basket or be charged $2.00. The husband got nachos but I am wondering if there is a chip shortage because there were barely any chips to it, mostly filling. You will definitely not be getting chip faced here. We received a coupon in the mail which urged us to try La Salsa, they did not honor the coupon we gave them and the food was not that good. Salsa- first bowl was runny and as we had eaten there once before we knew it was off. The second bowl was ok and what we expected, but still nothing to write home about. Chicken Enchiladas were ok. Huveos Rancheros, these were not good, most of time when I have ordered this dish at a restaurant they come sunny side up but I have never had them cooked like this, each of the three yokes had been busted (I think of purpose), the yokes were cooked hard and the sauce which normally makes the dish was not even close to what it should be. When I make the dish or when I have it at a decent restaurant the sauce has a distinct roasted tomato taste, La Salsa's version had a very bland raw tomato taste. They need to buy a Mexican cookbook. The coupon, this was the deal breaker. The restaurant is very convenient to where I live and but for the way they treated the coupon I might could find a couple of things on the menu I liked. The $10 coupon clearly stated on front that it was valid on meals over $20, on on the back of the coupon it stated that the coupon could not be used to pay for alcohol. The cashier confused that to mean that you had to buy $ 20 in food for the coupon to be valid. Our meal was $ 27 and change with about $ 13 of it in food. I tried to explain to her that it only says that it can't be used to pay for alcohol because it is against the law here to give coupons to buy alcohol and even pointed out to her that the exact same notation was on their $ 5 coupon which has no requirement you buy a certain amount of food. If management wanted you to have to buy $20 in food for the coupon to be valid, that is what the coupon should have said. Since I had over $ 10 in food the coupon would have gone to pay for the food only as required by law and the terms of the coupon. It was very frustrating that they could not understand that.They explained that I could use their $ 5 dollar coupon and use the $ 10 later on another meal. I don't know what makes them think there is going to be another meal. A repeat customer has a value, at La Salsa they traded making an extra $ 5 for one. read more

I see from other reviews I'm not the only person to have a customer service issue here. The food is not bad, but there are plenty of Mexican restaurants in Douglasville. I ate here recently, and after paying my bill remembered I had a coupon, but they refused to let me use it because "the card had already been run" despite not having written down the tip yet. I would NOT recommend this restaurant. The kicker was that they acted stupid about the coupon THEY wrote and said it only counted for $20 of food, but luckily they accepted it.
