We were in the area on a Friday night and saw they had a cocktail bar that was Christmas related but unfortunately the cocktail bar was closed. We decided to eat at the actual restaurant. They have an indoor outdoor vibe. The outdoor is picnic tables. And indoor is more like folded chairs and regular tables. We ordered steak nachos, chorizo taco, and the flautas de birria. The nachos were not all that. The cheese tasted like it was movie theater queso. It didn't taste like authentic queso. And it comes with no guac! What's nachos without guac!!!! The chorizo taco was ok. The Tortillas did seem to be homemade so that was great. And the tablas are pricey!!! The flautas de birria are small! It's 4 to a plate but they're really small so my husband ended up ordering two other tacos. Overall, it was an ok place. The service was spectacular. But the food! The food wasn't authentic in my opinion and I don't think I would be back because of that. read more

This place is a 2.5 rounded down to 2. Tried 3 different tacos, one if which was really good but the fish taco was horrible the taste of fried fish was overwhelming everything else. The worst part about this place is the price. I never complain about price either but these guys are charging $11+ for a single tiny taco. Chef Omar really did an amazing job with this one! La Santa taqueria is a true work of art. From start to end, the experience is always so great. Delicious dining experience marred by deceptive tip. My wife and I came for lunch on a Monday. Service was attentive and the food came into quickly. They had some items on the menu that my wife was elated to see- tripe, gringitas, and other items you're not likely to see at a run of the mill Mexican restaurant. The food was good, little expensive but it's Miami. For dessert we had churros, excellent. The coffee was good too. What brings the 5 down to 3 is our sneaky waiter did not inform us (nor was it indicated anywhere) that a 18% tip is included. We received no itemized receipt- just an electronic signature asking for a tip. So I tipped 20% of the number I saw. Only afterward did it indicate that there was already a tip included. I'm not really in favor of overpriced tacos especially when they're just 2, but these came with double tortilla and they were full of meat. We came here to the Wharf as this is a food truck located on the property and my two kids and I ordered a chicken quesadilla and a guacamole and chips to share.... The quesadillas both had spoiled chicken.. so I went back to the truck and described that happened.. and how I just visited their location last weekend ( Little Haiti) and. We had a totally different experience.... To be honest I wasn't looking for a refund, however when the person in charge names Omar said that I'm lying about having spoiled chicken, I requested a refund. He refused saying that it was fresh chicken and that it was half eaten... keep in mind that it's two quesadillas my son took one bite .... The guacamole was fine, it tasted fresh, the chips were nice and crispy as they should have been.. Please be mindful when ordering here. Their location in Little Haiti was a different experience.. we will not be returning. In fact because I was called a liar by the person in charge, named Omar.. I plan to write a lengthy letter to the main restaurant to discuss this matter.. it's unfortunate that you try to support small business and this is the type of service that you receive. It should be the customer's decision if they want to change their drink, the manager shouldn't refuse this request. The tacos are over stuffed with oily meat and cheese and other ingredients that you can barely distinguish. $10 "Totopos and Guacamole" which are supposed to be freshly cut and fried/baked but were literally just bagged tortilla chips and guacamole with no flavor that was basically just mashed avocado. I went with a few friends and everyone had a good time. The place offers a variety of tacos and I was in the mood for something different. So I ordered their soft shell crab tacos and it was delicious. To be honest it was a mess to eat as the corn tortillas are tiny in comparison to the amount of food it's suppose to hold. I guess that's why they give two tortillas for every taco. They also have chips and guacamole and various hot sauces to try. I saw two orders of chips and guac disappear in minutes. After we ate, we went through these ornate looking doors to get to the bar next door. My friends called it a speakeasy type bar but I don't know if I would call it that. Don't get me wrong the place was dope and the mirrored hallway was an interesting entrance. The bar next door played decent music. A bit loud to have a group conversation. I had trouble hearing someone speak 3 feet away but I guess that's the idea right. The bartenders served some great drinks. A friend suggest to order some sour, spicy, with no sugar and the dude came through. I was able to drink with my friends and it was a fun night. I admit that the drinks were pretty expensive about $20 a glass; including the tip. If your around the area and want to have good food or need a date idea, this is the spot for you. Food took about 15 to 20 minutes which is a little long for a food truck. But in their defense they were the only food joint at a jam packed event. And who dosent mind waiting for some high quality food. And they gave me the guac and chips to wait in the mean time. Extremely over priced food truck tacos. I ordered the tacos al pastor and they were all fat. I've had a lot of tacos al pastor and have never had this problem anywhere. My husband ordered the carnitas tacos and his were good, but for $8.50, in this setting, you would expect to get 3 tacos, not 2. We ordered the Guac and chips (totopos), which were good, but also $8.50 for about the same serving size you would get at Chipotle. Also, they completely forgot to bring the Guac and chips to the table. We had to get up to remind them of our order, and while they were apologetic it was still a nuisance. This venue is so quaint and relaxing. You can buy tacos and plants at the same place. The set up is in a terrace where the area is shared with about 3 other entities. The food is so pretty the way it's put together. They take great pride as to what it's presented to the customers. The food is colorful and looks like art no lie. The elote although it had the elements it suppose to have I have to say it didn't execute in the combination of flavors. However, the tacos were good especially the grilled chicken were my favorite. I wasn't crazy about the pastor taco but it wasn't bad. The manager noticed I wasn't happy with my pork tacos and immediately tried to accommodate my experience and I so appreciate that as here in Miami although we are known for our hospitality doesn't mean we quite get it.
